hey all !  this isn’t an easy post to make, but it’s time for it. after spending some time thinking and talking, we have decided to close hillston.  this is by no means due to anything happening in the rp or because of our lovely members. i ( admin jord ) have simply lost the passion i once had when opening the group. it wouldn’t be fair on anyone to keep it going if i can’t give it my all, and it’s for that reason that we feel it’s best to shut it down. this isn’t a sad post, though. roleplays aren’t made to last forever and we’ve had a lot of really fun times and met some great people in the three months we’ve been writing here. thank you all for helping us bring a vision to life and being the reason this rp got off the ground and took on a life of it’s own in the first place.

hey, anon ! i’m not sure where you read that information, but no, not all adopted children need to be poc. if you check our family list you will see that we actually have white adopted children already.

how would you describe the town life of hillston?

i said to a friend when i first started creating it that i imagined it kind of as a combination of gossip girl and desperate housewives, but not as problematic. all the families (unless they’ve recently moved here) exist with in the same social circle and a lot of them have grown up knowing each other forever. it’s kind of a running theme with hillston that most people who live there tend not to leave, and the parents encourage their kids to stick around. it’s a kind of town where the people are always at the country club, always at a luncheon followed by a white party followed by an after party. everybody is always in each other’s business, and that’s why there is a certain amount of pressure to appear perfect in order to avoid scandal.
