To all of you that has been sending such kind anonymous messages and commenting on my work, I greatly appreciate you!

Firstly, I owe you all such an apology for dropping off of writing without explanation. I have fallen into a very vicious habit of comparing my writing and reader engagement to others on this app. It has taken a terrible toll upon my confidence in my work. I have been experiencing writers block for some time now.

I would love to continue writing but my confidence is very low.

Rhaenyra reminds me of those white moms who have kids with a different race father and then refuses to acknowledge that they don’t have the same privileges as her. like she’s had so much privilege and power her whole life she can’t even see the corner she’s just backed her child, her heir into. She’s so dense that it hurts. Jace is right. ALICENT was right. Having three fucking kids with a man whose genes had proved to curb stomp yours IS an insult! Not bc bastards are evil or anything, but it’s a fucking insult to Jace, to Luke, to Joffery to drag them in a situation where they’re constantly demonized for YOUR actions and then REFUSE to own up to it even when your child is begging you with literal tears in their eyes to not take the one thing that saves him from the bullying and harassment YOU brought onto them. At this point, I’m extremely grateful the story ends with the targs in disarray bc none of those white haired fuckers deserve the throne (except for Baela and Jace, with brown hair

And to make it even worse, Jace is RIGHT. When the war is over and your brown haired, pug nosed child who looks exactly like someone NOT his legal father is named heir and you’ve taken his ONLY symbol of legitimacy away what will you do then?? Hmm?? I swear…

I keep seeing debates about this and I want to know where everyone’s head is at.

The Criston and Rhaenyra incident.

I acknowledge the power imbalance. At the same time there was no indication of coercion so I can’t make head or tales of how to view it. Furthermore, I didn’t really see this argument (that doesn’t mean it didn’t exist) so prevalent until post season two.

I immediately recognized the power imbalance but I never got a “do this or you’re cooked vibe.” Hell he asked her to runaway from him and she basically just said no and shrugged.

What breaks my brain even further is if Rhaenyra assaulted Cole does that mean due to the power imbalance did Alicent assault him as well?

Also I am not anti these characters I just want to reach every one because I’m curious on different outlooks.

At the end of the day, I hope the actors know none of this is on them when people are upset or don’t like this season. They carried the show and their characters on their own when the writers clearly don’t understand any of them.

They were all perfect in every way.

“Aegon the realm’s delight” is the saddest line ever. Aegon wants to be a daughter so bad. To be coddled and gazed upon with love and affection rather than distain and fear. Rhaenyra wishes to be a son. She wants the loyalty everyone has to be unwavering. She wants to be feared and respected like a man. They are truly two sides of the same coin.

I’ve been seeing this take and here are my thoughts. What Rhaenyra said was right to a point. Aegon has to die which will destroy the movement of his supporters. What needs to be acknowledged is this war is more than just a son for a son.

She has to kill all her brothers when we really think about it. The only way to really squash another rebellion (which this is technically) she would have to remove any other trueborn sons Viserys sired. That being Aegon, Aemond, and Daeron.

I do think that everyone is forgetting Rhaenyra never planned to harm her siblings. Once the throne was usurped and her son was killed it quickly became an us or them situation.

I don’t condone what happened to Jaehaerys but man does this fandom place blame in the oddest places.

Things I blame characters for:

Rhaenyra my queen, my GWORL. You couldn’t have had ONE legitimate baby with Laenor. Sheesh. The odds were stacked against you and you did yourself no favors with them beautiful dark haired babies. I do believe in the books though the boys were legitimate and just victims of circumstance.

Alicent, yes your bitterness through the years made your children unkind. Except Helaena, she’s a doll. Had Alicent actually put focus into her children and not into spiting Rhaenyra, things could’ve been different. Her anger is very misplaced, she’s mad Rhaenyra can do whatever she wants. Her dad was the king, your dad pimped you out. Be mad at your dad.

Damn you Daemon Targaryen for blood and cheese. Damn you.
