Ukyo x reader (fluff)

This was an old old story of mine from 2016, I edited the hell out of it. This was originally meant to be a smut, but I was not feeling it. I might make it later on if there is a demand for it and I would probably make it a Dark Ukyo/ Ura Ukyo(?) “as a part 2, smut” but that is if the people want it. But I hope you enjoy this fluff.

It was a quiet evening; everything was back to normal, (Name) had regained her memory after some time and all thanks to Orion, that wonderful little spirit. Ukyo was grateful to have his girlfriend back in his life, but that didn’t change his paranoia of ‘him’. Knowing that ‘he’ could come out at any point and hurt her; caused the anxiety to worsen. So here he was contemplating whether or not to call her; it had been a while since the couple had decided to do something together.

He stared at the phone in his hand, longing to hear her voice and to just hold her in his arms. Heaving a sigh he turned off his phone and stared at his own reflection, getting lost in thought. The wind breezing lightly through his window, the bird chirping. It was a perfect day; but his thoughts seemed to be drowning all that out.

The ringing of his phone startled him; fumbling to not drop his phone he answered, flustered

“Hello?!” his voice squeaked as answered the ringing phone

“Did I startle you? I’m sorry handsome” it was (Name) who laughed lightly.

His heart raced as he felt butterflies in his stomach. The thoughts and feelings fade and are replaced with slight embarrassment and just infatuation of his girlfriend’s voice 

“I was going to call you actually… But uh why the sudden call? Is everything alright (Name)” he asked worriedly

“Oh? Yeah uh everything is fine. I just wanted to call you to see if you are free. Work is under some renovation so I won’t be at work as often, so I wanted to know if you wanted to go out and maybe grab something to eat” he could just hear the smile on her face.

He was in thought for a moment, lost in picturing her bright smile. But his moment of silence caused his girlfriend to get worried

“Ukyo? Are you there? Is something wrong? Are you ok?” she urged out in panic

“S-Sorry (Name)... but yes! Yes I’d love to go out somewhere with you to eat” he smiled softly

“Are you sure? If you feel uncomfortable we can always stay at your place or mine and just watch a movie or something” she suggested worriedly

“No it’s ok (Name)... we haven’t gone out on a date in such a long time. I was already making reservations for us… but I uh… I got nervous to call you. But in the end everything worked out haha you called me so yes! Let’s go on a date” he rambled flustered.

(Name) gave out a small nervous laugh from being flustered by Ukyo’s honest nervous ramble. With that all said and done they had agreed on a date and to meet outside her apartment as usual.

Ukyo was outside (Name)’s apartment; in a button up dress shirt leaving the first three buttons undone, a black blazer, slim cut trousers, nice black shoes and most importantly his hair tied back in a high ponytail with his braid growing through and amongst the rest of his hair in the ponytail; and with a dutch braid on the side of his head until he let it merge with the ponytail. Some of his fringe was out but to summarize everything, he looked more than handsome.

He kicked the dirt on the floor as he waited patiently for her. He felt his hands go to his pockets fondling to find his phone and message her, but there she was locking her door. She looked stunning; her dress was a trumpet crossed mermaid fitted dress that was a mid-calf cut with a slash neck, with half sleeves with a solid color, that complimented her skin tone wonderfully. Her hair was loose and with basic makeup and basic heels

“Sorry I was trying to find my keys, I hope I didn't keep you waiting, handsome” she smiled.

She gave his cheek a gentle kiss. His heartbeat quickened and his face flared up red. She gave a small chuckle at his reaction; she loved how shy he was

“Well you certainly cleaned up nicely, handsome. So where are we going for dinner” she smiled

“Me? Look at you, you’re gorgeous! If I had my camera I would be taking photos of you, you look stunning- oh… We are going to an outdoor restaurant for dinner” he rambled slightly.

She blushed at his comments, she loved how truthful and genuine he was. She was so nervous for their date, she never wore a dress around him or anyone really; so she was over the moon to hear those comments from him, she felt like a goddess with all his praises.

They were making their way to the restaurant hand in hand, but every now and then Ukyo would switch from side to side to hold her hand; he was a nervous wreck. His hands would get clammy when they would hold hands, but he was paranoid that ‘he’ was going to come out and ruin everything in his wake.

Arriving at the restaurant (Name) was in awe at how beautiful it was; it was candle lit with soft instrumental music, with a large tree in the center giving shade for the day and with fairy lights hanging and wrapping around the tree. There were flowers and shrubs around, of course there was an indoor area. However Ukyo had requested and reserved the outside venue for just them

“So what made you want to go all out with this date, handsome” she smiled sipping on her wine

“I just felt that I haven’t been the best boyfriend to you..so I’m making it up to you, and try my very best to get closer to you… and I know ‘he’ can scare you sometimes, but I want you to know that isn’t me, I would never NEVER treat you the way ‘he’ does-”

“Handsome stop” (Name) said firmly

“Ukyo stop, ‘he’ is still part of you and I love you both equally. You can't just disregard ‘him’ like that ‘he’ is still a part of you. The things he says sometimes are yes harsh but I can’t blame him, you both experienced a horrific trauma. I Love you both and nothing could ever change that” she said with a hand on his cheek

“...I don’t deserve your love (Name)... but I’m glad you are so stubborn to stay with me” he smiled softly at her

“You know it handsome, now let’s get back to dinner and just enjoy ourselves” she smiled at him fondly.

It's been awhile after the incident with Reiji and her little breakdown. When he found out about her true feelings, he made the choice to defend her a bit more instead of her taking all the burden. He had started to keep a closer eye on her, aswell to all the things that were said about her. Which every now and then it would usually cause him to break out of character and snap at those that talk ill about her. (Name) was much happier than usual which brought warmth in Reiji and he wanted to make sure she stayed happy.

It was another day at school, (Name) and her History class were on a school trip down at the night museum; learning about history of how Japan was created and the history of their culture. Reiji being a year ahead of his girlfriend he had to stay in school and attend his classes. Amongst copying down the teacher's notes that they wrote on the board; regarding chemistry he couldn't help but overhear some voices in the class from some of the female students

"Oh my god did you hear, (Name) is on a school trip" gossiped a girl in the back

"Yeah what about it?” another girl questioned

"Well, I heard from a friend that used to go to her old school; said that she self-harmed herself" the girl whispered

"No way? You know I’m not surprised" one scoffed.

Reiji could feel his body tense as he continued to listen. He had stopped taking notes by now. He could feel the grip on his pen tighten as he listened to them wish ill will on his girlfriend

"Apparently they are learning about the our history and there sharp things in any kind of museum" a female student mentioned

"Ha! I wouldn't be surprised if she ends up cutting herself" laughed one

Reiji snapped and turned his attention to the group of female students that sat in the back of the classroom. He decided take some notes and make his comment to in hope to get them to stop before and genuinely snaps and starts seeing red

"I would restrain from spreading such ludicrous roomers, especially that of someone who is a year under you" he explained being cool and collected.

"But Reiji it's true-" the girl was cut off as the teacher told them to be quiet and not distract Reiji.

After the class had ended, Reiji had heard the girls in his chemistry class gossiping again about (Name). He decided to ignore them as he collected his stuff to leave the classroom. The group of girls wanted to grab his attention of course and he gave a very clear and annoyed response

"Yes, what is it?" he asked annoyed

"I'm not lying, about (Name)...It's silly that she cuts honestly. I've heard she even tried to kill herself a few times. I’m just surprised she’s never told you" the girl explained touching his shoulder

"It's silly don't you agree?" commented another girl

"Yes it is, but it is very small minded to spread rumors like that. Granted if it is true and she hasn’t told me then that is her decision and hers alone" he glared at her harshly

"BUT IT'S TRUE!" the one latched to his arm yelled

"Please lower your voice, you are creating a scene" he said walking away.

He yanked his arm out from her grasp as he began to leave class; people began to crowd around them as she yelled out so everyone could hear

"WHY DON'T YOU GO AND ASK HER WHY SHE WEARS HOODIES ALL THE TIME, OR THE FACT SHE NEVER WEARS SHORT, SHORT OR SKIRTS. SHE ALWAYS WEARS SWEATBANDS! ITS BECAUSE SHE CUTS HERSELF!-"

Reiji had enough and saw red. He slapped her sending her back with so much force, causing her to fall down. He straightened up his clothing 

"Don't you dare say that, she is a strong woman and it is her style...she doesn't need to be a slut like yourself, now be gone from here unless you want punishment" he growled

“WHAT DO YOU EVEN SEE IN HER SHE IS JUST SOME BOYISH GIRL! SHE’S NOT PRETTY, JUST DUMP HER! SHE’S JUST A WASTE OF SPACE. SHE SHOULD JUST DIE ALREADY” yelled the girl as she held her red cheek

Reiji’s eyes were clouded with blinded rage as he lunged forward. Subaru was trailing behind Ayato, Laito and Kanato when he heard some yelling. He and his older brothers turned to look, there they saw Reiji the second eldest, hit a female student mind sentence. They were all stunned. 

Before Reiji could lunge forward Shu had appeared out of nowhere and pulled his younger brother away. The other younger brother rushed in to calm Reiji down and to help Shu hold back their brother. There was a crowd showing up by now and some male students being the white knights started to yell at the Sakamakis, this only angered Reiji more. Shu was struggling with Subaru trying to hold Reiji while Laito was helping the injured girl up and trying to calm everyone down; Reiji was thrashing around telling his brothers to let him go and teach the girl some manners (with a bit more colorful language)

"Ayato, call (Name)" Shu demeaned his little brother

"She said she was on a trip with the school this evening, she said so before coming to school with us," Ayato explained

"I didn't ask, where she was, Ayato. I asked you to call her.Now." Shu hissed at him.

Shu and Subaru pulled him away as best as they could, Reiji insitided that he was fine. Told them that they didn’t need to be addressed to (Name). However, Shu insisted that it was a serious matter and she had every right to know especially since she was somewhat involved. This caused a ‘small’ argument between the two older brothers; about how Shu barely does anything and is always lying about and he chooses now to do something. Solely because it could get Reiji in trouble and questioned by (Name). 

Shu argued that he could care less if it got Reiji in trouble, it only mattered that (Name) had every right to know of his actions and the sudden change in his character. Ayato had called (Name), who was worried and angry at the whole incident. Boy was Ayato shocked to hear her yell, it made him kinda nervous trying to recall all the details as requested by her. 

It wasn't that long till the school had finished and Reiji was in the limo ignoring everyone and anyone who questioned him. He had already had to deal with a close call to a suspension from their principal and thus was in no mood to speak to anyone else regarding the topic.

Reiji was waiting for the rest of his siblings to arrive, however he spotted the bus that had brought the students back from their field trip. Reiji froze in his spot seeing (Name) walking to the limo, Reiji told himself that his brothers probably had forgotten to tell her about the incident. He kept himself composed as he watched make her way to the limo with unnerving calmness

"(Name) how was the trip?" he asked, eyeing her a little

"Fine? Reiji, you never ask me that kind of thing?" It was her turn to eye him up and down.

(Name) was right, Reiji wasn't the one to ask; how someone's day was. Regardless if it were his girlfriend or not, he just wasn't like that, he knew had already messed up already and was giving up his cover

"Reiji, do you have any homework to do? Oh and please don’t lie to me" she said eyeing him

"Unfortunately… No" he sighed

"Good, then is it alright if I ask you to come by my place… I want to talk to you privately at my place if you are more comfortable where there is no overhearing ears?" She sent a small glare at the brothers who were listening to them.

"...I believe it would be more comfortable, in the private of your own place" Reiji agreed

"Then let's walk"  she asked him with her arms crossed waiting for him.

With some hesitance Reiji got out of the limo and walked his girlfriend to her place. The walk between them was quiet which was normal but it made Reiji worried for some reason, while (Name) on the other hand; was thinking as to why Ayato had called her and what could have triggered Reiji to act so out of character that would make him to physically harm a female student in public like that.

Finally the two arrived at (Name)'s house, she opened the door for him. He stands in her living room and waits for (Name) to either one of the two 1) yell at him or 2) start throwing something at him. But her reaction was much different to what he thought what would have happened

"Sit down" she tells him calmly.

Just like a dog, he sits down on her couch. He leans back, pushing his glasses up to hide his nervousness. There was a moment of silence as (Name) eventually took a seat in front of him

"What happened?" she said calmly

"...Well there’s no point in lying here. The woman whom I had injured, she had horrible manners and disobeyed my orders; when I told her to lower her voice, as there were already a group forming around us. In the end, I lost my patience " Reiji explains calmly

"What was she saying?" his girlfriend questioned with her arms crossed

"Just complete and utter nonsense, I will admit; that I was careless and let my emotions get involved. I should not have not let my emotions cloud my judgement" He explains looking past her

"What nonsense, was she talking about? Knowing you, You could care less if someone was talking bad about you or your brothers. So instead of asking ‘what she was talking about’ let me ask, Who was she talking about?" (Name) looked him in the eyes.

Reiji never enjoyed being interrogated by his girlfriend, as she always makes eye contact with him to see if he is lying or not. She was surprisingly good with profiling him, that was one of the reasons as to what allured him to her. She knew exactly by his tone if he were lying, his body language if he was mad or sad, she could even tell what he was thinking from time to time; usually when his guard was down. 

However, he didn't like that fact her stare could be just as cold as his own and unfortunately for him, she was giving him the coldest glare she had. To ensure that he told her the truth

"You..." he replied giving in

"Me? Why would you hit someone over me?" she sounded almost shocked

"May I ask you some questions then? I mean, it's only mutual" (Name) nods at Reiji's request

"Are you aware of the rumours about you; that is within the school” It was his turn, to stare in  search for answers

"....Yes I am aware of the rumours about myself" she glared slightly

"I see, if I ask you to clarify my suspicion on one of the rumours. Will you tell me truthfully  whether it is true or not" he said seriously to her.

It was (Name)’s turn to get quiet. She gave it some thoughts but eventually gave in with a sigh of defeat she agreed to speak the truth; the anxiety washed over her as she gave a nervous gulp.

"While I was in Chemistry class, a group of girls began to talk about you; saying that they heard from a friend that used to go to your old school. The rumour was that you self-harmed. Is this true" He watched her reaction

"And as we walked out she had pulled me aside as class ended and proceeded to talk to me about the silly rumour, she began to raise her voice when I told her to lower her voice but she ignored it. She continued to say that you self-harmed and have tried to kill yourself a few times...and then I just blacked out." He finished

"So bottom line is, can you confirm to me that all she said was just silly nonsense" he added

She stood up and turned away from him so she could recollect herself, she wanted to believe this was all just a bad dream. But she knew far too well that this was her reality, he needed to find one way or another

He stood up silently made his way to her, so many emotions swirled within him. He wanted answers but he knows it is a very delicate topic for her, that was as much as he knew from her reaction. Well he could tell what he feared, the rumors were true; and that pained him so much more.

"Reiji Leave" she warned him

"(Name)" he grabbed her arm

She yanks her arm away from him, he glares at her harshness and coldness. He saw her shake holding back her stubborn sobs that she tried to hold back, he softened his gaze. He embraced her from behind. They were both known to dislike hugs, not because of physical contact… but because you can never trust a hug, it’s just a way to hide your face.

As he held her the sob crashed out of her, she had fallen to her knees. Reiji stayed by her side comforting her as she let out everything, apologizing and rambling on and on. He let her vent, it was what she needed. Most and he was willing to be there for her no matter how low she gets, he will always be there to bring her back better than ever to her full potential.

After that incident, he had asked (Name) to take a week off of school, to stay at his mansion where he could keep an eye one her at all times. Yes at first, she complained about it but she kind of enjoyed the fact Reiji was worried about her. It was something really out of character for him, but she also enjoyed the other brothers' company. They were kind enough to not drink her blood. 

She usually stayed in Reiji's room reading some of the books he had there, she obviously knew not to snoop around but it didn’t stop her from looking around.

Reiji still went to school as he was the typical A class student, never missing a day off school or handing in things late. But when he came home, he made sure to do his homework or study in his room as (Name) would sometimes help him out with writing things that somewhat need to use emotion rather than just text and facts.

On the last week of school as it was finishing for the year and all his exams were finished and (Name) also finished her exams for the year, she was yes a year level under him but she was doing mostly advanced classes in Mathematics, English, Chemistry and forensics, and lastly her languages. And while she had time off she had her teachers email her the works so she could finish them at "Home" while she was on leave. Reiji obviously let her take the exams at school, and when they were done she would go "home".

Friday, the last day. Reiji finished school early and he and his 5 other brothers headed to the limo with Yui following close behind

"Reiji... I picked up (Name)'s report card for her" Yui said, handing him the report card.

Looking over the report card, Reiji lets a small smile slip out to see she has all A+ on all her core subjects and her selected ones. He pushed up his glasses and cleared out his throat slightly

"Is that a smile I see Brother~"  Laito teased

"Yes it is, seeing that she is the only person who manages to have wonderful grades unlike the rest of you. She even does Advanced classes, the quality of work that I Myself get which is more of university standardized" he gloated 

"Ts, I thought Ayato was supposed to be the bragger between us" Subaru smirked

"At least I "Brag" when it's needed" Reiji smirked.

Finally,  arriving at the mansion Reiji used his teleportation, and already knew that she was in his room. When he arrived to give the good news, he saw that (Name)'s hair was wet. She had taken a shower, she was putting on her hoodie when he noticed the scars on her thighs, she noticed that he was in the room and was looking at her; she stood there like a deer in headlights

"(Name)..."

"....Reiji I can assure you that they are old scars-" she attempted to argue

"To be exact, they are what seems to be a week old...why?" he asked, glaring at her a little.

(Name) knew the glare was because he was worried, but she didn't want to explain why she did it. She muttered that she didn't want to talk about it right now.

He moved to hug her; taking one of her arms he lifted the sleeve seeing the scars that were old, some, years old some months old. He gently places his lips kissing the scars that coated her skin.

"I still think you're beautiful… and I don't ever wanna lose my best friend" he muttered.

(Name) blushed darkly at his action. Looking at her with a side glance, his ruby eyes staring into the memorising eyes he fell for. He pulled back smirking at her reaction; her flushed face. Trying to mask her embarrassment she smirks back shyly

"Oh, quoting one of my favourite bands. I see" she teased lightly.

He pulled her into a kiss.

For (Name) it was to say the least, difficult to be Reiji's girlfriend; without the constant insults that over time, has now affected her greatly. Over time she had learnt to keep the problems she faced away from Reiji knowledge. She was well aware how it can become quite bothersome, he is not the comforting type; and thus she learnt to bottle up her problems, granted it isn’t the most healthiest or smartest thing to do and she knew this very well.

Walking to school was calming for  (Name), it gave her time to just appreciate life even for just a moment. Normally she would have taken the limo, with the Sakamaki's. However, in her favor the Sakamaki’s knew that she needed space every now and then; but there was this nagging feel at the back of Reiji’s head, telling him that something was off.

Once at the school grounds she was greeted by her male friends, greeting them all with a “bro-hug” as she would explain it. Although her male friend had her back no matter what, more so when she had to deal with the female students that would spread petty roomers and spit venomous insults her way.

Whilst chatting with her male friends she was unaware of her boyfriend who had heard her laughter, as she chatted with her friends. He stood for a moment to observe his girlfriend, in hopes to confirm his suspicion. There he saw the answer, it seemed that as she finished laughing her smile had fallen as soon her friends talked among themselves

"(Name)" a deep, demanding voice beckons her over

"Hello Reiji" she smiled walking to him

"Are you alright?" He asked arching an eyebrow at her

"I'm fine, better than ever" she gave him the thumbs up.

Reiji had decided it was best to not comment on anything for now, and that he would rather wait for when they were in private. Looking at the time he gave a small sigh;

"Hurry (Name) we have to attend the home-room, and i would rather not have to wait for you to get out of detention for being late to home-room" he said turning on his heels with a sigh.

(Name) made no protest, she decided she had no sark to be snarky with his slight rudeness. They walked down the hall together, Reiji with his head held high and strong as he paid no attention to the whispering slurs around them. (Name) however, trailing behind him only two steps back; kept her head slightly down and eyes forward, but her fidgeting hands hidden in her pockets desperately trying to push the unwanted thoughts and feelings;

"Oh my god why would Reiji date her? She looks like a boy" said one female studen to her friends

"I feel sorry for him, he must be embarrassed by her" said another

"Yeah, what if some of the guys in the school start spreading roomers about Reiji being gay" another female studen exclaimed

"Ugh does she have no shame" scoffed another 

And the insults just go on and on. Obviously Reiji had heard these slurs before however he paid no attention to them. The only opinion he cared about was that of his girlfriend. With a small look to his girlfriend he could tell that she was bothered, being the observant person he is he could tell she was fidgeting in her pockets and felt anxious; and for his sake kept a strong and unbother expression.

There were times when (Name) would be able to hide her depressive mood to the point where at times she would start to think she's beaten it, when in reality she would convince herself it would all go away, but the hard truth was that it will always be there and it would be something she would have to manage and deal with all its hardship.

Sitting in class (Name) began to stare off into space, she was almost detached from reality. The teacher was calling out the roll and soon the teacher had arrived to her name. After the first, second, third time teacher then lost their temper;

"(Name) is she here?" announced the teacher.

Reiji stepped on her foot snapping her back to reality and giving her a stern look. He would never have to do this, sure he could have replied for her but he is well aware that she is more than capable to answer for her own actions.

"Here!" She called out giving a "bright" smile.

The teacher heaved a sigh and continued to call the roll. Reiji looked at his girlfriend clearly annoyed by the lack of attention to the teacher. She dismissed it saying that she was keeping track of a fly that was in the classroom. Reiji gave a sigh and put his attention back onto the teacher.

During class change, a few of the female students had circled around (Name). Startled at first she soon covered her facade with a cocky smirk. She stood herself up right slightly to intimidate but more so to be ready for whatever could come next; 

"Here’s some advice (Name), dump him. It's clear that he isn't into you" snarled one female 

"Maybe you're right, but then again. I doubt he’d be into any of you lowlives" she said with a shrug

"Shut up tranny" one snapped

"Well that's not very polite, now what would poor Reiji think of that vocabulary?" mused (Name) as they grew angry

"Go die in a hole!" one shouted

"Thought about it a few times" she let out an exasperated sigh.

One of the more slightly petite females lunged at (Name). She had no choice but to defend herself; she kicked her in the gut sending her back. This caused an obvious stir as the rest went forward to try and land a hit on her. Unfortunately it was too much; it was five against one, but (Name) put up a good fight. 

With a few cuts and scratches from their nails and bruises from their kicks, (Name) had managed to get herself to the nurses office. After small treatments the nurse excused herself to make a report and to give (Name) a sick note to be sent home. As the nurse was gone (Name) let herself cry for a bit to let out some stress.

Throwing herself on the bed staring at her ceiling fan, heaving a heavy sigh knowing it was going to take a long time for her to get to sleep. She decided on taking some natural sleeping pills to aid her falling asleep. After what seemed like a while (Name) she had turned on her side however, she felt that someone was in her room. The anxiety and paranoia started to set in, sliding her hand under her pillow she gripped an open switch blade. hearing the light steps of the person approach cause her to act fast, grabbing the weapon, she waited for them to get closer that was until she heard them call her name; none other than her boyfriend

“And why are you absent, you are lucky that I have a double free period. I would rather you not end up like that deadbeat of a brother of mine. Now care to explain” Reiji asked with slight annoyance

"Oh it’s you Reiji, what's up?" she replied.

Her back to him as she replied. There was a moment of silence, Reiji sniffed the air descrit; he smelt old blood. He grew very serious as his demeanor turned from annoyed to a protectively concern

"Don't ‘what is up’ me.... You will turn over and look at me, this is a serious situation; now please explain to me why there is a scent of blood" he growled a little

"Chill dude" she muttered curling into a fetal position

"Look at me (Name)" he growled. She ignored him

"I said look.at.me" he growled a little louder

On any other day he would give into the fantasy of making her obey and punish her, however he was well aware that this was a serious matter. He pulled her shoulder back a little so that she could look at him. She felt weak emotionally and physically but that was from the natural sleeping pill slowly relaxing her body, turning he finally could see her face.

She could see many emotions go through his face; from shock, concern, annoyed and lastly anger. Her lip cut, already scabbing with dry blood, and her left eye slightly irritated and bruised.The growl at the back of his throat began to rumble, clearing his throat he took a deep breath. Grabbing her face he examined her fully, his face grew dark in features

"Who?" He asked calmly his feature still dark

"I handled it myself" she said looking away

"I don’t care if you handled it yourself. As your boyfriend and partner, I am to protect you regardless" he sighed

"I can look after myself, I don't need your protection. I'm not weak" she snapped striking his hand away from her face

"I am aware of that, you certainly are a strong mortal woman. I’ll give you that, but you don’t need to deal with everything by yourself. You do understand that what you did was highly irresponsible" lectured Reiji

"Can you leave me be, Reiji. I wish to be alone" she said sitting up, stopping him mid lecture

"Unfortunate I cannot do that I need you to understand the severity of this-"

"Reiji" she growled

"(Name)" he growled back.

The two glared at one another, Reiji was more bothered by the fact his girlfriend was being stubborn and interrupting him when he was trying to explain something, but what was bothering him the most was that his own girlfriend had a lack of trust with him; even though (Name) had told him many times that she trusted him. It wasn’t until (Name) back down and looked away, to avoid his pointed gaze. Reiji takes a deep breath, unsure how to react in a situation as delicate as this.

Reiji took a seat on the end of her bed, his back lightly touching hers. She sat up and rested her head on his shoulder. He sighed softly as he lowered his tone quietly

"What is the matter? You seem to be out of it these past few days? Your grades have also taken a hit… (Name), I can’t help you if you don’t tell me what’s wrong"

"It's none of your concern" she said bluntly

And just like that Reiji could feel (Name) build these walls up as she moved her head off his shoulder. He glared lightly as he stared at her blank yet cut and bruised face

"It is of my absolute concern, whatever you are caught up in, it needs to stop, it is affecting your basic function of what makes you human… such bothersome and complex creatures you are" Reiji sighed pushing his glasses up

"Just leave me the hell alone, Reiji. I can deal with my problems, alone" she snapped.

She faced his back and shoved him off her bed, stumbling he was reaching his patients with her now. Getting his footing back he turned around to meet with her angered face and matched it with. Reiji had her pinned to the bed, her hands pinned above her head, getting real close to her face he growled out;

"Don't ever speak to me like that, ever again. I am not only your boyfriend but I hope you haven't forgotten I'm a vampire and can easily overpower you" he growled in her face.

She looked away from him, she could feel the tears burn behind her eyes; looking away from Reiji’s piercing gaze. With a softer tone he asked her again to just let him know what was going on with her

"You wouldn’t understand, Reiji." she said quietly

"Then explain it to me, explain in a way to make me understand" he said softly.

He let go of her and sat next to her. Slowly sitting up she looked down on the floor fidgeting with her knuckles that were bruised with her brawl with the female students;

"Look, I know not to get caught up in pathetic roomers and insults; but in the end they always come back to bite me. I hate feeling this way...you really deserve a beautiful mature woman. Not some tomboy that is mistaken for being a boy. Or some pathetic and weak person who takes other people's opinion to heart….it’s just so human yet so god damn annoying " Tears started to fall

"Why would I want someone just like myself? You humans are strange... Plus I find you very interesting... (Name) I'm sure you know this already, but I take in pride that you're an intelligent young woman. And you are not only physically strong but you are much stronger emotionally but you shouldn't bottle up your emotions" Reiji explained as he bumped her shoulder with his own.

(Name) let's some more tears fall. Reiji decided to put a hand on her head bringing her into his chest. She tried her best to not sob, the unfamiliar contact from her sometimes distant boyfriend meant a lot to her. She knew his past and so knowing that he was willing to do this simple gesture was very special

"It’s alright to cry... Didn't you tell me that" he said, giving her a soft kiss.

And just like that she fell apart in front of him for the first time throughout  their whole relationship. He held her close as she cried herself to sleep. Staying the rest of the night until she woke up, he wanted to make sure she was alright.
