Autistic Charles (Charlie) Calvin headcanons!

Charles’ hyperfixations can vary, but his biggest one is helicopters, gizmos and gadgets! He’s great with technology, although he doesn’t always use it wisely; and flying helicopters? Well... he’s great! Most of the time, he can go on about helicopters and technology for hours.

Charles can get pretty upset when things don’t go to plan/how they should, he has trouble changing schedules.

Charles is sensitive to loud noises, and he loves helicopters, but it can get really noisy in there which bothers him! So his headphones are noise cancelling, which dims out the loud noises inside the helicopter.

Charles stims in many ways, but his most noteable is fidgeting with buttons and levers; which could be problematic in a helicopter, so Henry and Ellie got him a fidget cube, which he loves! His other stims include:

Hand flapping.

Listening to music.

Singing/humming.

Clicking the little mic thingy on his headphones, he likes the clicking noise and it’s fun to fidget with.
