At the Christmas Market, we had a Grilled Bratwurst and a Currywurst. And of course, Gluhwein. Are you even in Germany if you're not day drinking, 馃槀?

Eddie bought a beautiful silk scarf.
Afterwards, we walked around the area before heading to our main attraction of the day, Miniatur Wunderland.

We took the subway down to the Haftcity district and hung out in the area for the day.
We had breakfast at McDonald's because it was open, lol. (So many businesses are closed on Sunday in Germany馃槵).

Then, we visited the Rathaus Christmas Market.

We had a pretty chill first day in Hamburg. Took a nap at our hotel, walked down to an Aldi, and ate at an excellent local restaurant, Restaurant Rotbuche.
I had a Jager schnitzel and a Gulasche Suppe, Eddie had Currywurst, and Glen had a grilled salmon.
I also had an Astra beer, which was quite delicious and easy to drink.

Before we headed out to Odaiba, we had our last special meal of the trip Tim Ho Wan. This place is world famous for gourmet Dim Sum. Their original Hong Kong location had a Michelin Star for eight years consecutively. We spent 17,000 yen here (about $112). Well worth every penny.

Our last full day in Japan, we took the automated train out to Odaiba, a man made island in Tokyo Bay. This place was awesome. There are several different shopping centers. There are even life sized Gundam statues. Of course, I had to eat at the Carl's Jr I the food court for 'the authentic California burger experience'. It was slightly different from American Carl's Jr/Hardee's because they used Australian beef .
After eating, we saw the Unicorn Gundam transformation 馃榿

We went to the Mori Art museum, located on the 53rd floor of Mori Tower in Roppongi. The elevator ride up was crazy fast and our ears popped. Most of the exhibits had no photos or videos allowed. There is a short clip of an interactive exhibit where you walk over the equivalent amount of scallop shells that are harvested in a single day on Hokkaido. The entire show was about humanity's impact on nature. Very moving and at times, disturbing work.
After our moving cultural experience, we went to a well known Teishoku (plated meal) restaurant Yayoi Ken. Each meal came with rice, soup, cold tofu, salad and an entree of your choice. Very affordable and delicious Japanese homestyle comfort food. I'd compare it to Cracker Barrel in the US, except for the fact that your food is brought to your table by a robot

A small cafe in Akasaka that Glen and I went to while Kevin attended a concert in Nakano and Eddie napped back at our hotel. The Katsu Sando (pork cutlet sandwich) was delightful 馃い. The French fries were the best I've ever had 馃ス. Glen said that his Katsu curry was great, too. Our dessert was a souffle pancake topped with a Mont Blanc (a mound of ice cream covered in chestnut cream). It was amazing 馃槏

If you are a fan of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, you'll get the significance of this place. It's claimed that Araki named Jonathan Jostar after this restaurant where he spent many long nights working on his manga.

After round two of Ikebukuro, we hopped a train to Nakano, and visited the famed Nakano Broadway. This place is a nerd's fantasy world. There are dozens of used anime, manga and games stores. After grabbing a bunch of stuff, we headed to KFC for dinner. They were already taking Christmas orders. Look up KFC Japan Christmas if you don't already know...

Ikebukuro was so cool that we decided to go back the following morning and do more stuff. We had breakfast at a cafe that specializes in omurice. I ordered all of the desserts in lieu of food because vacation is about living, damnit 馃槅. We also went to the Capcom Cafe to buy some Monster Hunter merch.

We took the train from near the shrine to Ikebukuro, so that we could visit Sunshine City. They have one of the largest Pokemon Centers and a really cool aquarium on the 10th floor.
