Rightfully so, or else doing such a thing would have been worthless. The King was his only real threat at the hotel. He was aware of his strength and his status. He knew the risks of initiating a dangerous game but thought it'd be beneficial if someone he could weasel his way into this man's mind ( perhaps, even if heart ). Whichever or both were sufficient enough if it drew them closer. And gaining favor with Charlie's father would further push her to his side.

Estranged? ) would be like a musical melody to his ears if it pissed her off. After all, whilst he was here, she was elsewhere. Regardless of whether he knew why or not, her absence still probably left a longing. And maybe if this scheme succeeded, he could finally be released from her hold somehow.

Because he couldn't have a daughter? Ha ha, perish the thought! He had no desire to have a child of his own. Playing a parental role to Charlie was enough. Besides, sinners reproducing was unheard of. ❝ Why would I bother? When what I want is right in front of me. Now if you're done with your pointless rambling there are chores to attend to. It was easier to just make sure the girls had a fun evening.

「 🍓A twitch of his ear as the jealous, petty whispers commence from their observers. This little game is entertaining enough, so he has no objections to a finale. But where would her lips grace this time? This is the question the ladies ponder in the background. And it's a matter of seconds before the answer to their question is revealed. Though he seems quite physically unaffected by the final affectionate kiss, a bit of static betrays him, expressing an ounce of surprise. Not to mention his shadow lurking on the wall behind them ( only opposed to surprise, it's smiling ).

The ladies gasp at the sight of such an intimate kiss. If they were wise, they'd make no attempts to try and woo what it seems she has already laid claim to.
