Common Myths About Glock Compensators
Common Myths About Glock Compensators
Many people are not sold on the compensator idea because they feel that a compensated weapon is not as good as its uncompensated counterparts. However, this is not the case at all. There are plenty of myths associated with compensators. Let’s check a few of them and compare them to actual facts:
The flash is blinding and destroys night vision
No, the muzzle flash of a compensated weapon won’t blind you. The flash is definitely there, but it will only disorient you if you can’t see your target. In which case, you will literally be shooting in the dark!
If there is no ambient light, you might consider using a flashlight or a pistol light to illuminate your target. This way, you will always protect yourself from making a terrible mistake.
The gasses released by the compensator can seriously injure the user
Yes, you might be injured by the gasses released by your weapon, but that is only possible if you put your eyes and face right next to the muzzle. Most responsible shooters won’t want to do anything of the sort.
Should you hold your weapon very close to your upper body, you might end up with gas residue on your face. However, this will only disorient you a bit, and it won't cause any damage. While being uncomfortable, it is certainly not dangerous as such.
During normal use, these gasses won’t be anywhere close to your face. You should always wear eye protection whenever you use your handgun or any other weapon, in any case.
The compensator will jam my weapon
Every gun has its own specific type of compensator. If you use one that is too big or too small, it will lead to reliability issues. As long as you use a comp that has been specifically designed for your weapon, you are good to go.
Herrington Arms’ Glock Compensator
The HC9C is a uniquely small compensator. One that can fit Glock models gen two to five as long as they are 17, 19, and 26. It will substantially reduce real and felt recoil on your Glock and turn it into the ultimate race gun. It is so tiny that you will be able to conceal carry your Glock just the way you always did.
This small but effective micro compensator is the ideal accessory for your Glock pistol. If you want to increase your speed and accuracy, and level up your game, it is time to get a glock compensator. Herrington Arms’ HC9C 3.0 clicks all the boxes when it comes to light and effective compensators.

What Difference Does a Compensator Make?
What Difference Does a Compensator Make?
All guns generate recoil, which leads to muzzle flips. As a general rule, the more powerful the caliber and the lighter the gun - the greater the felt recoil. Many weapons such as the Berretta PX Storm, have a rotating barrel mechanism that shifts the recoil backward. However, the vast majority of big bore handguns work on the principle of the tilt-breech lock barrel mechanism.
This means the weapon is pushed upwards every time you take a shot. When that happens, it takes longer to get back on target. You can use a compensator to reduce muzzle flips.
How Does a Compensator Work
This device can be attached to the gun barrel. It directs the gases created by exploding powder, in a specific direction. Whenever you fire your Glock or any other pistol, the force of the explosion will push your weapon upwards.
However, the compensator will channel the gases through holes bored in its surface. They will release the gas upwards, thereby pushing the weapon in a downwards direction. This will mitigate the muzzle rise and ensure that your weapon doesn’t jump upwards, but remains on target. Many guns are internally compensated which means their barrels are internally ported with corresponding cuts in the slide to accommodate porting vents.
Some compensators also perform double duty as muzzle brakes. They have side ports that are designed to help reduce both felt recoil with muzzle rise. Compensated handguns are not only easier to shoot accurately; they also make one-hand shooting much more comfortable. You will feel a definite difference when you engage a target with your off-hand while using a compensated pistol. Compensators also make it easy to engage multiple targets rapidly and accurately.
Herrington Arms’ Glock HC9C 3.0 Compensator
This very small yet extremely effective compensator is specifically designed to work well with the Glock 9mm series of pistols. You can accessorize your Glock 17, 26, and 19 models with the HC9C compensator. As long as your Glocks are from generations 2 to 5.
Since it works perfectly with OEM stock springs, there is no need to tinker with the insides of your everyday carry weapon. The HC9C 3.0 will substantially reduce the recoil impulse of your carry weapons. It can also be easily concealed in your regular carry holster.
You can enhance the performance of your Glock with Herrington Arms’ glock 19 gen 5 compensators. It will transform your stock weapon into the ultimate carry package.

What Does a Compensator Do for Your Glock 17?
What Does a Compensator Do for Your Glock 17?
The Glock 17 created a revolution in the world of contemporary handguns. From its extreme simplicity to its reliability - to its ease of maintenance, there never has been a gun quite like the Glock. This is why military units and police as well as civilian firearm enthusiasts the world over, love the Glock so much.
However, it is possible to improve on perfection. Just like most other powerful handguns, the Glock also works on the locked barrel, tilt breech principle, which is why muzzle flip is inevitable. While the weapon’s low-bore axis helps to a certain extent, it still leaves a lot to be desired.
The weapon bucks every time you shoot, and it takes time to realign the sights and take the next shot. This reduces both speed and accuracy. However, you can mitigate the felt recoil by adding a compensator to your Glock.
This is a very simple barrel attachment. It is designed to ensure that you get back on target as soon as possible by reducing real and perceived recoil. A well-constructed compensator will also help increase muzzle control not just at the range, but more importantly, in a defensive situation. Your Glock compensator will help curb muzzle movement so that you will be able to take faster and more precise follow-up shots.
How Do Compensators Work?
As the very term implies, the compensator essentially ‘compensates’ for the violent reaction of rapidly expanding gases that propel the projectile towards its target. These gases push the pistol upward. The compensator channels these gases via its port holes. As the physical force of the shot pushes the muzzle, the compensator vents gases and pushes it down, thereby counteracting the force of the recoil.
This results in minimizing the movement of the weapon in your hand, especially during rapid-fire scenarios.
The HC9C 3.0 Micro Compensator by Herrington Arms
Herrington Arms have created the ultimate Glock Micro Compensator in the form of the HC9C 3.0. This small but highly effective compensator substantially reduces recoil when installed on the Glock 17. It will work seamlessly with Glocks 17/19/26 variants as long as they have 1/2-28 barrels and are GEN 2-5. It works perfectly well with stock OEM springs, so you don’t need to change anything in your carry weapon.

How the CZ P10c Compensator Ensures a “User Friendly” Experience
How the CZ P10c Compensator Ensures a “User Friendly” Experience
The CZP-10c and its P10f cousin are amongst the CZ brand’s recent forays into the polymer and striker-fired world. Unlike many other similar pistols, the CZ P10 series works well and doesn't give FTF and FTE issues. However, its high bore axis makes for a gun that’s a bit jumpy.
In other words, the tilt barrel mechanism of the gun flips its muzzle upwards every time you fire a round. The greater the flip, the more time it would take to align the weapon back on target. This also creates problems for novice shooters since the felt recoil is high enough to make them flinch. I.e. lower the muzzle of the weapon before, or while squeezing the trigger. Not only will it throw your aim off, but it might develop into a very bad habit that’s almost impossible to eliminate.
However, this issue can easily be rectified with the help of a compensator. As the gases force the barrel upwards, the compensator will push it downwards, thereby negating the recoil impulse. This leads to a more user-friendly experience as the weapon remains on target, and you feel like you are shooting a mild .32 ACP load instead of a full-power 9x19 one.
The HC10 3.0 Compensator: The Best Accessory for Your CZ P10c
Herrington Arms have created the ideal compensator in the form of the HC 1.0c for the CZ P-10c and its CZ-P10f counterpart. This small but effective compensator substantially reduces the recoil impulse. It will easily fit all OEM suppressor-ready Primary Machine and Killer Innovations threaded barrels. Since the HC10 works seamlessly with stock springs, you won’t have to change any parts on your everyday carry weapon.
The HC10 Compensator has been manufactured out of proven and tested aluminum 6061. It is light in weight and very durable. This product has been precision engineered on CNC machines to deliver outstanding performance for a long time.
Key Highlights
Superb recoil reduction properties that will make shooting your compact CZ-P10c a breeze
Weapons-grade 6061 aluminum effectively ensures reliability, longevity, and lightweight in the same package
Available in black anodized finish to match the rugged good looks of your dark-themed CZ P-10 configuration
No need to go to the nearest gunsmith for installation since it is very easy to install
5/64 Allen key already included in the package
Lifetime warranty. No questions asked!
The cz p10c compensator will not only help you tame runaway recoil but also enable you to take faster follow-up shots. Make it part of your EDC package and carry your CZ with total confidence!

Why the Combat Application Tourniquet Is Considered A Top 10 Greatest Invention of the US Army
Why the Combat Application Tourniquet Is Considered A Top 10 Greatest Invention of the US Army
The North American Rescue CAT Tourniquet is an invention that has been credited with saving innumerable lives. This is an actual one-handed tourniquet that can be used single-handedly by even a grievously wounded individual. The United States Army's Institute of Surgical Research (ISR) has proven that if it is applied correctly, it will be 100 percent effective at its task. That is, the CAT will completely occlude blood flow from a significantly hemorrhaging extremity in the event of a highly traumatic wound
Durable Windlass System
This tourniquet uses a highly durable and reliable windlass system that comes equipped with its own patented and unique free-moving internal band. This band provides the required circumferential pressure to the injured extremity. Once the CAT has been adequately tightened, it will stop the bleeding and the windlass can be safely secured and locked into place. Its loop and hook windlass-operated retention strap is then applied to safely secure the windlass. It will maintain pressure on the wound during evacuation of the casualty.
It is this distinctive dual securing system that makes the CAT such a crucial survival tool. It avoids the use of complicated clips and screws since they become very difficult to operate under the extreme stress of a survival situation. It can also be operated even if fine motor skills have been compromised due to the injury.
Its reinforced windlass rod has a wide diameter for greater strength and very aggressive ribbing in order to improve the grip even with wet and slick hands. Both Special Operation and conventional forces are currently using the CAT in all theaters of operations.
Key Features
If applied properly, it can quickly control life-threatening bleeding in any extremity of the body
It is recommended by the Committee on Tactical Combat Casualty Care (CTCCC)
The CAT can perform well in all weather conditions
Cost-effective, yet light and small enough to be stashed away until needed
The CAT offers a patented ‘band within a band’ design
The US army has been using it as their official tourniquet since 2005
Specifications
Weight: 2.7 oz.
Open length: 37.5 inches
The North American CAT is hands down the very best combat application tourniquet around. It can literally mean the difference between life and death in case of an injury. Keep one in your home or car so that it is always there in case you need it.

Glock 9mm Compensator: An Effective and Attractive Addition to Your Glock
Glock 9mm Compensator: An Effective and Attractive Addition to Your Glock
Glock pistols have taken the world by storm practically since the day they burst on the world scene. Gaston Glock had a clear winner on his hands when he first showed his revolutionary design to the rest of the world.
In terms of simplicity and reliability, Glock has no superiors and hardly any equals.  A Glock can shoot thousands of rounds without any issue and it is so simple it can be field stripped and cleaned within minutes. It has very few parts so there is little chance of anything going wrong. Moreover, its low bore axis ensures that it doesn’t jump that much when you shoot the weapon. This holds true for all Glocks, irrespective of generation and caliber.
Improving on Perfection
The good People at Glock Inc. refer to their weapons as “Glock Perfection.” Which leads to the question of how does one improve on perfection? With a compensator, of course! Herrington Arms have created their  Glock HC9C 3.0 Micro Compensator for  Glock models 17, 19, and 26 Gens 2 to 5. While the muzzle flip of the Glock pistol is low, it can be improved with the help of a compensator.
Why Should You Use the H9C Micro Compensator?
The Glock pistol is a short recoil operated weapon. It uses a variation of John M Browning’s timeless locked-breech mechanism, while this mechanism is reliable, but it does tilt the barrel upwards whenever the weapon is fired. This is where the Glock compensator comes into its own. It not only reduces vertical recoil quite substantially, but also helps to curtail the horizontal recoil arc too. It does this via its vent holes located both on top and the sides. These holes tunnel the gas not just upwards, but also to both the sides. This keeps the weapon aligned on target.
The gases are forced upwards and to the sides instead of exiting the weapon from the muzzle. This forces the barrel downwards even as it is climbing upwards, which means you are back on target faster than ever before.
The H9C Micro Compensator is made of 6061 Aluminum and finished in an attractive and durable black Cerakote color that will enhance the rugged beauty of your Glock pistol. It also comes with a 5*64 Allen key for ease of installation.
Adding this small and discreet glock 9mm compensator to your EDC pistol will not only make it more effective, but also attractive as well. Best of all, it is small enough to fit your concealed carry lifestyle.

Why the Glock 17 Compensator is Trusted By Law Enforcement and Military Personnel
Why the Glock 17 Compensator is Trusted By Law Enforcement and Military Personnel
The Glock pistol has carved an enviable reputation for itself in the decades since it was first introduced. In fact, Gaston Glock's masterpiece has found widespread acceptance amongst LEOs, military personnel, and civilian shooters alike.
The Glock 17 pistol is a byword for unsurpassed reliability, ease of use, and durability. Add to that the fact that its low bore axis allows for very fast follow-up shots.
The surging popularity of the pistol has also led to a whole plethora of aftermarket accessories designed to complement this amazing pistol. One such product is the HC9C 3.0 Glock Micro Compensator by Herrington Arms.
Compensating the Glock 17 Pistol
A compensator mitigates the forces of felt recoil by reducing muzzle flip. As the hot gasses exit your pistol, they push up the barrel. This phenomenon is part of the operation cycle of every locked-breech mechanism-operated weapon.
A compensator reduces the recoil impulse by vetting the excess gasses downwards via vent holes present in the compensator. As your Glock 17 flips upwards after a shot, the compensator will force it down so that you will be able to align the sights to your target more quickly. This holds particularly true when compared to an uncompensated weapon.
The HC9C 3.0 Glock compensator is a great compensator that is small in size, but big on performance. It has been created for the express purpose of severely reducing recoil in your Glock pistols. It's a highly durable compensator that can handle whatever loads you shoot in your pistol. Its 6061 aluminum construction ensures ruggedness, durability, and is very lightweight. Moreover, the attractive black Cerakote finish will further enhance the natural elegance of your Glock.
The HC9C Glock 17 Compensator is fully compatible with stock Glock 17,19 and 26 variants as long as they are from Gen 2 to 5. It works perfectly well, even with stock springs, so you don’t have to mess with the internals of your personal defense weapon.
Key Features
Very small micro compensator
Black Cerakote finish for the ultimate in aesthetic appearances
Designed to reduce recoil so that you can get back on target very quickly
Lifetime warranty. No questions asked!
6061 durable aluminum ensures a very high degree of reliability
The Glock 17 is a staple for law enforcement agencies and a personal favorite of civilian shooters. You can further enhance this legendary weapon’s speed and accuracy by installing the HC9C Glock Micro Compensator so that you will be able to shoot faster and more accurately than ever before.  Its tiny size means that you will be able to carry it without noticing that it’s even there.
It will not only reduce the upwards tilt of the weapon but also narrow down horizontal recoil by releasing excess gas through both its sides. This smart upgrade will help you improve your shooting skills like never before!

Finding A Low-Weight Compensator For Your Concealed Carry: Glock Micro Compensator
Finding A Low-Weight Compensator For Your Concealed Carry: Glock Micro Compensator
Gaston Glock’s iconic pistol has taken the world by storm. From police officers to the FBI to Special Forces, the by now ubiquitous Glock is arguably the world’s most well-known gun.
Apart from its simplicity and reliability, another amazing aspect of this pistol is its breathtaking modularity. A Glock can be accessorized and modified in more ways than perhaps any other pistol available today. From RDS to mag extensions to drop-in trigger kits, the Glock has it all.
Glock Compensators
One of the best ways of improving ‘Glock Perfection’ is to use a compensator. While the recoil of the Glock 9x19 pistols is not very high thanks to the weapon’s low bore axis, it is there nonetheless. The greater the felt recoil, the longer the time it will take you to get back on target.
Enter the Glock micro compensator. This barrel extension is so small and light that it barely affects the balance of the weapon. However, its performance is at par with bigger and heavier compensators.
How Does It Work?
The Glock pistol uses the standard tilt locked-breech reloading mechanism. It is the most common type of pistol mechanism in the world. The weapon’s slide goes back to eject the spent shell and pluck a fresh round from the magazine to reload the gun. In the process, the weapon flips upwards.
Your HC9C micro compensator will expel the gases from the exploding powder upwards, thereby lowering the weapon. This will mean reduced real and perceived recoil. Since you recover faster after every shot, you will be able to shoot quicker than ever before. Low recoil also means less flinch so you won't jerk the trigger after the shot. This will lead to greater accuracy, both on and off the range.
Seamless Compatibility
This compensator works with stock Glock springs and will fit Glocks from G2 to Gen 5. It is available for the full-size Glock 17, the medium-sized Glock 19, and even the tiny Glock 26.
Its black Cerakote finish will enhance the looks of your pistol while its aluminum construction guarantees extreme durability. Best of all, this tough yet discreet product comes with Herrington Arms no questions asked lifetime warranty!
If you are interested in recoil reduction on your Glock 17, 19 or 26, this is the product to get.
There is no doubt that Herrington Arms has a clear winner in the form of the HC9C glock micro compensator.

Upgrading Your Backup Glock: Glock 19 Mag Extension
Upgrading Your Backup Glock: Glock 19 Mag Extension
There is no such thing as ‘too much firepower’ in case there is a real emergency. You can add that much needed little bit of extra trigger time to your Glock 19 by using the Herrington Arms Glock 19 Mag Extension. It can increase the G19’s original 15+1 capacity to 20+1. Unlike many other mag extensions available in the market, this one increases your weapon’s capacity by a full five rounds instead of just two or three.
It has been constructed of 6061 aluminum which is both very durable and so light, you will barely feel that it’s there.  The part has been very precisely CNC machined to ensure that it always works flawlessly, every time you squeeze the trigger. It is available in both FDE (flat dark earth) and simple black Cerakote finish. This way, you can either complement your Glock with the same color, or opt for a bit of contrast. It also fits the Magpul magwell, so you won’t have to change the furniture on your everyday carry weapon.
Seamless Compatibility
This extension can also fit your Glock 17’s baseplate. All you will need is the correct spring and viola - your 17+1 Glock 17 becomes a 22+1 very high capacity super shooter.  The extension comes with a lifetime warranty, no questions asked! You have any issues with the problem, simply return it, and get a replacement or your money back.
The GLOCK 19 (chambered in 9mm Luger) is widely considered by experts to be the ideal mix between concealability and firepower. From police departments to our nation’s special forces, the Glock 19 has found users and admirers everywhere. Its reduced dimensions can fit most hand sizes and make for a very comfortable shooting experience.
Apart from being an OWB sidearm for uniformed personnel, the G 19 also makes a great backup gun and can also be used for concealed carry purposes. The one thing it was lacking was extra firepower. Now that problem has been solved.  Thanks to this magazine extension, you will have the same firepower as some of the largest full-sized weapons available in the handgun market.
Whether it’s an IDPA style combat tournament or an actual situation - you can always benefit from the Herrington Arms Glock 19 mag extension.

Emergency Preparedness: The Combat Application Tourniquet
Emergency Preparedness: The Combat Application Tourniquet
The motto of the boy scouts is  'be prepared.'  It definitely applies to the combat application tourniquet. Soldiers and SWAT team personnel in particular, definitely need one when they prepare for battle. The layman can also take a leaf from the boy scouts’ book and keep one at all times.
When Should a Tourniquet Be Used?
Tourniquets should only be used when it is clear that you cannot stop the bleeding of an injured limb by using direct pressure alone. Heavy and uncontrollable bleeding can easily cause death within minutes of an injury. This is why it is absolutely essential to act as quickly as possible whenever a life-threatening traumatic wound is concerned.
The tourniquet you use can literally mean the difference between life and death. Here, the North American Cat (combat application tourniquet) is just the thing for such emergencies.  It has been proven to be extremely effective (up to a hundred percent efficacy) by the American Army-run Institute of Surgical Research (ISR).
Various tests have conclusively proven that the North American CAT successfully occluded blood flow of the injured extremity. This means that in case there is a traumatic wound, you can use the CAT to block the blood flow and prevent loss of life due to excessive bleeding.
How Does It Work?
The North American Rescue CAT works by utilizing an extremely rugged and durable windlass system. You can operate it with the help of a patented internal free-moving band that provides true and rapid circumferential pressure to the injured extremity. After you have tightened it adequately enough, it will ensure that bleeding will cease, provided that the windlass is locked into place.
Once that happens you will have to apply a loop and hook windlass retention strap. This will secure the windlass in order to maintain the required pressure during casualty evacuation. This dual securing system is unique to the CAT and it avoids the use of clips and screws that can take a lot of time to operate when seconds count. Moreover, the more complicated the mechanism, the more difficult it would be to operate under extreme survival stress, especially when fine motor skills might be compromised.
The patented rescue CAT features a proprietary red tip design. Its band-within-a-band design has the mechanical advantage of being extremely reliable regardless of combat conditions. This is why it has been the Official Tourniquet of the United States Army' since 2005.
Why Choose the North American Rescue CAT?
This tourniquet has been recommended by the Committee on TCCC (Tactical Combat Casualty Care) and has been designed so as to perform flawlessly in all weather conditions. It is also a very small and cost-effective system that can fit inside any kit bag. Its open length is only 37.5 inches, while its total weight is a mere 2.7 ounces.
Conclusion
The North American Rescue CAT is an absolutely amazing tourniquet. One that has adequately proven itself many times over in high-risk situations. This device can easily spell the difference between life and death in any untoward situation.
It is a great idea to keep one in your home, car, or even as an EDC so you will have it nearby in case you need it.

How Compensators Work On Your Glock
How Compensators Work On Your Glock
Compensators are a type of muzzle device that helps to reduce the recoil on your Glock. By reducing muzzle flip, they're helpful when rapidly shooting at targets.
When you shoot a Glock, gasses push the bullet out the barrel (the force of which causes muzzle flip). When the bullet exits the muzzle, a compensator vents these gasses up. The equal and opposite response pushes your muzzle down. The more ports, and also the larger the ports, the harder the gas pushes up, and pushes the pistol's muzzle down. Ports can also be added to the side to help mitigate against the horizontal recoil arc.
Compensators are useful when quickly firing, as you don't need nearly as much wait for the muzzle to "settle". Compensators are also good because aftermarket ones can't void Glock's warranty like other modifications can.

Why You Need a Compensator for Your Glock
Why You Need a Compensator for Your Glock
If you own a Glock, then you know that one of the most popular modifications for them is to add a compensator. A compensator attaches to the end of your barrel and directs some of the gas from each shot down into the ground, reducing felt recoil. It also helps control muzzle rise when shooting. In this article we will explore why adding a compensator to your gun may be beneficial for both competition shooters and everyday carriers!
Compensators are not only for competition shooters. They also reduce muzzle rise and felt recoil, which is good for everyday carriers too!
They help to control the upward movement of your gun while shooting. This reduces any perceived "jump" when transitioning from target to target or from one type of shot (full-auto) to another (single shots).
Compensators are relatively easy to install on Glock models 17/19/22/23; they require no modifications or change in function.
Compensators are also very affordable, typically costing $100 or less. A lot of shooters find that these benefits more than make up for the cost!
It's no wonder that Glock compensators are one of the most popular attachments. Just remember, you may need to replace your holster after purchasing one. Not all stock holsters will properly fit after.
