I tried 135kg for strength training today but got crushed.

I needed to get used to the weight, so I tried squatting 145 kg but was crushed.

Then I practiced squatting 175kg for a bit.

Not even close to half squat depth, but it was a good experience.

My body is exhausted.

A good thing happened.

I've been training my muscles, and in addition to setting a new personal best for deadlift at 135kg, I've also succeeded in squatting 135kg.

I can now bench press 50kg x 4 sets.

My body is a wreck and it's tough, but I feel like I'm growing.

The same goes for painting. I feel like I've been writing well lately.

The other day, a fan of my boyfriend's was visiting from Florida with his cousin. He said he liked games, so I asked him what kind of games he liked and he said all the famous ones.

Touhou didn't seem to know, which was sad...

The Kobe beef he bought me was to die for (I live in Kobe and had never had Kobe beef, so it was a gratifying experience).

I had a good day in strength training today.

For a while now, I have been failing to squat at 130kg for about 6 months, but I succeeded for the first time in a long time.

Moreover, I also updated my rep PR and succeeded in 120kg x 3 times and 105kg x 11 times.I looked at the conversion chart and found that I can actually squat 140kg.

It gave me confidence, so I will try 140kg next time.

I also succeeded in bench pressing 60 kg, a new personal record.I am afraid of muscle soreness tomorrow, but I think it is a happy soreness.

Please help. I would like to hear your opinion.

I put out a call for commissions at X today, and I received a DM from an English speaker who would love to be considered for the job. I am a commission seeker. I posted as “touhouProject or Vtuber character only”. And this is what I received.

At this point, I could have refused because they were ignoring the post's requirements, but once I explained that we only accept characters with a given title.

And then…

No, listen to me! And well, this is not how the conversation goes. And again, “We do not handle portraits. We only accept commissions for character illustrations. I replied, “I'm very sorry, but I'd like you to find someone else.” But I kept getting DMs from them asking me to draw them for some reason or another.

I would love to ask all English speakers here if this is the so-called “scam” guy or not.

There is a commission scam going on among English-speaking Japanese illustrators, where they offer to draw your dog or your daughter or son, and then direct you to a fake paypall site with a high payment offer.

So far, I have yet to get an email address from this person or be directed to a fake paypall URL because I keep rejecting them. Should I reject this person?

The other person's X account says he/she registered in 2013 and never posted anything, and he/she follows 4 people but only follows Chinese, Japanese, and English accounts of the same information transmission site, so it's just suspicious!

I can understand if they commission a successful artist, but to suddenly offer me 600$ to draw my daughter's picture without any context seems suspicious to me…. They say they think my paintings are attractive and valuable, but it seems like they are just trying to flatter me…. I'd like to hear everyone's opinion, so please let me know.

I had been avoiding this kind of composition because I was not good at it, but I felt the time had come for me to take on the challenge, so I gave it a try.
