Updated Minecrafter Ship Shield: RenDoc “Not Fluffly”

Blazon: Vert ermined grady vert, a ram’s head sable eyes sanguine horns iron dimidiated with gules, a wolf head affronty senois eyes azure shown smaller. Two adjustments with this one: first was changing the treatment on Doc’s shield to be the fur pattern instead of the pixelly custom treatment. Because as we all know, Doc isnt Fluffy. This was a pretty minor fix. The second change is much more drastic and corrects a major mistake I made last time: because Doc has referred to Rendog as his wife, Ren’s shield should be the secondary one and thus on the sinister side. (Once again, that’s a viewer’s right but the wielder’s left). So I swapped the two halves to reflect that. This was a major error that I should have caught before making the previous version, so I apologize for that.

Due to recent developments, I have needed to redesign @therealdocm77’s shield:

I’ll also be updating the RenDoc ship shield accordingly.

It was very rare for a knight’s coat of arms or blazon to change, but it was possible. This usually was to commemorate a major event like an incredible act of heroism, an elevation in rank, or a failure so huge and embarrassing that everyone needed to know about it. I feel like this counts.

I've noticed an issue in the gimmick community lately.

drop the personas, this is serious. do not roleplay with this message. this is extremely serious.

I've noticed MINOR run blogs have been interacting and creating nsfw content. This is fucking illegal (sources; one, two, three) first of all. And interacting and ROLEPLAYING in a NSFW BLOGS (who states minors DNI) posts are just fucking weird and break bounds

I haven't been in this community for more than a month and there are so many issues already. Yes, its silly! Roleplay! Fun!! I love it! But the darker side is so fucking creepy and can involve LEGAL ISSUES.

Yes, most of the popular blogs are run by minors. But lets say ones not? A 18 year old SEXTING with a 13 year old is creepy. Stay fucking safe. Know your limits. Also, nsfw breaks TUMBLRS rules.

Its just so weird.

Gimmick Shield for @bees-official!

Blazon: Sable seme of bees rose grady argent, on a roundel rose honeycombed argent fimbriated argent a pair of capital letters "B" conjoined Or.

This is an example of what heralds refer to as a cant, or visual pun. Normally this shield would be blazoned as 2 capital letters "B" combatant Or (I actually had to phrase it that way to get Drawshield to render it properly), but instead I opted for a pair conjoined, a term reserved for wings. So this is a cant with letter Bs in the shape of a bee’s wings. @/bees-official actually wanted me to change it to be more obviously also an insect, but it felt too on-the-nose that way. I compensated by adjusting the blazon to use the wing terminology.

no. I asked you for a favorite color that wasn’t yellow because I already had some yellow going on in my working designs, so I didn’t want main and accent colors to be the same. I actually took most of it out of the final final design after I started from scratch.

Yellow is also a bit weird because of a technical rule in heraldry. Yellow (Or—gold) and white (argent—silver) are "metals", doing double duty as the colors they represent and as actual precious metals. Basically all the other colors are "tinctures". Shields have their patterns divided into two categories: ordinaries and charges. On your final shield, the pink circle is an ordinary and the conjoined B wings are a charge. There’s supposed to only be one ordinary. The base color (or field) and ordinary can’t both be a tincture or metal, originally because craftsmen wouldn’t be able to keep clean lines if paints were running and mixing or molten metals were melting each other. So that led to the Rule of Tinctures. Charges, like the B wings, got applied afterwards on a second layer by a more skilled worker and could ignore that rule. If you look close at the final shield, there’s a white border around the pink circle (fimbriated argent in the blazon). This is so the pink and black wouldn’t touch and technically still be following the Rule of Tinctures.

Flag transform! Alternate American Flag as dreamed by @random-dandelion

Blazon: Barry-of-13 crimson argent, on a square per fess sable grey argent purpure in dexter chief very much larger larger much lower very much to the sinister to the dexter (anchored in upper corner and extending to the seventh stripe) a hedgehog grady gules.

Didn’t feel like adding the blazon information for how Knuckles was posed since Drawshield doesn’t even have support for an echidna charge.

Also, for some reason it’s an absolute nightmare to get Drawshield to behave and have a square escutcheon that aligns with anything ever. It’s close enough

hi anon! I'm not finding anything for that blog. Check if you spelled it correctly and that you're not shadowbanned. If you type an @ you can make sure everything is right with the autocomplete and then if you don't want to get a ping just put a slash through it (for example I only had to type `he` for it to autocomplete to @/heraldic-shields)
