Been thinking about this for a while when I go in and out of my Tony Stark hater phases (I'm a lover at other points, maybe I'm just an overly critical Tony Stark lover cuz man's was a war profiteer 😭), but there is one criticism of Tony that I disagree with. One of the most common criticisms I see of Tony is that he didn't shut down Stark Tech weapons dept until he was affected, which I feel is only partially true. When Tony escapes and has the press conference, he stated that he saw the weapons he made to protect American soldiers be used to kill them. He didn't say how he was held hostage or captured because of his weapons, he mentions the people that lost their lives.

Rhodey is Tony's best friend and is in the military. I genuinely believe that a huge part of Tony making those weapons in the first place (aside from being Howard Stark's son) is that he saw each one of those weapons as one that would protect Rhodey. Every deadly weapon was one that could eliminate threats to Rhodey, even when his time in combat was reduced because of his rank. And how Rhodey is always willing to stick his neck out for Tony and won't hesitate to tell him he's in the wrong.

Tony always had the ability to shut down the weapons dept of SI and didn't because he believed it was better than the alternative. But when he saw that it wasn't, he immediately took action and spent the rest of his life trying to right his wrongs while doing more wrongs in that attempt and doing more rights (my fav comic panel of this is when Carol says that she, like Tony, tries so hard to fix things and put them back together that the pieces break (in Secret Empire) and I see so much of that in the MCU, esp early Tony.

Anyway, I just love Tony and Rhodey's friendship and wish we got to see more of it.

I haven't read the comics of their relationship yet, so I can't so if this holds up there, but Wanda x Vision is so peak 😭

Like, Wanda got Zombified and VIsion was all "I can fix her" and lured people in order to keep her fed. And Zombie Wanda's love was so strong that when he offed himself because he couldn't leave her but he wanted humanity to have a chance, she still grieved him.

The way they are both so willing to become monsters just to hold each other, despite knowing the other would disapprove, and still do it because it's the only way they can live is so dear to me. The way they are both trying to find out who they are with their powers and find an answer in each other 😭

AND THE WAY VISION IS ALWAYS HOLDING WANDA'S HANDS, WHERE HER WIGGLY WOOS ARE THAT OTHERS ARE SCARED OF, AND ONLY SEES WANDA AND NOT HER POWERS

Anyone else remember when Kenjaku was going over his plan, he said everyone gets in Gojo's way, no matter how strong, and there was an image of Geto outside the KFC? I wonder if part of the reason Geto and Gojo were given solo missions was not only because of their individual strength, but because Geto got in Gojo's way? Like, Geto went from being Satoru's equal and capable of helping/protecting him to being the same burden everyone else was to Satoru.

Also, the way Geto has been treated as secondary throughout major moments in his life. As a special grade, he was second to Gojo in power (mainly in political power and official art/the intro showing Geto being more scuffed up while Gojo doesn't have a scratch). Geto was little more than a nuisance to Toji and the reason he lived is because his death had the potential to cause even more of an inconvenience (which, lk ended up happening 😭). Geto's depression went under the radar because it was pretty much normal for sorcerer's (Gojo talking to Megumi about the sorcerers who quit because it was too much) and what separated him from others was his status as a special grade (still, secondary to Gojo). He was only allowed to defect because he had the privilege of Gojo caring about him. His death was secondary to Yuta's progress. His body used as a tool in a villain's failed plan that cost Nanako and Mimiko their lives.

I'm not sure if it's just me, but I feel like Geto is so tragic because he has consistently been a passenger in his own life despite him fighting to pave his own path.

The Trevor Project Received over 1,400 Call By Early Monday Afternoon. Most of those calls, if not all, are coming from children. Children scared of you and what you will do. Imagine how much power and how horrible you have to be to do that.

Untitled and unedited WIP of a modern au with Gojo and Sukuna If I got anything wrong about the writing system, lemme know. I'm pretty sure I wrote this at 2am and it's been in my drafts ever since 😭 if it's clunky, blame it on sleep deprivation lmao

Fandom: Jujutsu Kaisen Relationship: Sukuna Ryoumen and Gojo Satoru, eventual Sukuna Ryoumen/Gojo Satoru TW for referenced child abuse and child neglect

The sound of leaves crunching underfoot reached Satoru’s ears as he marched toward a particularly bright source of cursed energy. He recognized the energy of a few of his guards around the bright source, but they paled in comparison—like the sun blotting out the stars. Still, Satoru could tell his guards were hostile and the bright source seemed to be curling in on itself but had so much cursed energy that it was impossible to do.

“What are you doing?” Satoru sneered as he walked toward his guards and the bright source.

“Lord Gojo,” one of the guards began as he backed away from the bright source, “we were dealing with a trespasser. Please return to the estate.”

The bright source was in a defensive stance, though his form left much to be desired. He had four arms and four eyes with a pattern adorning his face that was slightly darker than his skin. “I refuse to return without him.”

“My lord,” another one of his guards protested.

Satoru turned to glare at him. “If you refuse, I will punish you.” Deeming his guards dealt with, Satoru walked toward the bright source and extended his hand before he introduced himself. “Call me Satoru. We’re friends, now tell me your name.”

The bright source sneered at Satoru and attempted to swat Satoru’s hand away and would have if he had not activated infinity. Glaring, the bright source answered, “I don’t really have a name. People have called me Sukuna—I don’t know why.”

“It’s probably because you both have four arms and four eyes,” Satoru answered. He realized the bright source likely knew little about the world of Jujutsu and with a smile, he excitedly asked, “Do you want to read my clan’s scrolls about him? He basically had the perfect body for sorcery—you have the perfect body for sorcery. How do you feel about being called Sukuna? I can name you something different.”

“Sukuna is fine, and I would like to read those scrolls,” Sukuna answered while looking skeptical. No matter, Satoru would definitely win him over! “Are they written in kanji or katakana or hiragana? Or a mix?”

“Depends on which one you want,” Satoru answered as he grabbed Sukuna’s hand and led him back to the Gojo estate. “Sukuna is super famous, so there’s all kinds of stories about him written in all kinds of ways. My clan tests our reading and writing by having us translate important scrolls into different writing systems and into other languages. How’s your reading and writing? They didn’t refuse to teach you, did they? We’ll punish them once we get stronger.”

Sukuna got a weird look on his face as he processed Satoru’s words. With a slight smirk, he answered, “They didn’t teach me, I taught myself. Why do you assume that we’ll get strong together and not hurt each other?”

“Well, we’ll probably hurt each other when training together but not badly,” Satoru said after a moment of consideration. “We’re going to get strong together because everyone else is super weak and it’d be boring without each other.”

“That’s a good point,” Sukuna conceded, squeezing Satoru’s hand. “What does being friends with each other mean? I’ve read that friends look out for each other and spend time together.”

“I’ve read that, too!” Satoru said happily. “I’ve never had a friend but I always imagined friends would train and eat together. I’ve also read stories where friends sleep in the same room together to keep each other safe. For now, I want you to stay in my room in case my clan tries to hurt you.”

“We can decide what friends do on our own,” Sukuna declared as he picked up the pace and broke into a run hand-in-hand with Satoru. At some point, the guards had decided to make themselves scarce, likely fearing Satoru’s wrath after he proclaimed his friendship with Sukuna.

thinking about how to Gojo, love is “the most twisted curse of them all”, and that’s what he wields to battle Sukuna, leaving him with a broken heart and so much openings that guarantee his kids’ chance at winning in the end.

because “curses can only be exorcised by another curse”.

after Gojo died, there are 5 or 6 instances where they use something along the line of “Sukuna couldn’t do this & that because of his battle with Gojo”, hell even Sukuna himself admitted that.

And the thing is i think Sukuna didn’t realize that. He thought Gojo was greedy for also going on about the love and solitude route, he didn’t realize Gojo viewed Love differently from Yozoru and Kashimo. to Gojo LOVE IS A CURSE.

Sukuna didn’t realize Gojo was putting a curse on him.

You know, it used to haunt me for years what kind of curse Gojo would become in a cursed AU… but i think i know now.

It’s Love. It’s Love all this time. The abandoned Love that withered and fell in a garden of deep purple, as fleeting as the seasons.

I just got the idea of Magneto meeting Sukuna and I choose to believe Magneto would go on a rant about how great having four arms and four eyes is, and Sukuna is just there confused because he was just going to kill the people that tried to gang up on him. The second Magneto showed up they ran and Magneto was pitching the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants to Sukuna and reassuring him that humans are stupid and can't understand how great his mutations are lmao

i know this makes no sense but it brings a smile to my face
