Boy was I fuckin wrong we got screwed out of Michael scenes and his redemption arc.
Let me talk about Michael really quick.
Michael is seen as evil.
Michael is seen as Lucifer's opposite.
He is in the shadows. Millenia of this has caused Michael to become insane with self hate. Michael does not feel loved.
When Michael tried to ruin Lucifer’s life, he changed his plan, because of Chloe showing him affection. He then tried to take it over to keep getting that affection he so desperately craved.
When Chloe found out the truth, Michael felt betrayed. Unloved, yet again.
This made him even angrier.
So he decided he'd take everything from his twin. The spot for God, and Chloe because he was probably jealous. (Killing Chloe was probably not the plan- he just wanted to separate them i think)
So, taking this into account:
Love is the most important thing in this show. As is redemption.
Michael has a lot of self hatred. Possibly guilt too.
So, where do the guilty go? Hell, of course. But since hell doesn't need a warden, what does it need?
Well, Mr. Said out bitch escaped hell. By moving on from his guilt.
Michael? He may have a ton of guilt.
Where does this lead us? Well, guys, I believe that hell needs a guilty "warden". Someone who can set the souls free from their guilt so they may go to heaven.
Michael is perfect for that- his arc in S6? One of his siblings probably threw him down to hell. And he feels guilty. So, to free himself of hell, he may also need to set Daniel free, so that Michael may find a chance at redemption as well.
Michael isn't evil per say. He is someone who is also hurting, like Lucifer did. Does that excuse his actions? Hell no, but it brings it into perspective, yes?
What do Y'all think??

Lucifer Morningstar’s broken journey
I strongly suggest you don’t continue reading if you were happy with S6. I don’t want to upset anyone.
I just need to get my feelings down. I need to talk about Lucifer’s character specifically and why that ending feels so, so terribly wrong.
Can we take a step back and remember just how much of a tortured character Lucifer is? How the show’s focus has always been about Lucifer’s turmoil, his painstaking emotional journey? In fact, it’s what made me fall in love with the show, and the character. The show writers (and Tom Ellis) always did such a phenomenal job depicting this severely damaged, tortured soul, and realizing on-screen so beautifully (and acccurately) what a long and painful process it is to even begin to heal from all Lucifer went through. It’s rare in storytelling that this is so well depicted as a slow progression. It was what I constantly commended the show/writers on.
And then S6 happened.
