I'm hematite, or hema. im a mutant and im here to post. (this isnt my choice, the professor thought it was a good idea)

Build: sort of skinny, has muscle, not curvy

Hair: thin, split ends, goes down to her mid back, no layers or depth, oily, messy

Hair color: black with some faint grey in the lower layers

Eyes: downturned, dark green, dark circles around them, thin lashes, wide

Race: humanoid looking mutant, German/American

Style: wears pretty much anything she's told to wear, likes long skirts and pretty ruffled dresses, sort of gothic I guess

Notes: was abandoned by her dad at 14, found by X-Men after X2 but before the last stand, as she gets older, she forgets more and more

Family: lumberjack father john, missing mother Dorothy, extended family

Mutation: has deer legs (starts mid-thigh, has hair), can heal people, can turn into a cryptid called a “not deer” but then has to stay that way for a good long while. When she gets gravely hurt, she does die but then comes back as a “not deer" and eventually turns back into herself before “dying”. Ages slowly.

Past: born to a lumberjack who worked in the redwoods back in the 1950s. Born a mutant, the family thought she was a curse for hunting deer and killing deer without eating them. They named her hematite for protection, thinking that if they called her a crystal it would keep them safer, also not wanting to give her a human name. She was very feared, especially because of her appearance. They would carve protection sigils into her body to try and contain the "evil" in her. When her father John found out that the redwoods were going to be made into a protected national park, he took the opportunity to get rid of her, taking her to work with him only to decapitate her and leave her there. She turned to her other form, a “not deer’, living on and hiding in the woods until she eventually turned back. She spotted by humans enough that it drew Xaviers attention, and he collected her, keeping her safe.
