Patient #1: You’re sweet. Such a good girl. You married?

Me: No sir.

Patient #1: Well I hope you find a man and marry a man that deserves you.

Me: Aw thank you so much!

Patient #2’s daughter: You’re doing a really good job taking care of my mom!

Me: Thank you!

Patient #2: You’re a good care giver. I really appreciate you.

Me: That means so much. Thank you!

Patient #3: I try not to bother you because I know you have a lot of work to do. Only when I really need something, I’ll call.

Me: Oh no! You’re never a bother. Ma’am.. THIS is my work. You are apart of my work. I’m here. To help you.

Patient #3: Thank you so much dear. I really thank you.

Patient #4 refused to get up to get onto the stretcher to leave but listened to me when I came in the room. 🤙🏼

Heyy IG. 👋🏼 It’s been awhile.. First and foremost, I want to thank God for blessing me and staying by through everything. I also wanted to thank my wonderful family for not giving up on me the past 22 years but most especially this last year. 2017 was a tough year. 2017 broke me, knocked me down, punched me constantly, and made me feel like the suffering would never end. I was in a hole. Anxiety can surely kick you in the butt when it wants to. Lost a few loved ones too. (#BabyBurns #NinangMelve) The biggest lesson I learned is to truly #LoveYourself. For years, I have failed to do just that. I’ve poured my heart & invested time into others that I never even stopped to see if I was fulfilling my own desires and needs.. Without the guidance of my parents & everyone’s support, I wouldn’t have made it this far. It’s safe to say I’ve grown another year wiser and so proud of the progress I’ve made. From working on my relationships with each one of my family members, losing 40lbs, living a healthier lifestyle, becoming stronger; physically, mentally & emotionally, working 2 Jobs, then getting hired at Medstar Southern Maryland Hospital (which now makes 3 🤑😅), and finding my way back to my #TrueSelf. 💙 Forgiving, forgetting, & letting go of all the negatives in my life was the best decision I could have made in 2017. Now? I can’t wait for what 2018 has in store for me. 😊 Cheers to #NewBeginnings, to #NewFriends, and a #NewLife. 🥂🍻 Thankful for those who never left me when times got hard. 🙏🏼 Y’all know who you are. Lastly.. my Angel. Although she isn’t here physically, I know she’s always with me. 💛 I know how proud she is in heaven and I only work to make her more proud every day. #NeverForgotten. -Andrew Bernard Burns- damn this is a tough one.. it cut deep. Sunday news and I’m just now getting the courage to post about u. Heart is heavy cuz it hit way too close to home.. another fallen eagle.. another fallen clipper.. but God gained another angel. 🙏🏼 these are the only pics I have.. it’s been a long time but u know I’ve always been here with u. ✊🏼 growin’ up where we’re from wasn’t always easy but we managed.. 5 years young to 22 years old man. memory lane: back in kinder, we were always next to each other in class, #inseparable. even for class pictures like the one I have up there..👆🏼 u were always hyper..& pressed to be the line leader.. lol. u claimed me as ur first ever girlfriend & i did the same, u were my first ever boyfriend.. at 5 😂 the only difference was, every year u told anybody that didn’t kno cuz everyone knew..lol & we carried that with us all these years. a little crush that blossomed into a great friendship.. leading all the way to 8th grade..still the happy kid in class, always smiling, & just sharing ur positive energy.. even when we separated high schools we always kept in touch.. u were always good at that.. & then we ran into each other at PG college where we took our last picture... i do wish we followed thru with the plans we had, but we’ll meet agn someday.. educated, God-fearing, & incredibly talented.. wish u were given the chance to share more of ur art.. cuz that eye behind the lens is amazing & the confidence u have when you’re in front of it is rare. u might be way up there now, but just kno u won’t be forgotten down here. #promise, u had such a good soul & heart..I have no doubts, i kno u entered those gates with no problem. 🙌🏼 say hello to gma & auntie for me pls..& rest easy 🌹 u left us too soon bro..God knows. #babyburnsforever 👼🏾💙 #drivesafe #loveyours #instagram
