Prologue: The End of Hopeful Futures (Part 3)

Later that night...

The game night is now in full swing, everyone appears to be having a good time.

“GOD FUCKING DAMNIT STOP CHEATING!” Miu yelled, throwing her controller onto the floor.

“I’m not cheating, I merely just completed the game before you did.” Chiaki replied, a neutral facial expression on her face.

“OH FUCK OFF!”

“Um is it my turn now?” Chihiro asked.

“I’m guessing not.” Makoto grabbed his hand. “Come on, you want a snack?”

“Oh, okay.”

The snack table wasn’t doing so good either in the non chaotic department.

“Hey that’s mine!” Hibiki chased after Kanade, who has a plate of cookies in her hands.

“No it’s mine!” Kanade ran around for a bit, and stopped when she bumped into the snack table, and somehow making it tumble and sending everything off.

“What the fuck?!” Mondo, who had been trudging over to the table, swore.

“I’m sorry! It was my fault!” Hibiki apologized, taking the blame for the incident.

“It’s alright, Hibiki.” Iroha reassured her.

“Good thing we got a lot of food, anyone volunteer to go and get them from the cafeteria?” Setsuka asked as she went to clean up.

“I will.” Makoto raised his hand.

“Are you sure? There’s a lot of food to be transported here.” Chihiro questioned. “Maybe you should take someone with you.”

“I’LL HELP!” Nekomaru’s voiced boomed out.

“Thanks Nekomaru.” Makoto smiled, and with that both of them went out into the cafeteria.

They managed to get a decent supply back, but then Nekomaru had to go to the bathroom to, in his words, ‘take a huge shit’. Makoto did not dare to imagine it as he did the job on his own.

Unfortunately for him, a mysterious figure is approaching behind him, ready to strike...

Somewhere behind the school of Hope’s Peak...

“Remember what I told you to do?” A mysterious figure told their accomplice.

“Yes, I will not fail you.” The other bowed to show their promise.

“Good...they’ll never see it coming.” The figure giggled sinisterly.

“Sorry bud, but you’re a bit too late for that.” Yasuhiro says as he sees Mondo glaring at nothing in particular with his arm wrapped around Kiyotaka’s shoulders.

“...in the middle of overworking himself it seems.” Emma answered as she sees the journalist in his lab, multiple cups around the table he’s at.

“What? If there’s a new scoop of course I gotta write about it!” Nikei protested as he heard Emma come in, continuing to type away without a care.

“This is why no one trusts you to sleep on your own.”

“If you actually have a body I would so punch you-!” Ayame was cut off when a certain redhead maid walked into the cafeteria.

“What’s going on? I heard some shouts.” Akane Taira asked.

“Oh nothing just talking with Ayame about her cru-” Sora was going to continue when Ayame intervened, a blush covering her face.

“About the game night!”

“I see, I do hope it turns out to be fun!”

Yoruko gave an annoyed yet knowing look at Ayame.

“...what?”

“To put it simply, we’re preparing for a game night. It’s just been established recently so it should be expected that...” Maki was about to continue when she saw Kokichi intentionally knocking over some supplies brought in by Kaito. “...things would not go smoothly. Especially with the gremlin around.”

“Hurry up slow ass bitch! We still have so much things to take care of!” Hiyoko shouted at Mikan, who is struggling to carry a few bags full of drinks.

“I-I-I’m t-t-trying Hiyoko!” Mikan protested weakly, looking like she is about to fall over.

“Here Mikan, allow me to be of assistance.” Thankfully, Peko came in to defuse the situation, easily carrying the bags to let Mikan rest her arms.

“T-T-T-Thank you P-Peko...” Mikan smiled graciously.

“Ugh, if it weren’t for her we would be here until the sun set y’know.” Hiyoko groaned, crossing her arms.

“Give Mikan some slack would you? It’s just the four of us here after all.” Hajime sighed. “And to answer your question, we all are fine, as for me...not exactly.”

“Who are you talking to Hajime?” Peko asked as she and Mikan begin to depart.

“No one.”

*Whispers to Chihiro* I assume you told makoto about the thing, aside from him, who else did you tell?

"Um...yeah...I did tell Makoto, and he encouraged me to tell the others too." Chihiro smiled, a blush starting to cover his face. "I'm surprised they accepted me for who I am. He is quite the lucky charmer I must say..."

"Ayame huh? I heard she has a crush on Akane Taira." Sora answered. "I do hope she can realize she's in love-"

"For the last time, Akane is just a friend Sora." Ayame walked in, with an annoyed look on her face.

"You might be worse than Ruko when it comes to denying who you love~!" Setsuka teased from the kitchen.

"No I am not! Shut it!"

Setsuka just laughed.

“Come on, we all agreed to wake up early today didn’t we?”

Hope’s Union Description

In a non-despair AU, the THH, SDR2, V3, DRA and SDRA2 cast are all students of Hope’s Peak. Whilst enjoying their lives, an unknown danger is posed to them that may shatter their peace for good.
