My dad is from Senegal and whenever he gets his hands on some GOOD natural peanut butter/peanut oil, he whips this up for us. It is so fucking good over rice good lord

This week’s Wife Wednesday features my favorite dish that my wife makes, and our go-to self care meal. This soup is comforting, delicious, and easy! My wife uses a yellow or white onion instead of the red (gross for us!) and uses ginger and garlic paste to save spoons. She doesn’t usually measure out the peanut butter or tomato paste, so our portions of those might be a bit bigger than the recipe. 

My wife wants to emphasize the importance of the step where you mix some of the hot broth in with the peanut butter/tomato paste BEFORE adding it to the broth. This is super important for the consistency of the soup! We serve this over rice. Definitely give it a try, it’s amazing!

guys i’m really really sorry. i haven’t been in a good place mentally and it’s affecting my post frequency on here. i need to take a break for a while. i don’t know how long it will be. i’m so sorry if we’ve been messaging and i haven’t answered. i’m having trouble keeping my mind stable enough for conversation. hopefully, in a couple of weeks i’ll be right back at it again but it’s not a good time right now.
