Scream VI: 7/10
That was actually pretty good.
The characters were thought out really well.
MUCH better than the last one.
👌

Scream 2: 8/10
Not AS good as the original, but still very good.
I did like Mickey’s acting at the end. It reminded me of Billy’s acting in the first one and I liked that.
Poor Randy…
Scream 3: 7/10
It was alright, definitely not as good, but still pretty good. I enjoyed it.
Adding a brother was an interesting way to go and I can appreciate that.
It felt a little weird having only one killer in this movie. There’s ALWAYS two.
Scream 4: 6/10
Not a huge fan of this one, but I did enjoy it.
You’ll note the ratings are going down the further in the franchise you go, that just always happens. It’s just how sequels are, as they acknowledged several times throughout the franchise. I appreciate that.
Scream (2022): 4/10
They tried to be meta, but they were just annoying. If your movie is bad, being meta won’t make it less bad.
I genuinely hate Wes’ hair.
The acting felt a little bit like a darhman video. Maybe I’ve just gotten use to 90s era acting?? I just didn’t like it.
It just didn’t have the beauty of the first few.
Also is that how people think gen z act 24/7??? Is it just me or do very few of us act like that?? And most of the time it’s only online.
Genuinely the worst one in the franchise so far.
THEY KILLED DEWEY, THOSE F-CKING A-HOLES!! HOW DARE THEY?!!? I HATE THEM FOR IT SO SO MUCH.
Also, I don’t mind changing a franchise to switch main characters, but second generation stuff isn’t for me. It just never hits right. Maybe that’s a me thing or maybe it’s just never done right, who knows? I don’t.
Edit: I changed Scream (2022) from a 3/10 to a 4/10 because I can understand that it was difficult to make it good as it’s very much transitional into the next one, which is much better than this one.
Edit 2: forgot the tags
Edit 3: Scream 4 from 6/10 to 7/10

Scream: 9/10
There’s a reason it’s a classic
Beautiful acting
Chef’s kiss of an ending👌
I probably shouldn’t have watch this before some of the other classics because there were definitely references in it and I definitely missed some, but whatever. I’m still gonna watch the second one before watching the other classic. And probably the third, fourth, fifth, and sixth too.

Night of the Living Dead: 5/10
Found lots of it super boring
Found lots of it super interesting
Plot bored me to no end, but it was interesting comparing film from the 60s to film now
The gore was pretty good, considering

Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark: 5/10
Not bad.
Weirdly focused on the Vietnam War. Did not expect that.
I don’t like Stella.
The weird marshmallow looking lady was cool. I liked that part.
Didn’t like the cliffhanger
Parts of it felt was too forced, like it was supposed to be dramatic, but it fell short
I should have expected not to really like it. It’s P-13. Horror movies should not be PG-13. Gotta be rated R or no deal.
The Bay: 7/10
The format was really interesting, but it wasn’t really my cup of tea
The gore was nice 👌 Loved that
Honestly, a little bit disappointing
I was in suspense in the beginning though, so that’s a plus 👍

I See You: 9/10
⚠️Spoilers⚠️
Classic horror movie cinematography and music, but felt a bit overused in the beginning
When they showed Alec and Mindy (I couldn’t remember her name for most of her screen time) I was a bit disappointed at first because it felt like all that suspense was for nothing, but they really turned it around and I quite enjoyed it.
The piss scene was really weird
I may just be an idiot, maybe it was obvious, but I didn’t see ANY of that coming! The DAD?? WHAT.
MINDY DIDN’T DESERVE THAT SHIT! MINDY DIDN’T DESERVE THAT! SHE DIDN’T DESERVE THAT!!!
“You don’t understand. When I was a little boy-“ “I don’t give a fuck.” YESSSS!! YEEEESSSS!!
Conner’s gonna be traumatized for LIFE
THAT ENDING WAS SO GOOOD

A Quiet Place Part II: 7/10
Wasn’t bad, but wasn’t the best.
Still love the use of ASL and the idea of the island was GENIUS.
Special effects were just as good as the last one.
I was terrified for the baby the entire time.
⚠️Spoilers!!⚠️ I didn’t like the ending. The mom, brother, and baby are still in danger. These are unfinished plot points. I wish it was tied up a little better. If they make a third one that will be what it’s about but I feel like they could have condensed it into the second one.

Saw IV: 8/10
Again, not bad. But not as good as the original
The gore was AMAZING, of course.
The ending was a bit confusing but I figured it out after a minute or two so it’s fine I guess
The ending definitely tied it all together and his backstory was explained pretty well so good job on that 👍
⚠️Spoilers!!⚠️ I’m so sad Riggs died. I was really excited that they were making it so there would be two Jigsaws. His accomplice and Riggs. But nope! Riggs messed it up. Can’t really blame the guy tho. I probably would have messed it up too.

Generally, it wasn’t bad.

Saw lll: 8/10
Good but not as good as the first two
The ending didn’t hit as hard as the endings of the first two
The gore was GREAT tho 👌
And I still got that adrenaline feeling so it did it’s job as a horror movie 👍
⚠️Spoilers!!⚠️ Part way through I thought he was recruiting Lynn so she could be partners with Amanda because she seemed like she could keep her emotions in tact while Amanda couldn’t. Then absolutely none of that happened. I’m honestly disappointed. I probably shouldn’t be cuz it probably would have been weird if that did happen but I’m still disappointed.

Saw ll: 10/10
I was skeptical cuz the sequels are always worse than the original but it was great
The GORE, the ENDING! YES PLEASE.
*chef’s kiss*
⚠️Spoiler!!⚠️ Thank god the kid lived. I would’ve broken down crying. Also! Continuing the legacy? Yes, please. I love that trope. SUPER FUCKED UP USE OF IT. But I love that trope.

Just watched another horror comedy…
Ice Cream Man: 2/10
I have no idea how to describe the experience I just had
Some parts made me confused and uncomfortable
Other parts were hilarious and amazing
Why was her mom like possessed or something??? They never explained that?? What????
This is the most confusing thing I’ve seen in a WHILE
Wtf did I just watch???
Edit: Forgot the tags
Edit II: This did not deserve a 5/10. Knocked that rating down. Terribly made.

Before this year I had only watched Killer Klowns from Outer Space and Child’s Play. I figured this was a good way of keeping track of the ones I’ve watched. So far I’ve seen:
Killer Klowns from Outer Space: 10/10
Beautiful
Perfect
Amazing
I love it
The nostalgia 👌
I will defend this movie with my life. I will die on this hill and then continue to haunt it in death.
Child’s Play: 7/10
I watched it when I was like eight and it didn’t scare me at all, but my little brother was terrified at nine. So 🤷‍♂️
Child’s Play 2: 8/10
Loved the shots from Chucky’s POV, beautiful
Could have been better, but it’s a classic so I can forgive it.
Carrie (1976): 6/10
Made me sad, Carrie didn’t deserve ANY of that
Did not scare me at all. But not bad.
The Rage: Carre 2: 4/10
Sucked
I like parallels as much as the next guy, but come on. At this point it can barely be considered it’s own movie
The Nun: 8/10
Scared me a little
The beginning was sooo boring
Also, really? Maurice? Maurice? That’s what you went with? No. Just no.
The Lodge: 3/10
I could not tell you what this movie was about
It was terrible, I hated it, wtf was even going on
Confusing
I like my movies to have a villain, ⚠️SPOILER ⚠️ everyone was the villain except the dad (and the dog, poor puppy), I didn’t like that
Saw: 10/10
Got those bits of gore I like
LOVED THE ENDING, BEAUTIFUL
The Thing: 7/10 (if my brother asks I rated this 10/10)
Good, but not scary
The monster was disgusting! I loved it!
Dawn of the Dead (2004): 6/10
Answered some questions I feel like we all had about zombies
Kinda boring if I’m being honest
A Quiet Place: 8/10
It takes guts to kill off a kid right away. I respect it.
Loved the use of ASL
The Ring: 9/10
This genuinely scared me.
I watched it with my brother and made fun of it the whole time and was still scared.
The room was completely illuminated. It was like noon. I was still scared.
Beautiful movie, LOVED THE ENDING
My only issue was the weird jealousy thing with the other woman. It gave me weird vibes and I didn’t like.
Edit: I forgot two.
Don’t Worry Darling: 7/10
Teeny twinge of fear but not enough. I need more.
The acting was AMAZING. Love Florence Pugh.
Old: 6/10
I don’t really know why I watched this if I’m being honest
Not bad, but didn’t scare me
Rufus Sewell (Charles) did a good job. His acting was pretty good. The paranoia was VERY clear. So good on him.
