Summary: Badboyhalo attempts to tickle Skeppy, only to find he's not ticklish. Bad desparetly tries to test spots, Skeppy is beginning to feel very confident before Bad stumbles upon an adorable spot while cuddling...
_____________________________________________________________________________
Skeppy sat on Tommy and Tubbo's bench, reading a book and keeping the nervous thought in the back of his mind that Tommy might see him and shoo him away from the spot. It wasn't Skeppy's fault that Tommy and Tubbo's bench was the spot with the prettiest view. Skeppy sighed happily as he physically lost a lot of the tension in his body, turning a page in his book. He heard quiet footsteps behind him suddenly, and he immediately tensed before hearing a familiar sly giggle and he smiled fondly before relaxing again to let his best friend, Bad, have his fun.
"I gotcha!" Bad exclaimed before placing his hands on Skeppy's sides and tasering them.
Skeppy gave Bad a lazy smile, "Hi Bad." he answered fondly.
"Wait- Why aren't you laughing?" Bad asked, obviously dissapointed that Skeppy wasn't giggling.
Skeppy rasied a brow without looking up from his book, "Hm?" he hummed.
Bad huffed before sitting down at the bench next to Skeppy and crossing his arms, "Nevermind..." he muttered.
Skeppy laughed at the display before setting his book down to give Bad his full attention which always brightened Bad's mood.
"Did you try to tickle me?" Skeppy smirked.
"Yeah!!" Bad yelled with false anger.
"I think you'll find that I'm not ticklish." Skeppy explained calmly with a proud smile on his face.
Bad narrowed his eyes, "No way thats true, you're a dishonest muffin, y'know that Geppy?"  Bad declared.
Skeppy seemed appauled by the very idea that he was lying, "I am not!" Skeppy insisted.
Bad scoffed, "Prove it then."
Skeppy, very confident in his unticklishness, stood up and held out his arms, "Go ahead, TRY to tickle me!" he put emphisis on the word 'try'.
Bad stood up with enthusiasim, "You'll regret letting me try because DreamXD know's you're ticklish!"
Bad dug his fingers into Skeppy's armpit's, expecting a ticklish scream but met with a blank face. Skeppy didn't even bat an eye. Bad's eyes widened before scrunching up his face, this reaction only feeding his desire to prove Skeppy wrong. Bad started to kneed his fingers into Skeppy's stomach, becoming desperate when he didn't even feel a change in Skeppy's breathing.
"No, forget this I'm trying your feet." Bad grumbled, upset that nearly every spot he knew of wasn't even making Skeppy crack a smile.
Skeppy laughed, "Your really getting that desparate?"
Bad made an unamused face at Skeppy, causing Skeppy to role his eyes fondly, "Fine, fine, I'll let you try my feet but only to humor me at your pathetic attempts." Skeppy mocked Bad while putting on a snoody accent, aware at how cocky he was presenting.
Skeppy took off his socks and shoes, right there in the middle of the server just so Bad could tickle Skeppy and proceed to fail miserably.
Bad sat on the bench, deep in though as Skeppy put his socks and shoes back on. Skeppy looked up at Bad from his place on the grassy floor, his proud smile fell a bit when he saw the dissapointed look on Bad's face.
Skeppy joined Bad on the bench awkwardly and the two sat in silence until Bad finally spoke up, "Can we cuddle?" he asked with pleading eyes.
Skeppy smiled, rolling his eyes fondly as he spoke, "Awe, alright.."
He joined Bad on the left side of the bench and Bad wrapped his arms around Bad. Skeppy closed his eyes in contentment before his eyes flew open when he felt a strange...tingling feeling on his palms.
He absolutely loved the feeling, but still couldn't help but squirm. Bad raised a brow at Skeppy, unsure if he was hurting Skeppy, but smiled when he heard giggles pouring out of Skeppy.
"Ehehehhhe- wh-whahhahat ahare you dohoing?!" Skeppy whinned through his giggling.
"You're ticklish! Oh my goodness, you're ticklish!" Bad celebrated as he gripped Skeppy's wrist softly, and traced the lines of Skeppy's palm with his other hand which caused Skeppy to squirm even more.
"Nahahat t-tihihcklish, nohahat tihickl- AAAIHIHEHEHEEHE!" Skeppy squealed, erupting into uncontrollable high pitched laughter as Bad gently ran his claws(which were thankfully to dull to hurt) down Skeppy's forarm.
"Aww...Skeppyy!...This is such a cute tickle spot!" Bad coo'ed, his voice going higher in pitch as he spoke words of endearment.
Skeppy gave up squirming and just melted into Bad's side, at this Bad felt his heart warm up, he decided to let up on Skeppy's forarm and started to draw on the back of Skeppy's hand with a single claw. Skeppy slowly gained his energy back, squirming lightly as little titters spilled from him.
"Alright, I think I've given you enough of a break." Bad announced teasily with adoration laced in his tone.
Bad hummed hard over what to do next before leaning down to Skeppy's ear, his voice barely above a whisper, "Tickle tickle, geppy.."
Skeppy's laughter immediately picked up again, he scrunched up his shoulders out of pure instinct as he burried his flustered face into Bad's shoulder.
Bad only laughed, " 'I'm not ticklish', he says." Bad teased lightheartedly.
Skeppy's laugh became desperate and Bad knew he'd have to stop soon, but he decided to end it with a bang. Bad started to run his claws up and down both of Skeppy's forarms, pairing the motion with him nuzzling into Skeppy's neck.
"Hihihieheh- *snk* kAHAhAahA!!"
Bad decended into laughter as well, "Did you just snort?" he giggled.
"Yehess! Stohohop.." Skeppy whinned through his laughter. Bad smiled at the endearing sight.
"Awww, alright I'll stop." Bad's tone was filled with adoration for his giggly best friend as he rubbed away the ghost tickles on Skeppy's forarms.
Skeppy continued to giggle even then, amusing Bad to no end.
"How in the world can a muffin be so darn giggly!?" Bad teased playfully, only making Skeppy giggle more.
Eventually Skeppy calmed himself down, although once he was brought back to reality he was even more sensitive to teasing...
"That was adorable by the way." Bad mentioned smugly.
Skeppy blushed and rolled his eyes, "Oh hush.."

EHEHWBAHAGAHSSBWB IM HAPPY STIMMING<3333 THIS IS SO CUTE
Warm and Tickly
Skeppy is very hesitant about BadBoyHalo's new obsession with this Egg. Something about it doesn't sit right with him but Bad wants to show Skeppy the Egg is nothing to fear. In fact, it can be very friendly.
Warning: This fic has HEAVY implications of mind control and possession (standard Egg stuff)
After finding the clip of Philza calling the vines "warm and tickly", this idea wouldn't leave my head that the vines use tickly persuasion to possess people. After bouncing ideas with Llama, this fic was born.
---
“Skeppy! Keep up!”
“I’m right behind you, Bad!”
The demon and diamond warrior were making there way through the cave system to the Egg, Bad leading in front. While Skeppy was hesitant to go anywhere near that thing, Bad had been excitedly pestering and teasing him that he had a surprise to show. Eventually Skeppy gave in, being too caught up in the demon’s excitement. He set aside his worry and followed his friend.
The lair of the Egg was, as usual, suffocatingly warm. Heat was never usually a bother for Skeppy with his diamond skin. Even when his shell melted away he had built up some resistance to it, but the heat from the Egg was different. Unnatural.
Skeppy tried not to dwell on his thoughts. The Egg was defiantly trouble but he was here for Bad, not that…thing. He felt a small moment of relief when Bad lead him to the main room and he was walking away from the direction of the Egg. He walked to the opposite end of the room, in the furthest corner.
Skeppy could see something there, but he couldn’t quite make it out. From a distance it was just a mass of red but as he got closer, he realised that was exactly what it was.
It was like a clump of red ropes all piled together in the corner. Skeppy could see they were coming out of the surrounding tiles of the wall and floor and realised they were vines. Pale red vines.
“What do you think?!” Bad asked excitedly.
“It’s…what am I even looking at?” Skeppy blinked. He had a lot of ideas for what Bad wanted to show him, but he never thought of this.
“It’s vines, Skeppy!” Bad’s voice sounded the slightest bit hurt that Skeppy didn’t seem to be as excited. He stepped forward to the mass of vines, reaching his hand over a clump of them. “They came from the Egg.”
“The Egg is growing vines?” Skeppy asked. A drop of worry fell in his chest, rippling through him. He felt a little more uneasy. Even more so when he saw one of the vines under Bad’s hand uncoil from it’s mass and slowly move up to touch the grey hand. “Those things move?!”
“They’re alive! Isn’t that amazing?” Bad turned back to his friend, his smile dropping to concern when he saw Skeppy’s uneasy expression. “Oh don’t worry Skeppy, they’re not dangerous.”
Bad pulled away from the vine slowly curling around his wrist. It fell, slowly but with it starting to move some of the other vines did too. Skeppy could see them shifting and rearranging like snakes waking up from their den.
“They’re safe, Skeppy. I promise. Look! Touch them! They feel soft.” Bad extended his hand, a clear invitation for Skeppy and despite the diamond’s hesitance, he reached out.
Skeppy trusted Bad. They might have teased each other a few times but they’d never actually put each other in danger. He didn’t understand Bad’s adoration for that Egg but Bad was his friend and his friend wouldn’t lead him into something he didn’t want. Skeppy repeated these things to himself as he reached his hand out.
Bad gently took Skeppy’s hand, smiling softly in reassurance and let him over to the vines again. The pale red tendrils had mostly uncurled from their lump, stretching out over the stone floor but a few still remained coiled up in the centre. Standing so close to them, Skeppy felt a warmth radiating from the vines. It was nothing like the heat of the lava around them, or the radiation from the actual Egg. The vine’s heat was strangely soothing; like the warmth of a fireplace in a cosy cabin.
Bad repositioned his hand to Skeppy’s wrist, moving his hand out to touch over the vine. Skeppy tensed when he felt it touch onto his skin. It was rare he’d ever let his diamond exterior down but around Bad it became common. He resisted the urge to bring up his diamond shell and his skin finally made contact to the vine.
It…wasn’t bad.
Bad must have felt the tension ease in Skeppy because he smiled. “Feels nice right?”
“It…yeah, actually.” Skeppy agreed. Bad slowly let him go and he didn’t pull back. Instead he pet over the vine.
It didn’t feel like the vines from the jungles or swamps. The red vines had a softer, plusher feel.
“It’s different.” Skeppy’s turned his hand, brushing his knuckles along the plant. “It’s like…felt almost.”
“Yeah! Aren’t they cosy?”
They were cosy. The warmth from them spread over Skeppy’s skin, soothing him and making him relax. He still felt the slightest bit on edge as more of the vines started to move. They were rearranging themselves into some sort of shape and yet despite Skeppy’s unease, he had to fight against his body’s want to just lay down in the vines.
“How long has the Egg been growing these?” Skeppy asked, trying to keep his mind focused. The vine under his hand had started to coil around his wrist. It wasn’t holding him tightly and when Skeppy moved away the vine kept slipping off, but it would worm it’s way back, trying to keep in contact to Skeppy at all times.
“I think about a month ago I noticed them. But then in a few days they were sprouting all around the cave.”
Where they?
Skeppy turned to look around and realised that, yes, the vines were sprouting. The Egg was thankfully in the distance but Skeppy could see the small, almost nest like shape around it’s base. The ceiling and walls were covered in a few stray vines growing, but there was never a clump of them like the ones in front of Skeppy and Bad.
“I think they might start to grow up on the surface.” Bad’s voice pitched with excitement.
“Is that a good thing?” Skeppy gave a look over to Bad. The vine around his wrist tightened a little but not to an uncomfortable level. It was like a reassuring squeeze every once in a while and when Skeppy pulled back the vine uncurled slightly. Never letting him go but giving him space to move.
“Why wouldn’t it be? They’re harmless, and nice!”
Skeppy opened his mouth to respond, but a squeak came out instead. He looked back to the vine on his wrist to see there were two now. The one around his wrist curled into his palm while the other was tracing it’s tip around the sleeve of Skeppy’s hoodie. The one over his hand traced along his palm lines, and brushed under his fingers. Skeppy giggled.
“Aww, they like you.” Bad beamed.
“It’s…i-ihitchy.” Skeppy tried to muffle the giggles threatening to spill from his lips. He tried to step away, realising his legs didn’t have much room to move. Some of the other vines had repositioned themselves around Skeppy and Bad’s legs. They never wrapped around the two but they took up too much space on the floor so they couldn’t move without having to step on the vines. Skeppy was a little bit concerned when the thought of that upset him.
“Aww they really like you!” Bad cooed. His hands squeezed over Skeppy’s shoulders, making Skeppy hunch his shoulders a little and another wave of giggles bubble in his chest. Between the heat from the vines and the comforting weight of Bad’s hands over him, Skeppy started to feel cloudy. The feeling he’d get sometimes just before he fell asleep.
“They’re nihice…” Skeppy pulled on his arm, feeling it move slower than he expected.
“And they’re so comfy too. Look!” Bad’s hand left Skeppy’s shoulder and Skeppy denied he missed the feeling. The vines had moved as if responding to Bad’s words, coiling together to make a small, almost nest-like spot. Bad sat down over the nest, shuffling over to one side and leaning back slightly as the vines close to him shifted to cosy around him. “See? Comfy!”
It did look comfy. It looked so warm and inviting and by the time Skeppy had the thought to join in beside Bad, he was already sat down beside the demon, pulled and led by the vines around his wrists.
Huh. When did they wrap around his other wrist? Oh well. It seemed hardly important when the vines shifted around him, wrapping around his waist and draping over his shoulders like a comforting hug.
“Do you like them, Skeppy?” Bad’s voice pulled him from his trance. Every other sound seemed almost muted. The bubble of the lava, the sound of the rain above. It was all muffled, but Bad’s voice came in so clear.
“They’re…not bad.” Skeppy had to admit. His hand had, absent-mindedly of course, laid over the vine around his stomach and pet over it.
“Right?! They’re like little warm hugs for you!”
Bad almost sounded proud while he was talking about them. A detail Skeppy would normally notice and point out, with either mock or concern, but his mind felt too fuzzy.
The vines were warm and cosy around him. One wrapped around his shoulders, almost offering him to lean his head over them. He didn’t even notice the vines pulling him back a little so he was lounging over them until he noticed Bad was sitting up straighter than him.
Skeppy opened his mouth to say something. What he was going to say he had no idea, and it never really mattered when his words were halted with a small squeak.
The second vine around his wrist had slipped under his sleeve.
“B-Bahad.” Skeppy squeaked again. A smile tugged at his lips as the vine under his sleeve curled around his arm. It traced up on the underside of his forearm, tickling along the bend of his elbow while the vine over his palm had wrapped around and tickled the spot between his fingers. “Bahahahahad!”
“Aw, is it tickling you, Skeppy?”  Bad cooed. “Look how giggly you are!”
“Ihihi’m nohohot!” The point was completely ruined when he giggled out his words. He was too focused on the tickling over his arm and palms that he didn’t notice the vine around his waist had slipped under his hoodie and coiling up his torso. He only noticed when felt-like vines brushed along his sides, snaking around to wriggle along his back.
If Skeppy wasn’t giggling before, he certainly was now. He tried wriggling his sides, throwing off the vines but his wriggling was barely more than light squirming. The warmth of the vines made his body soft and heavy. He was like putty, easily moulded however the vines wanted him. His arms were slowly stretched up, pulled to have his hands by his head and giving the vines more spots to tickle.
“B-Bahahad! Stohop thehem!”
“They’re just playing, Skeppy.” Bad kept his voice soft.
“Thehehehey’re--EEP!!!”
One of the vines stretched up, getting right in his armpit and wriggling it’s stupidly fluffy tendril right into the hollow.
“Thehehehey’re tihihihickling mehehehe!”
“They’re just trying to get to know you better, Skeppy!” Bad defended the vines, though they really didn’t need anyone to speak for them. The tip of a vine traced a lazy circle over Skeppy’s stomach while a few were counting up his ribs and wiggling on the space between the bones.
When had so many of them crawled under his hoodie?
“Bahahad!” Skeppy pleaded between his titters. “Hehehelp!”
“Oh, sure!”
Skeppy could feel the vines shuffle as Bad moved.  Just as Skeppy was trying to wriggle away from the vines curiously joining the other playing in his armpit, he felt a flick over his ear and then his neck. A soft fluttering feeling danced down his neck and tickled over his collarbones. It didn’t have the same feeling as the vines. Not as soft, but definitely still as tickly.
Skeppy giggled, trying to angle his head to see what new tickling menace had came to assist the vines and saw it was a black tail. A very familiar black tail. It traced around his collarbones before fluttering back up his neck.
“Bahahahad!” Skeppy squeaked. His demon friend was grinning down at him. Bad had moved to kneel by Skeppy, somehow moving Skeppy’s head into his lap without his diamond friend even realising. A playful look dancing in his eyes as he flicked his tail over the front of Skeppy’s neck. “Hehehelp mehehe! Nohohot the vihihihines!”
“Oh, I’m sorry Skeppy!” Bad gasped. A completely fake gasp. “I thought you wanted more tickles!”
“Nohoho!”
“You sure?”
Bad moved the point of his tail to trace up the side of Skeppy neck. The ravenette tried to scrunch his neck and dislodge the tail from it’s path, but it flicked up to his jaw and Skeppy was done.
The back of Skeppy’s jaw, just under his ears, were permanently coated in their diamond shell. Even when the rest of his body would relax to skin, the parts at his jaw remained in their shiny coating. It never bothered Skeppy, until he discovered how weirdly sensitive the diamond spot was. Bad could brush his thumb over it, or even breathe on it, and it sent goosebumps all over Skeppy’s skin and shivers up his spin.
Ironic the diamond coating was meant to protect him, and yet he was rendered so helpless with one little trace of a demon’s tail.
The flick over the specific spot on his jaw melted Skeppy into the vine’s hold. Some of them seemed to notice the response, slithering up to join Bad’s tail. They traced around his jaw, flicking over the diamond coating and brushed along under his chin.
Skeppy was done for. He could barely stand his melt spot getting the slightest of touches, but now it was receiving constant attention, turning Skeppy into a puddle and helpless for the other vines tickling over his torso.
One of the vines found his bellybutton, tracing around the edges and Skeppy’s laugh hiccuped into light cackling.
“B-Bahahahad!” He pleaded, shaking his head to try and dislodge the constantly attention.
“Look how red your face is, Skeppy.” Bad cooed, ignoring the pleas. “Aww you’re blushing so much! It’s so cute!”
“S-Stohop teheheasing!”
“Aww, but you love being teased Geppy.” Bad’s voice purred. The demon grinned when the blush over Skeppy’s face deepened red, and his ears turned pink.
“D-Dohohon’t!”
“Don’t what, Geppy?”
“D-Dohon’t cahahall mehe thahat!”
“What? Call you Geppy?” Bad purred again. “But you are a little Giggly Geppy. Oh, have the vines found your worst spot yet?”
“B-Bahahahad! N-Nohohoho!” Skeppy pulled at his arms, but he barely moved. He could barely move his body at all. It was like all his limbs were moving through jelly. Heavy and slow. He could barely shake his head, uselessly attempting to dislodge the vines there as he tried to curl his legs.
“Are you imagining how it would feel? Those curious little vines running and tickling all long the back of your knees?”
“BAHAHAHAD!!!”
The vines moved with a sudden mission. He felt some of the vines under his back move and uncurl. Skeppy could just see two vines at the corner of his vision, yet whenever he tried to focus on it the vines swiped over the diamond spot on his jaw, forcing his head to shake and he lost focus.
The vines wrapped around just above his knee before they coiled around to the backs. The vine under his left knee gave an experimental poke.
Skeppy was given one burst of energy, coursing through his body to let him arch his back, and then all at once the energy flowed out of him again as he felt back into the vine’s tickly clutches. With this new information to use, the vines wrapped around his knees, squeezing over the tops and tracing softly around the back. Even with the protection of his clothes, it still tickled like mad and a stream of giggles flowed out of his mouth.
“O-Ohohohoh gohohohohod! I-Ihihihit tihihihihickles sohohoho muhuhuch!”
“It does…” Bad cooed. His hand stroked over Skeppy’s dark hair. “Don’t worry, Skeppy. They’ll stop soon.”
“Mahahake thehehem stohohop nohohohow!” Skeppy giggled, squealing up to a laugh as the vines in his armpits tickled softer, making the tickling over his knees that much worse.
“Isn’t it warm, though? Like a nice, tickly hug. You love it when I give you those~”
It was warm and it was nice and admitting it to himself was somehow more flustering than admitting it out loud. The warmth of the vines was different from the near suffocating heat of the room. It was cosy and made him sensitive and sleepy. His mind was clouded. He could barely think.
He couldn’t even hear the whispering when it started.
It wasn’t completely obvious at first. It started with just a hushed sound in the back of Skeppy’s mind, hidden by his own laughter. When he realised it was there he tried to focus on it and make out whatever it said. Though whenever he thought he could hear something the vines would poke behind his knee, or swipe over the diamond part of his jaw and he was lost again to the tickling.
It couldn’t be a bad thing, could it? Whatever the whispering was it didn’t sound harmful. It was almost tickly, like a feather brushing along his brain and lighting up his nerves.
It felt good, and warm, and…safe. The vines felt safe.
The vine teasing around his bellybutton dipped in, making Skeppy squeal as the whispering grew louder. He still couldn’t make out what it said. It didn’t even sound like words it was more like it was whispering feelings right into his brain.
Safe… Warm… Loving…
“B-Bahahad!” Skeppy’s giggling became weaker, his words slurring more like he was being lulled to sleep. He tried to hunch his shoulders and rub his ear as though it would rid himself of the whispering tickles.
“What is it Skeppy?” Bad caressed his hand down Skeppy’s cheek.
“Th-Thehere’s…s-sohohomethihihing…” Skeppy’s last unclouded though tried to surface, tried to realise something wasn’t right but it was hard to stay afloat. The vines kept tickling his thoughts away, skittering along the back of his knees and shutting down any resistance.
“Don’t worry Skeppy.” Bad’s voice was nearly a whisper, almost matching the whispering in his head. Was it Bad whispering to him before? “It’s not bad, is it?” He continued. “The tickling vines feel good right?”
“Th-Thehe…hehehe…”
“You love getting tickly cuddles.” Bad cooed. “The vines are just like that, aren’t they? They’re warm and tickly. They want you to feel safe, just like I do. They want to give you attention, like I do.”
Bad scratched over the diamond spot at Skeppy’s jaw, sending soft shocks through his body. Instead of trying to pull away again as he had before, Skeppy leaned into the feeling, brushing his cheek up against Bad’s hand.
“Aww, Skeppy~” Bad giggled.
“F-Fehehehels n-nihihihice…” Skeppy tittered out. “Wahahaharm.”
“You like them!” Bad’s tail wagged with his joy. It had stopped tickling Skeppy when the vines had taken over. “Aw, Skeppy, the vines like you too…”
They did like him, because the vines were safe, warm and loving. They made Skeppy feel safe, warm and loving. The whispering was just reassuring him, reminding him that he was safe and warm.
And loved.
The vines slowly stopped their tickling. Bad watched as they pulled away, uncurling from Skeppy’s arms and stomach. Skeppy let out a few leftover giggles, curling up more into Bad’s lap. The demon cooed, giving a small sympathetic thought as he rubbed over Skeppy’s back and soothed out the ghostly tickles. It wasn’t too long ago that Bad had been at the playful mercy of those vines too.
“Feeling okay?” Bad asked.
Skeppy nodded. His body still felt heavy but he had an easier time moving it now, slowly pushing himself to sit up.
The vines around the two had practically stilled. The ones over Skeppy had completely pulled away, tangling themselves back into the nest.
Skeppy stretched when he sat up, suddenly feeling renewed energy through him like he’d just woken up from a good long sleep.
“Do you want to go get some food?” Bad offered. He had stood up, stretching himself as well and offered a hand for Skeppy. “I think the rain has stopped.”
Skeppy nodded, taking the demon’s hand and letting himself be pulled up. “I’m starving, actually.”
Bad smiled, growing into a grin as he saw the small red outline around Skeppy’s brown eyes.
“What’s got you smiling?” Skeppy asked, raising his eyebrow as he made his way to the exit of the cave. “You’re weird…” He chuckled.
“I’m just happy you had a good time.” Bad shrugged, following Skeppy out the cave.
A part of the demon felt bad for leading Skeppy to the vines but he shook that feeling off. This was good for Skeppy. He’d be safe and protected under the Egg’s influence. This was a good thing. This was the right thing to do.
The Egg whispered reassurance to him that it was.

this is what i NEEDED.
My techniques for overcoming a nasty writer’s block:
1. Set a word target for the day: 200 words, 500 words, 1000 words and type until you reach the target (500 is my go to). Write, write, just write. Even if it sounds like bullshit, just write!
2. Repeat these 2 mantras: “Anything is better than nothing” and “It’s always better to have something to edit, than a blank page”. I repeat these often.
3. Read through what you’ve written for the chapter so far, instead of trying to start from where you left off. Even if you make a single edit to your existing draft — it’s progress. And reading through what you’ve written gets you in the flow of the story and can carry you forward from where you left off.
4. Read your draft aloud! I can’t recommend this enough — I ALWAYS do this. Read it with emotion, with fervour, like you’re on stage. Think of authors who gathered their friends in one room and read out their writing to them. Imagine that! Plus this technique also helps me make the best edits, as you catch things that you wouldn’t normally through silent reading and you also catch parts that don’t flow well.
5. If you’re stuck in a scene or can’t figure out a character’s reaction to a situation, talk to yourself. Literally discuss with yourself how this scene should go in your opinion. Trust me, you know the right answer if you just explore it with yourself first. Ask yourself questions: so what would you feel if you were in this character’s place? So what would happen next? I swear by this technique. Satoru’s feelings in Infidelity are sometimes hard for me to navigate, so I ask myself such questions when needed.
6. Find music that fits your scene. For intense, thriller-like themes I recommend Trent Reznor’s OSTs, for example. Change the music to fit every scene.
7. Another surefire technique of mine is walking. I get my best ideas when I’m taking walks. Even more amazing if you put the music that fits your scene on your phone and go walking outside. I usually walk in the mornings so I tell myself: “Today I’m gonna figure out this specific scene” and sure enough, during my walk, it all comes to me and I quickly jot the ideas down on my phone.
8. READ BOOKS - I will say this a million times if I have to! Reading books forms new neural connections in your brain — neural connections are like a bank of resources that your brain reaches for when it encounters a situation relevant to what you have stored. In more practical terms, reading books relaxes my own writing style by showing my brain what’s possible. So my brain basically goes, “Oh! So this is possible, then we don’t need to scrutinise and restrict our own writing so much!” My writing always suffers if I haven’t been reading any books. If you’re lazy and have shit for willpower like me, turn your reading into a system, i.e. decide which books you’re going to read this month, divide the pages up by the days in the month, and read your daily page quotas. Essentially, remove the element of choice. If you have to choose to do it, it burdens your willpower (proven). I don’t even choose my books for the month, I have a system in place that tells me which books I have to read this month — I removed the element of choice from this part too.
9. Learn new vocabulary on the daily. I always judge my own vocabulary and acutely sense it when my vocabulary is limited. When you’re reading books, you’ll inevitably run into words you don’t know. Look up their meaning at the time and jot them down (I do it in my Notes app). Those words will eventually accumulate, as they did for me, and I start from one end and take 5 words and learn those 5 words until the end of the day. Then I form sentences with those 5 words to memorise them better. Then the next 5 words the next day and keep going like that... I even set my 5 words for the day as my lockscreen so that I keep seeing them throughout the day. In my Notes app, I separate the words I’ve learned this way from the ones I still have to learn. So I can always go back to my list of learned words and find what I need. It also really helps to write a word or two of association in brackets next to the word, for example: preponderance (of fuckboys on dating sites), decanter (wine), quintessence (Satoru is the quintessence of humility), bandwidth (not wifi) etc.
10. A glass of wine or other mild alcohol can help loosen your writing brain from other stressors — BUT this is not sustainable and can’t be done on a regular basis. Don’t rely on this too much.
11. Take a few days’ break. Our brain has this proven ability where if you give it a task or a problem that you really care about, it will continue working on solving that problem in the background without you even consciously thinking about that problem anymore. If I’m stuck in a scene, I think intensely about it once and then step back. My brain now received the problem it needs to solve. A day or two later, my brain gives me the solution.
12. When I’m eating, instead of watching something, I tend to open my work in front of me and silently look through random parts of the draft. I’ve made many small but important edits this way and regained my interest in my own work.
13. Almost forgot — roleplay with yourself! Plant yourself in the situation and explore your own realistic reactions to the situation, or to what the other character said. Let me tell you, this is wacko energy, but I literally break down crying and even give myself anxiety while roleplaying some of my own scenes in Infidelity. This helps with moving a dialogue forward in a realistic way and also with exploring emotions that would arise in intense situations.
14. Again almost forgot literally my holy grail technique 🤦🏻‍♀️ — PLANNING. Now this one isn’t for every writer, as some writers need to feel the creative freedom where they just sit down and start typing, allowing the story to take them in any direction. Other writers (like me) have to thoroughly plan out the story. These days I won’t even start a story if I don’t know how it ends. And before writing each chapter, I have a detailed plan ready. For example, chapter 12 of Infidelity was super hard for me because it was extremely emotionally charged. So I spent a lot of time meticulously planning the chapter, scene by scene, and only then was able to write it. I do this with every chapter, so if anyone really wants it, I can show them my plan of a chapter after it is published (though you might become disillusioned with my writing if you see the sloppy plan on which it originates). Now don’t get me wrong, even though you plan like this, there’s still room for spontaneous scenes — of which there are many in Infidelity! There’s even one chapter that wasn’t in the original plan and it came about at the very fucking last minute (but I won’t tell you which chapter, as you might hate me if you know). Try planning your chapter/scenes — if it helps, great. If it stifles your writing further, ditch it.
15. Write for yourself! I know this is hard for people who write based on requests but even with requests - make it perfect for yourself. Getting stuck in the thoughts of what would please your readers can feel depressing and uninspiring, and it can make you forget why you started writing in the first place. Focusing solely on what would please your readers can restrict you from exploring your true strengths and that unique literary style you may possess. Some people are strong at creating fantasy worlds, others are best at writing witty dialogues, yet others are more interested in exploring emotional twists and hardships of characters etc. Explore what’s yours! I’m beyond happy and grateful that Infidelity has garnered so much attention and readership, but trust me, I still write it for myself. If it doesn’t sound good to me, then there’s no point. Make your work please you, make your work satisfy you, make your work your own favourite! You should be the biggest fan of your own work!
I hope this helps my writers in some way and I’d be happy to elaborate on any of the above or on any other writing-related things. I truly believe in writers supporting and inspiring each other ❤️

---
Sapnap had come home from his visit to Karl's house a few hours ago, and as much as Dream was happy that he could go, he really did miss his friend while he was gone. The two of them had hugged when Sapnap walked in, and then agreed to have a movie night after Sapnap took some time to unpack and get settled in. Dream was sitting at his desk getting some work done in the meantime, leg bouncing absent-mindedly and hoodie string between his teeth as he answered some emails and messages. He jerked his head to the side at the sound of a knock at his door, dropping the hoodie string and softly yelling out "come in!" before his door was being pushed open.
"I have a surprise for you," Sapnap said, grinning widely as he held one hand behind his back and used the other to push the door closed behind him. Dream tilted his head in curiosity.
"Should I be worried?"
"No! No, not at all," Sapnap jumped to defend himself almost immediately, which didn't serve to make Dream any less suspicious, but he played along anyway. "Here, c'mere," Sapnap stepped forward until he was in front of Dream's desk chair where he was sitting, reaching his unoccupied hand out for Dream to grab onto.
"I feel like I should be worried," Dream muttered, even more suspicious than before due to the build-up, but he and Sapnap both knew he was just messing around. He grabbed Sapnap's extended hand, standing up and letting his friend guide him.
"You'll be fine, just relax and follow my lead. You'll like this." Sapnap coaxed him over to his own bed, dropping his hand and reaching up to maneuver his shoulders so he was standing straight. "Sit," He pushed on Dream's shoulder so he'd get the message. Dream followed the order, confusion and suspicion more obvious in his face now as he looked up at Sapnap. "Now close your eyes and put your hands out in front of you."
"This feels weird, Sap, I don't like this-"
"Just trust me, okay?" Sapnap pressed with a light shake to Dream's shoulder. "I promise it'll be good." Dream sighed, doing what Sapnap asked and cupping his hands out in front of him. His eyes closed tightly as he chuckled in anticipation.
"I feel stupid."
"Good," Sapnap responded, earning a laugh from his friend.
They were both silent for a moment, until Dream felt two hands grab onto his sides and start squeezing.
"AH, FUCK! Wh-whahaat the hehehell!" Dream yelled out in shock as his eyes shot open, unable to hold in his giggles due to being caught so off guard. He immediately latched onto Sapnap's wrists, trying to pull him off, but Sapnap quickly tackled him back onto the bed and straddled his waist, grabbing Dream's hands and pinning them underneath his knees. Dream was still giggling, both residual from the tickling and now from the knowledge of what his 'surprise' was about to be.
"Sahapnahap, what- what is…" Dream managed through his giggles, pulling at his hands to find them completely stuck under Sapnap's knees. He squirmed side to side as much as he could, giggling louder and dropping his head against the bed when he found that he wasn't getting anywhere. His face flushed in embarrassment and his legs curled up as much as possible until they hit Sapnap's back.
"Dream, let me paint you a picture," Sapnap began, resting his hands flat against Dream's tummy, smirking as he felt the muscles tense underneath his palms and heard his friend's high pitched giggles of anticipation. "Your birthday was last week, as I'm sure you remember, and even though you insisted that it was fine for me to go see Karl— which was very sweet of you, by the way, and thank you again for that— I still felt bad about missing it. I mean, we've been friends for how many years? And this would've been the first time we got to spend one of your birthdays together in person!"
"Ihihi tohold you ihit wasn't a big deheheal," Dream giggled out with a roll of his eyes, finally looking up at Sapnap again as he placed his hand more firmly in the middle of Dream's ribs over his hoodie.
"And I know you meant it, I really do! But it doesn't change the fact that I wanna make it up to you. So, after I told Karl about this idea, we started brainstorming for a while about what the perfect way to do that was, because you deserve nothing short of perfect, mister," Sapnap emphasized his words by saying them in an exaggerated baby voice and tapping the tip of Dream's nose throughout. Dream giggled again and scrunched up his face, turning away from the offending finger.
"Stohop! You're so duhumb," Dream said with a squeaky inhale, closing his eyes to will away some of the redness in his cheeks.
"So, anyway, we were brainstorming ideas, and Karl– the absolute genius he is– came up with the perfect solution!" Sapnap said with a wide smile, moving his hands so his fingers rested right on Dream's ribs. The man in question tensed again, biting his lip to hold down giggles that flowed out anyway.
"Y-yeah? And whahahat's thahat?" Dream asked even though he already knew the answer, heart racing as he stared down at Sapnap's hands.
"Well, silly, it's obvious! I'm shocked I didn't think of it. Birthday tickles!" Sapnap said as he let his thumbs drill into Dream's bottom ribs, giggling to himself at the strangled squeaky noise Dream made in response as he arched his back.
"NO!" Dream practically yelped out before bursting onto bubbly laughter, squeezing his eyes shut again. Sapnap couldn't help but laugh at his friend's reaction, which only served to make Dream's face get even redder. Dream felt Sapnap's thumbs stop drilling his ribs, and instead they rested against them again. He breathed heavily, already winded from his anticipatory giggling and the single press to his ribs.
"Alright, birthday boy, here's the plan. You're 22 now, so I think that means I get to tickle you for 22 minutes!" Dream looked up at him with wide eyes, letting out a small gasp.
"What?! No, no! That's- I can't- that's way too long I- Sapnap, please," Dream knew he wouldn't be able to last that long, but he also knew that Sapnap would never take it that far if Dream genuinely couldn't handle it. The threat was still enough to make Dream's stomach drop like he was on a roller coaster, though.
"Sorry, Dreamie, I don't make the rules, I just follow them. But I do know who you can talk to if you're concerned about those rules…" Sapnap trailed off, using his thumbs that were still resting on Dream's ribs to start rubbing circles into the bones. Dream began giggling again at this, unable to look away from Sapnap's fingers.
"Whoho- uh- who ihis thahat?"
"It's…" Sapnap's hands suddenly formed into claws that hovered above Dream's ribs, and he smiled as he heard Dream's gasp followed by him giggling and sucking in his stomach on reflex and laying as still as possible. Sapnap waited a moment longer, reveling in Dream's stuttered protests of "wait wait stop no please don't" as he pulled at his trapped hands. "Theeeee tickle monster!" And with that, he finally cut the anticipation short and attacked, fingers squeezing and poking rapidly at Dream's ribs. Dream's laughter was immediate.
"AHaha, shihihit! Sahapnahap!" Dream's back arched again, trying to lean to either side to shake off Sapnap's fingers, but each time he tried the tickles only followed him.
"See, isn't this fun already?! You're giggling so much, you must be having a blast!" Dream protested this heavily, but Sapnsp just pretended to ignore his words. "We'll have to tell Karl his idea worked."
"Sahapnap nohohoho! Yohohou cahan't tehehell him anythihing!"
"Oh, yes I most certainly can!" Dream could only laugh in response, knees drumming against Sapnap's back and head shaking to try to calm the unbearable tickly feeling. "Man, Dream, I think I was gone for so long I must've forgotten how adorably ticklish you are!" Dream didn't think his face could get any redder, but Sapnap was always the best at teasing him, and he felt his face heat up even more, spreading to the tips of his ears.
"Shuhuhut UHUP! Ihihi ahaham not!"
"You're not what, not adorable or not ticklish?"
"Neheheitheher, yohohou ahasshole!" Sapnap let out an overexaggerated gasp, looking down at Dream incredulously.
"Neither?! Well, my friend Mr. Tickle Monster strongly disagrees!" Sapnap let his hands travel up Dream's ribs until they reached his armpits, letting his fingers wiggle in there for a few seconds as Dream's laughter shot up an octave. He attempted to clamp his arms down, but due to his hands still being trapped it didn't work that well.
"Sahahahahap!" Was all Dream managed to say in response, loud laughter switching to soft, squeaky, non-stop giggles and gasps when Sapnap's fingers went to flutter against the sides of his neck and under his chin.
"Oh yeah, I forgot you practically melt when this spot is tickled, you're just the cutest thing, aren't you, Dreamie?" Dream's nose scrunched up at the teasing, doing exactly as Sapnap predicted and melting into the blanket underneath his head.
"Sahapnahap plehehehease Ihi- ihit tickles so bahahad-" Dream shook his head to try to dislodge Sapnap's fingers once again, and the man above him smiled even wider.
"Alright, you big baby, you're so ridiculous," Sapnap teased, removing his hands. He reached one hand behind him to squeeze at Dream's knee a few times, laughing loudly at the way Dream yelped in response and kicked his legs out as if he was at the doctor's getting his reflexes tested. Then he used that hand to hold Dream's legs and the other to push himself down so he was now sitting back on his thighs instead of his waist, letting Dream's hands free in the process. It took Dream a few seconds to realize the weight on his hands was gone, but as soon as he did, he pulled them back to hold out in front of him to shield himself from whatever Sapnap's next attack was.
"Yohohou-" Dream cut himself off with a squeaky gasp, and Sapnap was no longer able to hold back his smile at how absolutely adorable his friend was. "Yohohou're insufferable."
"I try." Sapnap's hands then reached up, wiggling fingers hovering over Dream's tummy, and Dream barely even had time to realize what was going on before his eyes widened and he reached out to grab Sapnap's hands. His fingers wrapped around the first three of Sapnap's on either hand, giggling and shaking his head as they still kept up their movements even while Dream was holding them hostage.
"Noho, nonono, not there, please, you know how bad that spot is!"
"Mhm, of course I do, that's why I wanna make it the big finale, buddy!" Sapnap pushed against Dream's hands, which wasn't too hard considering Dream was considerably weaker from how much he'd been laughing the past few minutes. Eventually, he pushed far enough for his thumbs– which weren't being held by Dream's slightly shaky fingers– to reach his stomach and start drawing light circles against it. Dream laughed once again, growing even weaker and letting Sapnap's hands slip out of his grasp in favor of crossing his arms in front of his belly.
"Nohohot thehehere!" He practically whined, too exhausted to really do much else. Despite how hard his arms were clamped to his torso, Sapnap was still able to slip his hands under the hem of Dream's hoodie and scribble his fingers into the skin of his tummy.
Dreams' reaction was instantaneous.
He let out a loud wheeze, trying to turn onto his side and curl up even more as his giggles finally turned to loud laughter, littered with gasps and even a few snorts which caused Dream's eyes to widen in embarrassment and his hands to shoot up to cover his mouth. Sapnap simply shot his hands up to Dream's armpits to coax his hands back down before returning his attention to his belly.
"SAHAHAP! PLEHEHEHEASE! PLEASE I CAHAHAN'T!"
"Alright, alright, here's the real big finale, okay?" Dream's squirming returned in full swing as he watched Sapnap lean his head down towards his stomach, sucking it in again once he felt the cool air of the room on his skin, signifying that Sapnap had pushed his hoodie up. He let out a long string of babbled protests, one hand instinctively covering his face and the other held out to try to push Sapnap's head back (which was a short lived attempt to stop the oncoming tickles, as Sapnap just pushed his wrist down on the bed with his free hand and held it there).
He nearly screamed as Sapnap took a breath and blew a huge raspberry on his tummy, laughter cracking and raising an octave before going completely silent. Sapnap took that as his cue to stop, but not before blowing a few more raspberries, of course.
He pulled Dream's hoodie down over his stomach again, pushing himself off Dream's legs and sitting next to him on the bed with his legs crossed. Once again, it took Dream a second to realize that he was free, but when he did he practically jumped to curl into a ball, arms squeezing around his torso and knees pressing together against his crossed arms. He fell completely onto his side, his legs ending up resting against Sapnap's, as he took some well needed deep breaths and closed his eyes.
"I… literally hate you." He mumbled through his breaths, and Sapnap barked out a laugh that made him laugh as well.
"I'm sorry, I didn't go overboard, did I?"
"No, no, you're all good… It- it was kinda fun, actually…" Sapnap's eyebrows raised at that.
"Really?" He asked with a soft smile, giggling when Dream opened his eyes to try to look at him but quickly flushed bright red again and buried his face in his hands.
"I mean… yeah? I guess it was just nice to… y'know… I dunno… it was nice to do after you got back, was just... fun... I guess?" Dream tried to explain, stumbling over his words as he finally got the courage to look at his friend, face warm and eyes wide, and Sapnap couldn't help but think he looked like a puppy searching for reassurance. He smiled sweetly.
"Awwww, you missed me, that's so cute!"
"Alright, forget it, I don't wanna talk about it," Dream said as he suddenly sat up to get ready to leave. Before he could stand up, however, he felt Sapnap's arms wrap around his waist and pull him back towards him.
"Dream! I'm just trying to have a moment with you, can't we just have a moment?"
"No! Sapnap, let go!" His hands grabbed onto Sapnap's arms yet again, but he wasn't really trying to get away. He let Sapnap pull him down onto his side to lay against the pillows this time, smiling at the way his friend's arms held him tightly around his waist, one hand reaching up to grab near his collarbone. His thumb ended up resting right above the collar of his hoodie and gently brushed over his warm skin.
"Nope! Too bad, now you have to cuddle me," The man behind him said, nuzzling his nose into the back of Dream's neck.
"Ugh, fine," Dream said in feigned annoyance, covering Sapnap's arms with his own and relaxing into the mattress under him. If he had to admit it, he was exhausted, and a nap in this position didn't seem half bad. He closed his eyes and sighed, slowly drifting off.
"Happy belated birthday, Dreamie," Is the last thing he heard before he fell asleep. He supposed the movie could wait until tomorrow.

Sequel to Secrets Secrets
After George and DreamXD having both their worst spots revealed, it's Dream's turn to share his own secret. Or George will tell it for him.
This one is really short. Sorry about that.
Dream had just made it to George’s front door, throwing it open and freedom of fresh air brushed his face before he was tackled to the ground.
“Where are you going, Dream~?” George teased, his arms wrapped around Dream’s torso. Dream started to struggle, almost wriggling out, but he felt XD’s hands on his legs, pulling him back in the house.
“It’s only fair, brother.” XD joined into the tease.
“Nonononono…” Dream giggled before the hands on him even started tickling. He tried to grasp onto the floor, slow down any attempt but he was dragged back into the middle of the room.
“Plehease. Geohohorge.” Dream tried his best to plead to his friend, but it was hard to give pleading, puppy dog eyes when his thighs were suddenly squeezed. Nails skittered down the back of his knees and over his calves and he threw his head back, barking out a laugh.
“Oh do you not want me to tell XD your most ticklish spot, Dream?” George cooed. “Do you want it kept secret? Like how mine was?”
“Ihihihi’m sohohohohorry!” Dream yelped, banging his fist onto the ground as he arched his back and tried to crawl away. XD’s hands weren’t just tickly, but they were holding him down and stopping any escape.
“”Where’s his worst spot, George?” XD asked so calmly. “It’s certainly not his thighs and knees. Though they are good spots.”
“S-Stohohohohop!” Dream was cursing himself for praising DreamXD’s calm tone in flustering George before. Now it was just flustering him.
Oh how the turns have tabled.
“His worst spot is his feet. He goes nuts when you tickle him there.” George taunted, keeping in the same tone as when Dream revealed his secret. Dream whined into his arms.
XD made a noise like something akin to a purr. They stopped their tickling, making a move for Dream’s boots and Dream struggled. He was still giggling when he kicked his legs, and turned over on his side.
“NOHOHOHO! Gehehet awahahay!” Dream kicked one of his legs out of XD’s hold, but before he could think of his next move, George pounced, grabbing his wrists and holding them up. “Nohohoho! Geohohohorge!”
“What’s wrong Dream~?” George cooed. “Can’t take a little revenge?”
Dream shook his head, hiding his face into his arms as best he could with George holding them up.
“You did bring this on yourself, brother.” XD chimed in, his voice imitating the softness of George’s. “It’s only fair.”
XD had taken off his boots, which was a lot faster and easier to do with four hands. Dream curled his toes at the thought of those claws running down his soles.
“Geohohorge. E-Ehehex Dehehe…” Dream’s voice squeaked.
The hold over his wrists became softer. Not enough to let him escape, but it was more comforting as George leaned down to whisper in his ear.
“We’ll stop when you say ‘stop’, okay?”
Dream looked up to his friend, who smiled warmly, and looked to his brother who had the same kind smile.
“Ohokay…”
That eased Dream’s nerves, making him relax which was a big mistake because when XD’s nails started scribbling over his soles it tickled all the more. He arched his back, as shock after shock of ticklish lightening ran through is body. He screamed before the laughter came pouring out of him.
“EHEHEHEX DEHEHEHEHE! WHAHAHAHA!!!”
XD held Dream’s ankles with his upper hands as his lower hands could tickle both feet. He dragged his nails over Dream’s heels, slow and deliberate, before he dragged one finger up Dream’s right foot while he spidered his nails over his left one.
“NOHOHO! N-NOHOHOHOT THEHEHEHERE!” Dream squeaked and jolted.
“Oh?” XD’s voice peaked with interest. “Did I find a bad spot?”
“You must have tickled over his arches.” George added in. “He’s really weak there.”
“Geohohorge! Nohohoho!” Dream wriggled left and right, tugging his feet but XD’s grip was unmoving.
“Oh…” XD stopped his tickling for a moment. His smile turned to a grin. “Is that true, Dream?”
Dream watched his brother set his hands close to his foot. Not touching yet but so close. XD started wriggling his fingers and slowly moved them to Dream’s foot. Right over his arches.
“XD! NOHO! D-Dohohon’t! DON’T! I caha-AHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!”
XD’s nails made contact, skittering along Dream’s arches and tracing shapes into his skin. Dream went near mad with laughter. He wriggled and pulled his arms in George’s hands, near enough breaking out of George’s hold.
“Dream~” George cooed. “Can you not handle it? The tick-tick-tickling over your arches? Are they still so sensitive?”
“GEOHOHOHOHOHORGE!!!”
“Oh~ I bet those nails tickle so badly! I know how the feel over my thighs, I can’t imagine how bad it is for you. You’re much more ticklish.”
“GEOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHORGE!!!”
XD stopped the tickling suddenly. Dream was still laughing and giggling as he was gasping for breath. He melted back into George, panting and whimpering as he felt XD’s thumb swipe over his ankles.
“I… Ihihis ihihit oveher?” Dream asked once he’d gotten enough air to speak. He tired to pull his feet back, but XD’s hands weren’t moving.
“Almost.” XD promised.
Dream whined before breaking out into a high pitched laugh again. His back arched and his eyes opened wide to see XD swiping a feather over his left foot.
Dream screamed in a laugh, arching his back as George gasped above him.
“You spawn in feathers but you won’t spawn in the flowers we need!” George accused.
“This is a special case.” XD defended themselves, smiling over their brother’s rolling in laughter. “He loves feathers just as much as you do, George!”
“XD!” George’s face went red, flustering out excuses and calling the God a liar.
Dream would have loved to hear the exchange between them, but he was stuck in ticklish hell, hearing only his laughter as his brain was overridden with ‘IT TICKLES IT TICKLES IT TICKLES IT TICKLES!’
“S-STOHOHOHOP!!! ENOHOHOHOUGH!!!”
The tickling stopped right away. XD let go of Dream’s ankles and he curled up instantly. George let go of his wrists but kept his hands over Dream, rubbing over his shoulder and patting through his hair.
Dream giggled into the floor. He felt like he melted into a puddle of ticklish energy. The shocks and tingling still ran through his body, only soothed slightly with George’s petting.
Dream felt himself be moved. He was cuddled up in a set of two arms and the room shifted. He was dropped down to George’s plush bed and joined as George climbed in beside him, cuddling Dream into his chest.
“You alive, Dreamie?” He gave a soft poke into Dream’s cheek, giggling as Dream whined in response.
“I’m fine…” His voice slurred with his exhaustion. He was settling into the comfort warmth of his friend when he shuffled, trying to move himself up. “Mmm…what about your flowers?”
“I can get them another time.” George waved off, easily pushing Dream back down. His voice went quiet, almost to a whisper. “The flowers were for DreamXD. They wanted to try making a garden so I offered to help.”
Dream blinked up to the brunette. “That’s awfully sweet of you.” He teased.
“Shush.” George rolled his eyes.
Dream wanted to ask when George and XD became friends. How had it happened? And why didn’t you tell me about it?
The jealousy reared it’s ugly head, and Dream swallowed it back down. He was feeling warm and happy and he wasn’t going to let the moment be ruined because he was upset his friend was making other friends.
XD returned a moment later. Dream was too comfortable that he hadn’t even noticed his sibling had left. They stood looking more put together. Their mask covered their whole face now and their cloak, which sat loosely on him, was now drawn closer into themselves.
“I have to go.” XD announcing. “I’ve been here too long.”
George gave a disappointed sound. Dream had as well. Despite the jealousy, annoyance and tickle attack from them, he really had enjoyed seeing his sibling again.
“What about your garden?” George asked.
“Next time.” XD nodded. It wad strange how with just covering his lips, his emotions were almost gone. “I need to get back to work.” He tiled his head up, addressing Dream now. “It was good to see you again, brother.” Dream could hear his smile.
Dream wanted to ask him to stay. He wanted to spend more time with him, and catch up. Dream wanted to be close to him. But he was too tired and heavy to speak. He could barely move, and his eyes were slipping closed when XD turned and left.
Dream fell asleep cuddled into George’s chest, soothed off to sleep by the petting through his hair and his friend’s heartbeat under his ear.
