I do not think the founder fathers of The United States of America would agree with this hateful bigot named Donald Trump. I believe just like our founding fathers did and wrote in the Declaration of Independence, July 4, 1776; "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all me are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness." In my mind America is a melting pot of culture and religions. We live in a vast and diverse world. With many different beliefs and upbringings that shaped the way we are. I have a dream that one day we can learn to appreciate each other because of our differences and learn to honor and appreciate the life we are given. I believe it should be a human right for someone to seek and be granted political refuge from an area of war and crimes against humanity. I do not believe we should sit idly back like other countries and some of our allies, i.e. Saudia Arabia, Israel and the UAE; and do nothing. I believe human life matters. Religion and where a person comes from should not be the determining factor of giving a human refuge. I did not chose to be born into the USA with minuscule 1st world problems like my pizza delivery guy took 45 minutes to deliver pizza, or my Amazon package didn't arrive within two days. I am fortunate to have grown up feeling relatively safe. I fortunate enough to be born unknowingly, with a privilege just because of the color of my skin and name. I also believe millions of humans did not choose to be born into an area that has been full of centuries of hate and crime. Also in areas that we have aided in creating chaos and unsafe environments for families. It would be a shame to turn our backs on fellow human beings that are embarking on life threatening journeys, all to just find a safe place to sleep and eat. Children and families should not die while we watch from our safe havens. Humans must act and learn that we must care about each other.
