Women of the Nukak Maku, a nomadic hunter-gatherer tribe traditionally from the Guaviare Department of Colombia. Considered uncontacted until 1981, they have since lost half their population, largely to disease, and their homelands have been occupied by coca growers, paramilitary, guerilla groups, and the Colombian army. They are one of the thirty-four groups of indigenous people considered endangered in Colombia.
