An officially licensed 1989 coaster from Japan featured a unique illustration of Peach and Raccoon Mario holding each other's pinky fingers. Here is a cleaned-up, isolated version of the image used on the coaster.

In Mario Kart 8/Deluxe, the motion of each character is governed by four independent systems: -animation (which action the character is currently performing, e.g. sitting in the seat, throwing an item, posing after a stunt, etc. In older Mario Kart games, this was the only factor) -head tracking (the character's head turns to look at other drivers and items as they pass by) -facial expressions (the character's face changes to show their current mood, e.g. happy after winning or in pain after being hit) -vehicle motion counterbalance (the character subtly shifts in the seat in accordance with the vehicle's movement by bending limbs or changing posture. Hair and other freely moving character parts also fall under this system)
To demonstrate that these systems are actually completely independent of each other, it is possible to turn one of them off and see that the other ones are still being applied to the character. In the footage, Daisy's animations are turned off, leaving her stuck in a T-pose. However, she still looks around, changes expressions, and even bends her arms and legs to balance the bike's movement.

In Donkey Kong Country, swinging ropes exist outside of time. The footage features several times the game is paused, recognizable by the movement of all objects stopping.
However, instead of resuming smoothly at the exact same spot after unpausing - as would be expected from any other game - the ropes seem to teleport around randomly when the game is unpaused (also moving DK and Diddy around if they were holding onto the rope during the pause).
The reason for this is that ropes run on an internal global timer that for some reason keeps counting even if the game is paused, despite no other physics-relevant variable behaving in this manner. This causes ropes to merely appear to be suspended when the game is paused, but actually keep swinging invisibly in the background. When the game is unpaused, the visual position of the rope simply "catches up" with its actual position that has been swinging back and forth all along.

Warning
It has come to my attention that parody accounts have been used to make posts that appear to originate from Supper Mario Broth, but which contain false information that, while humorous, might mislead readers that expect factual information whenever they see Supper Mario Broth posts. Please understand that while I appreciate and welcome parodies, I am concerned with the spread of correct information first and foremost. This post is here to inform you on how to distinguish the factual content from the parody content.
Parody accounts are able to copy the name, icon, banner and description of the blog, as well as its posting style, but they are distinguishable by their username. If you encounter posts that appear to originate from Supper Mario Broth that seem to contain dubious or obscene information, please check the blog's username. If it is not "suppermariobroth" (but e.g. substitute one of the letters for a similar one), the blog is not me and as such the post in question should not be taken as factual information.
Thank you all very much for your continued support.

Artwork of Mario and Peach as a couple, shown in an official 1996 Satellaview broadcast. The Satellaview was a Japan-only add-on for the Super Famicom that allowed it to receive satellite transmissions; while it is most commonly known for featuring games, it also offered shows that had live audio alongside a slideshow of pictures.

Homestead Greys In Star Trek DS9
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I recently started watching Deep Space 9 and it brought the biggest smile to my face to see Sisko wearing a Homestead Greys hat.
The Homestead Grays were a Pittsburgh-based Negro league baseball team that played in the Negro National League from 1922 to 1948…
The Homestead Grays were one of the most successful Negro league baseball teams, winning multiple championships in the Negro National League. The Homestead Grays weren’t inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame UNTIL 2006 (almost 60 years later!). They were one of the best baseball teams PERIOD… So seeing one of the characters in a show from the 90’s represent this team years before the baseball hall of fame even did made me so happy… The record stats from the Homestead Greys weren’t put into consideration into baseball history until this year! The Homestead Greys had some of the best baseball players of all time on their team.
As someone from Pittsburgh seeing this team represented in something as impactful as Star Trek made me so happy. Whoever did the costuming for Star Trek Deep Space 9, excellent job.
