NQ Photography CLASS REPS
Class Reps for YOUR course.
Influencing Change at City
Students on every course in the College have the opportunity to elect two Class Reps each year.
These reps are chosen by you and your class, to represent your specific interests and needs.
What makes a good Class Rep?
Your rep(s) have to be pretty good at listening and putting forward any thoughts or suggestions you as a group might have.
They are a great way to keep communication happening in a positive way throughout the year.
Class reps do not need to be the loudest voice, or the most experienced person, they just need to be good at listening and representing everyone as best they can.
Why not become the spokesperson for your group this year?
You can self nominate to be a class rep on the padlet board we've set up for you - link below
Place your nomination by Weds 29th September
https://padlet.com/photostaffcogc/j62zr0nss1x101t2
📷 OUR class reps Nomination Board
Your nomination starts here! If you would like to be considered for class rep - let us know why (and add your name and course). If there's a lot of interest we will make a shorter list. A voting form will then follow.
Voting
Once we have some names for each class group, we'll send around a digital voting form which will only take a few mins to cast your vote.
We aim to have all class reps selected before the October Break!
Here's a link to the Student Association site where there is more information about being a Class Rep.

What does a class rep do?
The role of a Class Rep is to gather feedback from students on their course related to their learning experience.
This ensures all students get to have a say about the way they are learning.
Class Representatives should:
represent student views,
let staff know what students most enjoy,
resolve any problems students are experiencing,
improve the quality of education,
and so much more!

Thursday 5th November 5pm - What an opportunity to sign up for this fee talk with renowned photographer! Not to be missed!
About this Event
In 1980, following a commission by The Sunday Times, French photographer Raymond Depardon travelled to Glasgow where he went on to create a stunning collection of images of life in the city.
Hosted by the University of Glasgow, this interview is a rare opportunity to hear Raymond Depardon speak about the genesis of the project, the position of this collection in his body of work, and the power of the photographic image to capture people and place.

This is great advice from Sean Tucker on how just shooting with your phone is the best way of starting to see like a photographer. Use this advice to find your locations for Seeing The Light project.
