I did order things before, but mostly music DVDs (for example Wagakki Band or DGS) but never musicals. So it was kind of sacred as it was so... rare for me. I was not sure if I liked Elisabeth either, since I didn't like the actess' voice in all songs (some songs were good though) but her expressions were great. I'm actually interested in buying Romeo & Juliet now :) Thanks for your blog! It's great
That’s great :)I was actually kind of hesitant to order my first musical DVD too. It’s funny because now I don’t hesitate to try and get stage tickets at the lotteries. So beware of the next step ;)And, yes, let’s hope Romeo and Juliet will get a DVD this time, but, with such a cast, the chances are pretty high. And hopefully it will be sold on amazon or other site who ship abroad this time, so you won’t have to rely on your coworker anymore. ^^

Hi! I asked you a long time ago about the Elisabeth DVD, thanks. I finally have it and watched it and I loved it! Even though I bought it because of Shirota Yuu; Yamazaki Ikusaburo was amazing too (and the rest of the cast ofc)
So it was worth the hassle and wait, after all, wasn't it? :)
I’m glad for you. I also remember the first time I got a DVD I thought I could never get my hands on because it was sold only in Japan... You just open it like it's a kind of sacred object, right? XD
Shirota Yuu’s version is also my favorite, but I also like the other one and all the cast... although I had some reservations about Elisabeth’s actress. But then I realised that was actually because the character.
Anyway, have a lot of fun watching, rewatching and comparing both versions ;)

I do hope they’ll give us a DVD this time, because I’m not sure I can do another escapade in Japan in February... Maybe if I try to be really nice to my boss? But she’s so hard to please...
Does anyone know when they will open the tickets sales?

The promotional video of last year’s Romeo & Juliette by TOHO Japan.
Featuring the following members of Kuromyu:
Furukawa Yuta as Romeo (Sebastian)
Miura Ryosuke as Benvolio (Joker)
Hirose Yusuke as Tybalt (Phippppppps)
Akisono Mio as Lady Montague (Frances)
Kyo Nobuo as Count Paris (The doctor)
Romeo and Juliette is an old tale, and to many quite cliché, BUT!
TOHO’s is really something different. The story is richly conveyed through dance. The youngsters (Romeo and his generation) are expressed through hip-hop, while the personification of Death is portrayed through ballet.
Romeo (Furukawa Yuta) starts out as a happy-go-lucky young man dancing his hip-hop, until Death takes control over him.
In an astonishing scene, Death dances with Romeo. Having a solid background in ballet, Furukawa engages Death in his ballet. And afterwards, Furukawa dances his hip-hop using ballet techniques!
This is an amazing combining of dancing styles and expertise!!! It’s something the other Romeo (Oono Takuro) did not manage to do! Please do go watch if you can! It’s not the ancient cliché ‘star crossed lovers’ story’ we’ve been forced down our throats since childhood, I swear!
Plus, you get to see Furukawa cry big tears (;;Ó~Ò;;)

Absent from Tumblr for 2 months and being greeted back by this pic... That is just gold XD
Furukawa’s Sebastian was absolutely perfect, except…
No hooker boots.
I know he wouldn’t be able to walk on those, but shhhhh, shhhh.
