seeing limited success with doing simple tarot style divination with regular playing cards. might be a fluke but for now I'm happy about that. usually I suck at divination.

Nothing makes me have more faith in my community than posting something in the discord about how I'm hesitant to work with Freyja as an ace person due to her more sexual aspects and getting replies from five or six different acespec people confirming that they absolutely love Freyja and sex has never once come up in their relationship with her, then segueing into a conversation about how of course she's great at boundaries, how else would she get cats to pull her chariot
Inclusive Heathens really walk their talk when it comes to inclusivity and I'm continually fucking floored.

Hello Norse Pagans (or those knowledgeable about Norse mythology)! :D
Samhain/Halloween/All Hallow's Eve is coming up soon, and as a baby pagan, I'd like to know the Norse version, if there is any.
I'm very fluid in my practice as to whether it's Norse or Celtic, and I'm aware that it can be interchangeable, but it would still be nice to know.
So, what are the differences between Vetrnaetr, Alfablot, and Samhain/Halloween? Is there a Norse version of Halloween? What do you do on that/those day(s)? Any resources you can point me to (preferably not a video, if possible)?
Thank you so much!!! :D

You know actually I think the worst thing about being nonhuman is that people just don't take it seriously. If I were to tell someone about my non-human identity they just think I'm joking or would think I'm crazy and that fucking sucks that something so important to my identity has to be ignored for me to be taken seriously

She is the one who stands with Her arms open,
Ready to welcome those who have walked across the Gjöll bridge.
She is not one to be tricked,
For Her holy name is renowned through the nine worlds,
All of which know of Her power:
She cradles the souls of those who come to rest with the Gods,
And She does not discriminate the peasant from the king,
Nor the humble from the noble.
To Her we send songs of praise.
Onto Her I entrust my life.
Beside Her does the Luminous One sit.
Upon Her is a crown made of ash.

Ta-raaaaaa, Kemeticblr… my very first set of homemade prayer beads. These are intended for Lady Sekhmet.
I know these are wonky. Please, though, PLEASE be nice about it. I spent idk how many grueling hours over this; this was a poor project choice considering that I can’t tie or do knots for shit.
There’s a lot of mistakes. But please ignore those? This was very difficult. Especially when I had it all ready and the string snapped… so I shortened it. I cursed and almost cried, I was in a rage like never before. Perfect for a deity like Sekhmet 😂
The knots are fragile, so I need to reduce these to home use. I have pink prayer beads that I got for my birthday that can be taken places and are more heavy duty. I use those more for worry beads used during prayer anyways.
The other choices of charms are pretty obvious, but I chose the tree charm because of Her epithet ‘Lady of the Acacia’. This links Her to Hathor, iirc?
(Clarification after I posted this: The beads are widely spaced apart because of personal preferences. I like being able to actually move them.)
I’m in the process of working on a prayer for these. HUGE HUGE THANKS to @kemetickowboy for writing me the prayer!!! I need to add some stuff to it to make it work with these specific prayer beads. It was all him though. I’ve already blabbed long enough, so I will end this with a closeup of the very first charm.
#i don't even go here (kemeticism) but#it's such a lovely post 🥹#people being enthusiastic about prayer beads and figuring out how to make it work for them is so special to me 🤌#i love itttttt

I saw a post for the Hellenic pantheon by @sarahsspirits and really liked it and had to make my own versions for the Norse pantheon.

When I was praying to Hel last night she told me that sometimes your weak in a way that's solved by practice and training, but sometimes you're weak in a way that's solved by rest and healing. I feel like I should share that with you (she said it was ok to post this).

another shoutout to people who's neurodivergency interacts with their worship. people with deity introjects. people who struggle to differentiate between spirit interactions and psychosis. people who have been a victim of gaslighting who repeatedly second-guess their signs. those with ptsd who can't pinpoint the intention of their gods. those with adhd or autism who struggle to find a routine in their worship, or over-routine their worship.
this isn't even the beginning of what can happen, but just know i'm proud of you.
