Mine has a pretty obvious reason lol I really liked Hooty but I might as well tell the whole story

For a while back in like pre 2022 I was going by N/A on all platforms. Then like mid 2022 I made my first discord account so I could join a server with people sharing owl house fan art and I was like N/A is not a very good name for interacting with people so I was like hey I’m joining an owl house server so I might as well make it owl house themed. So I was originally thinking about doing something involving Willow lover but I thought it was weird to use a humanoid character for the name so I settled on me second favorite character at the time Hooty and the lover part because I liked the character

The funny part is when we get to the 2000 part. Hootylover was not taken on discord but i just didn’t like it. It fit like the end was hanging so I added the 2000 part.

Also another tidbit is that for awhile I had a slogan and it was “just a Hooty lover not born in 2000”

For my name it was a nickname I was giving back in middleschool! One of our teacher had a system where we worked with 'wifi' eachtime we talked in class we lost a bar of the "wifi" (was a weird joke and we never held count on that) All the kids usually joked if they needed 'wifi' , they would borrow mine if they wanted to talk more. (I was incredibly shy in middle school, I only talked to like 3 people at school;^;)

They called me Ms. Wifi because of that. I just thought it would be funny if I put 'miss' instead of 'ms' because of my terrible actual wifi connection I have at home lol.

This is kinda a rant but I just need to get this out. Scream it into the void if you will. FYI this is like a good 4 paragraphs long.

So basically I went New Year’s party in a library that a friend that I will call E invited me to it was chill it was a bunch of middle and high schools running around, talking to each other, and playing games and we only counted down to 10 instead of midnight so people could get home. Anyway I was talking to this one pretty socially awkward guy who I will call “guy”. A little later we started playing a game called murder in the dark which I just among us without tasks, throughout every round he followed me around and didn’t tell anyone that I was the murder one round. One thing you need to know about me is that I have a large personal bubble to the point I won’t sit next to anyone except my friend of 4 years and my direct family. Anyway he was kinda poking the bubble he eventually saw I was a tad bit uncomfortable and backed off a little. At some point he asked for my phone number I was chill with it and gave him my phone number. Something I probably should have mentioned was that through all our interactions he seemed like he may have been flirting with me or he may also have just been being nice. Either way I didn’t want a romantic relationship with anyone so the flirting would have only ever been one sided. 

Yesterday (January 1st) he apologized for being a little bit annoying and that if he was making me uncomfortable he apologized for that too. Anyway he asked he he could ask someone questions, I said yes and he sent me the following text “What are your pronouns? Sexual orientation? What you want for a profile picture? And anything else I should know about you? I just don't want to make an assumptions” I sent the answers. Then we just exchanged interests like our favorite interest and he wanted to play Minecraft with me and I just didn’t reply. Rude of me but I still had a sneaking suspicion that this dude was flirting with me and I didn’t know what to do. Anyway later that day I had invited over my friend E over to finish a show we were watching. Guy eventually texted me about how he hoped me and E were having fun hanging out which kinda confused me at the time but currently me thinks that when E was picking up her phone periodically it was to text guy. After E had left dude had sent me a text asking if he could ask more questions I said yes and here’s the questions “Are you actively interested in anyone? If yes who? I know people and might be able to help if you want” then followed it up with that he was not trying to flirt. I just said I wasn’t interested in anyone and don’t intend to be in a relationship anytime soon. He asked me if he could ask one more question and I said yes and he told me that we had a mutual friend who liked me that he wanted to help out and if I wanted to known who it is with their permission. At this point it all I knew was that it could be one of 2 people E or this other dude who I will call S (he will not be brought up for the rest of this story). After all this he asked if I knew how to minmax in dnd and I just knew this was not a ploy lol.

Today (January 2nd) first thing in the morning E asked me if she could ask a weird question and my heart dropped because I just knew that it she was gonna ask me out. She didn’t she asked me if I knew what aro or ace was and telling me that the was ace and told me that a different mutual friend had known what the terms were when she had told them because I had talked to them about it before. I told her yes and I knew the terms because some of my friends are aro ace and that I fell under the aro umbrella because I’m demiromantic. Anyway we joked about taking over Denmark. Then like and hour ago guy texted me saying that my “secret admirer” had another question. I said go ahead and he asked if I would consider being in a queer platonic relationship. I don’t actually fully understand the terms of one so if someone is reading this and have been in one can you please explain. I said I don’t know and that I would have to think about it and then he asked if I would like to be this person’s valentine and that any “date like activity” would not continue past Valentine’s Day unless both parties agreed. I said I would think about it.

That’s where everything leaves and I don’t know what to do I am 100% sure it is E now and I really don’t want to let them down but I also don’t really want to be in any kind of relationship till I fell ready and I don’t think I feel ready. So if you random internet people want to give me advice you can but yet again this is more to just yell these words some where.
