Despite October being a rough month I wanted to draw something, and seeing as I wanted to draw multiple more monstrous races I drew this. Despite being more simple, I do really like the shading and the lighting, and the character designs are nice. I think this turned out actually pretty good for my limitations and my energy. Oh also, if anyone can figure out what the Orc design is in reference too (the orc is the guy on the leftmost part of the picture) you get positive reinforcement from me.

I felt like I was getting the hang of the process on this one but I'm overall less happy with the results. Also, I did the thing where I drew a hand, didn't like it, decided to trace my own hand, liked that even less, and then freehanded something I actually liked. Call that character growth?

What else? Ummm, backgrounds are hard! I really wish that snakey smoke had worked out but I was so mad at it after a while that I just gave up and went another direction. Wish I'd played more with the facial structure before I colored it. Overall! Not bad! I love drawing my angry babygirl. I've already started two more pieces that include her. One of which is a series which I cannot wait to share, featuring a "what-if" of all the family members at/around present day.
