Rick erased this embarrassing memory of him I can’t stop laughing

Rick and Morty S3 EP8 Theory (spoilers ahead)

This is just a theory you know? But what if there’s a real purpose why Rick erases memories from Morty every time Morty makes mistakes, Rick getting embarrassed etc. 

After this episode, we can really see that Rick controls everything Morty sees with the “Morty Mindblowers”. And yeah that’s a idiotic thing to do but what if Rick does it to make Morty like a better person than him. Rick obviously knows he’s a shitty person after what he had done in his life.We know that Rick have this strong bond with Morty and he really believes that Morty is going to surpass with his intelligence and logic, also Rick really cares about Morty.

I might support this theory with this proof, Rick said this from the first episode of season 2 (A Rickle in Time). 

“Be good morty, be better than me.”. 

For the summary, Rick obviously wants Morty to be a better person and he doesn’t want Morty to be in a shitty life like Rick experienced. I mean look at Morty’s character development all these 3 seasons and there’s the Morty Mindblower existing.
