1. Pro artist people are not against recasts because of their price. We are against them because they’re a form of art theft. Recasts hurt the companies and artists.

2. Doll companies are not large corporations. Doll companies are very small. These are real individual people that are losing profits, not nameless faces.

3. Several companies and artists have made public statements saying that recasts are harmful to them. Soom, Luts, Fairyland, Iplehouse, Dollzone, Kaye Wiggs, Atelier Momoni, and Lilycat, just to name a few of them.

4. Buying recasts is still harmful to the artists and companies whether or not you do good things like volunteer work or donating to charities.

5. Buying recasts is still harmful to the artists and companies whether or not worse things are happening in the world.

6. Buying recasts is still harmful to the artists and companies whether or not anti recast people do bad things too.

7. A company or artist having long wait times for their products does not justify stealing from them.

8. A company or artist not selling something in the color that you want does not justify stealing from them. Also, Rit Dye exists.

9. A company or artist having poor quality control does not justify stealing from them.

10. A company or artist doing something problematic or wrong does not justify stealing from them.

11. Being excluded for supporting art theft is not comparable to any group of minorities facing violence and discrimination.  

12. It’s not elitist to disagree with stealing from doll companies and artists.

13. It’s not elitist to exclude recasts from legit only groups.

14. It’s not bullying to say “supporting recasts is supporting art theft”.

15. It’s not bullying if a faceup artist refuses to work on a recast doll.

16. Pro artist people asking you to tag your recasts is not bullying.

17. If you can afford to buy multiple recast dolls then you can afford to buy at least one legit doll.  

18. Less expensive legit dolls exist, there are many wonderful legit bjd sculpts that are less than $300.

19. Most recast dolls go for around $130 or $200. There are plenty of legit dolls that cost the same amount or less.

20. For two recasts that cost $200 each, you could have one legit doll that costs $400 or even two legit dolls that cost $200 each.

21. Dolls are not a necessity. People getting paid for their work is a necessity.

22. You can use legit dolls for coping just as well as you could use a recast for coping.

23. Being mentally or physically ill is not an excuse to support art theft.

24. Being disabled is not an excuse to support art theft.

25. Being poor is not an excuse to support art theft.

It’s not elitist to say that your recast isn’t a real Fairyland/Volks/Soom/etc. if you didn’t buy it from the company or secondhand. It’s in the LITERAL definition of what a counterfeit is plus you know it’s fake so what are you bothered by because we call it a fake? If you get upset because people won’t acknowledge your recast is “real”, then I don’t know any other ways to say that you’re childish and entitled, or do you not know what those mean either?

Even if doll owners really are fat or ugly like people assume, why is that so horrible? If someone being unattractive *to you* is the worst crime someone could possibly commit, then maybe you should rethink your values. Personally, I would rather be hideous with a great personality than be beautiful and treat people like shit for no reason.

For people saying they like their dolls appearance more than their own, well, they are dolls, of course they are perfect. They are sculpted to appeal for buyers. You are a person, you are so much more than that. Dont believe societys idea that woman need to appeal to man, or the opposite. Thats BS, you need to appeal for no one besides yourself. And contraty to that immortal doll, you will die, and just like you that gorgeous person will too, and you will both become dust. So care about what kind of inheritance you will leave to the world when you leave more than the body people see. Because that whats stay, and what really matters.

To everyone that supports recast BJD... Dear, BJD is an art. There is a reason why a Dollshe doll costs more than Bobobie one. You can't claim that it's all the same piece of resin. The only thing that same from those companies are... They produce dolls that equally beautiful.

And if you don't have enough money rite now, you can always opt for layaway. Some dealers accept longer layaway and will let you stretch the budget more for those limited dolls. Or you can save up for longer time and find a second hand one. My Volks dolls are both second hand. It's fine for me, cause I support the real artists and I can freely share their photos on my social medias, plus I can bring them to any doll meet.

Dear, there's that happy feeling that you won't be able to describe when you bring your genuine doll to a doll event and able to meet their sculptor in person. Do you know that sculptors are always happy whenever they see doll owners show them the dolls that they sculpted? :)

Let me tell you a story, how Little Monica's sculptor recognized my Crow in a doll event and he praised him. He said that my Crow is unique and thanking me for loving Crow. I almost cried when he humbly told me his appreciation.

Do you think he did that only to keep a customer like me happy? No, he truly loved the fact that I treasure my Crow. I saw the honesty in his eyes. He told me his true feeling.

Those sculptors and doll companies might look luxurious, but you know... it's not like that. They have to work very hard just to produce 1 doll that pass their quality control. There's other staffs that they need to pay, beside the sculptor. There is an English manager (also a Chinese and Japanese manager for companies like Soom and Dollmore), staffs that taking care of the orders, the face up artist(s), the wig maker(s), the designer(s) for outfit and shoes + they take pretty promotional pics, which means they have to pay a photographer and a photo studio (and all of those photo background and photography equipments) + a good camera with a few lenses.

They are investing money in order to release a new doll. Please pay some respect by buying from the doll company or their official dealer.... or get them second hand from another fellow doll owner.

If you think this and that company are so expensive & the resin quality is not good, it's okay. No one will force you to buy a Minifee Celine or IDealian Phonolus if you think they don't worth your money. You can always choose other dolls from different companies that suit your style and you think worth the price.

Don't buy recast for any reason, Sweetie. You are giving money to people whom don't even deserve it. Imagine if you work so hard and your co-worker just claim your work as his/her. Then your boss gives him/her a bonus for that work he/she stole from you.

Imagine if your co-workers keep doing that to you and you can't prove it to your boss that you are the best staff, not the thief. You'll feel down and not appreciated, you might even resign from your company and become depressed.

Yes, recaster is stealing idea from the real sculptor. If you buy recast with the knowledge of it, it means you're their accomplice. Obviously, you don't want to accompany the recaster in the jail, do you? :)

I know it's your money, you can use it in any way you like. Just don't hurt other people in the process... Believe all you want, but buying and supporting recast are hurting the doll sculptors, companies and your fellow BJD collectors.

If you say Resinsoul dolls are good enough, thanks a lot, Dear! ;) Please keep supporting them, don't let them feel bad cause you choose a recast from Fairyland over Resinsoul's pretty and genuine dolls.

I hope all those pro-recasters are happy with the latest insanity that’s going down. I’ve said it once, I’ll say it again, let’s go back to shunning and shaming those who buy from and support recasters. No more playing nice, no more worrying about their feelings, that route only made things worse. Time to cut connections and sever ties. You buy recasts; you’re getting cut off of the group. Period. Go cry in your corner and feel sorry for yourself, I don’t care. I’m done being nice.

Luo, the big name recaster, it seems, has been filing trademarks in China, the US, AND the EU. For several bjd companies. Several. It’s not enough that people are buying his fakes. Now he wants to make it where people have NO CHOICE but to buy his fakes. He wants to cut legit companies off from their customer base. If that isn’t harm to the companies and the hobby itself, then what the fuck it.
