Honestly, this isn’t the worst context he could think to hear those words in. Since she’s joined the resistance he’s been trying to be a bit more friendly and approachable, with.. varied success. The only times he can really convince her to “ hang out ” are when he suggests they spar. She.. takes them a bit too seriously, clearly, but it’s better than nothing. At least she can get distracted enough from it to cast blame on him.

Although maybe that’s the least of his worries, considering the everything she was referring too was actually the elaborate decoration display Amy had temporarily set aside. It was for a pretty big event later, so.. perhaps fighting in the storage area and getting thrown right into it was one of the worst things that could’ve happened.

That's a statement she certainly seems passionate about - and he gets it. He can understand that sentiment.. to an extent. Unfortunately for her, he has the view that everyone inherently deserves to have a point of view on premise of being alive. If that should be listened to, acted on, or taken in good faith, well, that's where he's more critical. However, he.. can definitely understand how she's gotten a more jaded viewpoint than him.

There! That's leagues better - any built up nerves or stress practically melts off of him in the same moment she lightens up. And lighten up she has! It's clear from the way she springs up and the whole atmosphere shifts. She must be used to that dark cloud if getting rid of it brings her such instant relief, and he's glad to be the catalyst for it lifting; both for her sake and his own. If he had to sit through some stuffy, awful diplomatic discussion he isn't sure if he'd survive.

Snow's eyes widened a bit when the visiting royal seemed to take off the metaphorical crown and offer a sense of normalcy over formality. Her focus pulled to different corner of the room as if there were eyes watching her to catch her failure at any given moment... But there wasn't anything of the sort in the empty throne room.

Well, that's definitely a way to end a race early! Maybe he'd gotten too carried away with the sass, seeing how he was just distracted enough to completely lose his footing due to a tree root. Apparently he did more than just trip too, considering the limp that followed, and the way he didn't much feel like running afterwards. He'd tried playing it off as nothing, just something he'd walk off and that they could pick things up later, but apparently Shadow was having none of it. So here he is, not all too thrilled about the current situation, but begrudgingly putting up with it.
