So, kinds nervous posting this for some reason, but I've been wantin to make my own interpretation of some different aus, but i wanted to do Ink first.

Sorry if it's not as creative as how some people design them, but i feel happy with how he came out

I have a hard time explaining my train of thoughts, so if it doesn't make sense I'm sorry I'm trying my best T-T

I was kinda inspired by the kidcore aesthetic and I wanted him to have a lot of saturated colors and paint smeared all over the place, just colorful chaos... I was also inspired by Sherbet ice cream. Don ask why idk it just came into mind while coloring :/

I didn't want to stray too far from their original outfit, but I just made alterations to fit my style a bit more and made it have some more round shapes. I also had a theme of stars and hearts in the outfit. The stars is somthin all the star sanses are gonna have as a theme (obviously), but the hearts is just in reference to his lack of having a soul.

They also have some stickers they stick on broomy that id like to think others gifted them. Same goes with the bracelets, he gets them as gifts from others and likes to traid some of them (I'm kinda projecting here lol). He's also got paint in his fingers cause I'd like to think that he finger paints a lot on random blank surfaces, especially blank white surfaces (again, projecting here)

Overall, its not much of a difference, and it's more of a self-indulgent thing i wanted to try. I hope that people can enjoy this as much as I enjoyed drawing it :)

8. What's something the fandom does when it comes to this character that you despise?

oh dear. asking the scary questions huh.

for starters i want all of this to be taken with a mountain of salt this is just my own . Opinions on the matter . i think this album is awesome in part because it’s a wildly interpretive piece of media !!!!! there is so much beauty in the uniqueness of every single person’s version !!! i play up people “not getting it” a lot as a joke but disagreement & differing interpretations are awesome !!!!!!!!!! isn’t it so cool how we fuel each others’ creativity !!!!!!!! regardless of my own characterization pet peeves i think people should do whatever they want forever !! ok ? Ok.

that being said: well ..... i'm not sure i have seen anything with whole i especially Dislike ? i have enjoyed some interpretations more than others of course but i don't think i distinctly hate anything the fandom does with him .

actually. this kind of applies to both of them . & is more of an album interpretation thing than a characterization thing . but i do get really sad when people ascribe things soul does in the album to just Being whole . i find it to be most egregious with the absolutely Shocking number of people that confidently say two wuv is a harmonia song [ITS RED ON THE WHITEBOARD] & cases where people ignore soul's presence in time machine in favor of saying it's harmonia the entire video [???].

i know soulwhole are complicated because [they’re kind of the same but they’re not but they’re emulating each other but etc etc] & the line between them is very very very blurred textually . i get it they’re difficult . it just makes me sad to take really interesting pieces of soul's characterization & say it isn't relevant because actually it's characterization for this Entire Different Guy . i also just get really defensive over this happening with two wuv specifically because two wuv is my favorite cccc song & . ., i just get Very Defensive over two wuv.

sigh. & when it comes to soul characterization. all fandoms do this with all characters it is just a side effect of fanonization sometimes i fear . but i don't like when he is pushed to extremes in Any direction. i think it's in an effort to make him . ? easier to understand ?? but it bothers me

no i don't think he's a horrible evil abuser who actually hates heart & mind & beats them up all the time for fun . alternatively no i Also don't think he's the sweetest little guy in the world & 100% the victim of the other two who has no agency as a character . the fandom just struggles to balance his love for them & his more morally questionable attributes i think
