the thing about the dsmp is that it's so ripe for rewriting there are so many interesting plot threads and details that got dropped and went nowhere or could be made more impactful. but it's impossible to rewrite. because a huge part of the dsmp is all the different perspectives and overlapping storylines and pretty much any attempt to rewrite the story is going to have to necessarily flatten that.
