Doubleheader! Sorry for the pun! On November 8th, 1896 Stanley Raymond "Bucky" Harris was born and on November 8th, 1977 Bucky Harris passed away. He played for the Washington Senators from 1919-1928 and the Detroit Tigers from 1929-1931. In addition to being a MLB player he also spent time being a MLB manager and executive. He was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame by Veterans Committee in 1975. Read more about the history here.

On November 6th 1990 a massive fire broke across four acres of the Universal Studios back lot. It destroyed the New York Street, Brownstone Street, a portion of the Courthouse Square where Back To The Future was filmed and the Dick Tracy building. Read more about the history here.

day 2 / On November 5th 1872 Susan B. Anthony tried to vote in the presidential election and was fine $100 and later arrested. Women did not get the legal right to vote until August 26th, 1920. Is it not insane to think it’s been less than 100 years since women could legally have a say in the outcome of an election?! Read more about the history here.
