It's very interesting to listen to history lectures that first say that there was no slavery at a certain period of time, and then follow it up with something like: "women didn't have the right to marry at their free will, property was passed down from father to son..." and so on.
you are absolutely sure that there was no slavery, right?

This woman was the neighbour of his grandmother, who was raising him. He knew her for years. He helped her with chores. They were familiar and on friendly terms. He watched pornography and was put on restriction by his guardians, which led to him breaking into his 91- year-old neighbour's house to use her ipad to watch porn, inspiring him to assault her in her sleep.
His DNA was found on her underwear, he confessed during interrogation (though he refused to admit it in front of his grandmother, that poor woman.) It is an open and shut case. Do not underestimate the insidious consequences of pornography on the minds of children who have yet to learn empathy, cannot comprehend long-term consequences or understand the harm they cause others with their curiousity.
Pornography is evil incarnate. Do not trust any males around you. ever.
Imagine being the grandmother raising him. Knowing what he's capable of. Wondering if he would have done it to you if he'd gotten the chance. If he'll do it to others.
Sentencing for 14-year-old boy accused of raping 91-year-old woman set for early 2025
I am disgusted, this poor woman

Just thinking about michfest. Women set up a village of 6k women taking care of everything from food to childcare and it just showed how women can create a massive, functioning system if only we dropped the socialization to constantly appease men.

My favorite story of female solidarity is my moms best friend's sister. She escaped a piece of shit boyfriend who hit her and moved into her best friend's townhouse. Her BFF was a cop who lived with her K9, Sprinkles. He found out and broke into their basement, but Sprinkles went apeshit and chased him into a corner on top of some boxes. He was stuck there for like three hours. BFF came home from shopping and found them. She handcuffed him to one of the pipes and Sprinkles guarded him until police came to pick him up.
Good ol' Sprinkles.

Not pertinent to anything in particular but I do think it's kinda weird that we keep depicting cavemen in media crawling around on all fours covered in dirt with tangled, matted hair, speaking in broken, cobbled-together toddler language when like.
They were us.
Like literally genetically they were US, just like. A while ago.

Would you trust a TV caveman with a baby? Probably not
A real life caveman though??? I think they'd be at least okay at it

Sleep occupies a third of our life. It is the consolation to the woes of our days or the woe of their pleasures; but I have never found that sleep was a rest. After a swoon of a few minutes a new life begins, freed from conditions of time and space, and doubtless like the life which awaits us after death. Who knows whether there does not exist a link between these two existences, and whether it is not possible for the soul now to bind them together?
— Gérard de Nerval, Aurélia
