a/n: I wrote this last night before bed but fell asleep before I could title/tag it. just something small.

“But, you do know that’s not your baby. Right?” Namjoon asks. “Not really anyway.”

Jimin sighs, forlorn as he gazes at you from across the party. Already you’re starting to show. But more than that, you’re glowing. Radiant with the promise of new life growing happily inside of you. Already, his heart aches. 

He wishes he could tell you how stupidly beautiful you look, carrying his child. 

He remembers the first night the two of you shared. How you both had a little too much to drink and confessed your deepest fears. He remember how you asked him to help you. How you begged for him. How you kissed him softly and assured him nothing would change between you. How it felt nothing short of euphoric to get to touch you like that. To get to hold you and make you feel good. 

Jimin can’t remember a time he’s ever felt so needed. 

He remembers when you called him. How ecstatic you were that it had worked. How you cried and thanked him over and over for being such a good friend. You finally had everything you wanted and while Jimin wanted to be happy, he found that he was the one longing now. For his child. For your love. For more.

He wants so much more, despite how selfish it may be.

And though he knows that Namjoon is right, he wishes more than anything that he wasn’t. He wishes this celebration was for both of you. He wishes he was holding your hand, kissing your lips and sharing in your bliss. That he was more than just a friend who helped you out in a time of desperation. He wishes he was becoming a father. Got it?” Sejong might be your dearest roommate, but as captain of the cheer team she definitely takes her duties very seriously.

Swallowing back nervous laughter, you attempt to flash her an easy smile. “Yes, I promise I’ll be there on time!! It won’t happen anymore, I swear.”

You quickly stash away your phone in your bag and finish adjusting your knee socks before standing and bidding her a hasty goodbye.

“Wait, you’re leaving now? There’s still like half an hour before we start!” Sejong narrows her eyes at you just as your hand lands upon the door handle. Even facing away from her you can feel her scrutinising gaze on your back, and your urgency to leave the room increases.

“Uhh… yeah, you said my splits needed some work last time right? I think I’m gonna go in early and get some practice in.” To your own ears your excuse sounds flimsy and coupled with the slight tremor in your voice, you’re almost definitely sure that Sejong will call you out.

The man didn’t reply as he stares at you in disbelief. “Babe,” he spoke softly. But you’re so busy checking your luggage and your backpack. Not wanting to leave anything important behind. “Our toothbrushes Kook, do we have them? Oh god don’t tell me you forgot. Remember Krabi? The one where we forgot our toothbrushes?” With frantic hands you unzip the front part of the luggage to check for the said items. “Mr. Jeon Jungkook?” 

You let out a sigh as you look up to see why your husband didn’t reply to you. Instead of catching him getting as busy as you are, he is actually looking at you with an amused smile on his face. “There we go, finally you’re looking at me.” With a grunt you stood facing him, eyes rolling and the little lips pout started to form on your face with wrinkles on your forehead. Jungkook leans forward as he puts his hands on your shoulders, “Babe, calm down. We’re not going to the other side of the world for months. It’s your hometown. I have packed our toothbrushes, and so what if we left them behind? We can buy them.” Jungkook squeezed your shoulders in hopes to ease up the stress you’re feeling. You are always on the edge every time the two of you went on a long trip together. 

But today it seems to get worse.
