Sometimes I approach my shrines and just sort of stand there. Like, I don't pray, make offerings, or anything. I'll just stand there and look at it. Or sit next to it.
For a while, this made me feel strange and a little guilty, even. But now I look to how I do similarly with my parents. I'll just go and sit quietly with them, or go lean on them. Just take comfort in their presence.
The Gods ARE our divine parents, after all.

Do you have any suggestions for offerings/ways to worship Brigid? Particularly Brigid as a pagan goddess, I know she was later included into Catholicism as a saint because pagans loved her so much! Also would love anything that focuses on low energy things as I’m chronically I’ll and disabled! This would mean a lot to me! I’ve done lots of research on my own but brain fog can be difficult to deal with! Thank you and no rush!
Hi my love! As a disabled babe also, I get what you mean and I'd love to help out!
Offerings and Worshipping Lady Brigid

First thing I found is actually that Brigid is associated with water and springs so water would be a perfect offering
Stay hydrated!
Light a candle for her! Brigid is associated with fire!
Bonfires or food related gatherings with friends/families/partners
She is associate with the Hearth/Home. The hearth is often immediately assumed to be the kitchen as wood stoves historically provided warmth for the families but now your hearth can be wherever you feel most comfortable and at home 🧡
Eat good meals!
Celebrate imbolc! Simmer pots are a great smelling, low energy way to do that!
Florals! Flowers flowers flowers everywhere! Brigid is associated with Spring!
Wear floral scented perfumes and floral dresses or shirts
Straw/hay was actually commonly used to welcome Brigid and her gifts into the home and would make a great offering!
Brigid is a goddess of protection and fertility so if you're trying for a baby! Do it to honour her
Alternatively! Take your birth control as an offering
Practice safe sex!
Brigid is revered as a healer, so take your meds babe!
Brigid is also associated with poetry and wisdom which means reading or writing poetry in her honour is a great offering for her
Domesticated animals are also sacred to her so take care of your furry, scaly and slimy friends
Dyeing your clothes, knitting or crocheting
Brewed drinks such as coffee, tea, beer or mead
Cow imagery (especially white cows)
Practice divination

Snowdrops may not be the most talked-about flowers in witchcraft, but they hold a very special significance. Blooming only at the start of the year, they symbolize purification, psychic awareness, love and hope (qualities that make them very powerful to spells and rituals.) Snowdrops also represent innocence, renewal, and protection from negativity. They are used as offerings for deities and they are a great addition to magic jars. To keep their energy throughout the year, it’s best to dry them while they’re fresh. :D
Snowdrops are especially meaningful during Imbolc, marking the transition from winter to spring. Closely tied to Brigid, they are often used in rituals as symbols of devotion and gratitude. Many witches turn to them when they connecr with Brigid and when they seek blessings for creativity, inspiration, and healing, welcoming the fresh energy of the season.

In Greek mythology, Persephone, the goddess of spring, had to spend autumn and winter in the underworld with Hades. According to legend, when she returned each spring, she brought snowdrops with her, proof that life was coming back to the world. Her time in the underworld symbolized death and stillness, as nature withered in her absence. But when she returned, everything started growing again. Snowdrops capture this cycle of death and renewal, representing both the quiet of winter and the return of life in spring.

ꨄ︎ The name comes from Greek (Galanthus) which translates to "milk flower."
ꨄ︎ Snowdrops are deeply connected to fae lore.
ꨄ︎ Dried snowdrops placed in sleep bags can promote deep sleep and prophetic dreams.
ꨄ︎ You can purify your home by placing snowdrops in different rooms or walking through your house with the flower.
ꨄ︎ In a Moldovan legend, the Snowdrop was born from an epic battle between Lady Spring and the Winter Witch. As they fought for control over the Earth, Lady Spring pricked her finger, and where her blood touched the snow, it melted, giving birth to a tiny Snowdrop flower. This marked the beginning of her reign over the world.
ꨄ︎ Snowdrops are associated with the dead and can offer comfort to those who are grieving, helping sorrow pass more quickly.
ꨄ︎ They are a dual-natured flower, symbolizing both life and death. Because of this, they are seen as both lucky and unlucky.

I have consumed a great many drinks tonight (thank the gods for grammarly and autocorrect) - I feel light and merry and free. After what has been the hardest start to a year I have ever experienced, it feels incredible to feel so joyous. I know this feeling won't last until the sunrise. I know this feeling won't remain when I am sober...when the wine and rum and liquor had left my system. But for now...for now I embrace it. I can laugh to my heart's content tonight so that I may cry when morning comes and all the sorrow comes rushing back. I feel this happiness in the presence of Lord Dionysus. And tomorrow, I'll feel my sadness in his presence too.
Praise be the Gods.
PSA to drink responsibly folks✌🏼

💜 Dionysus loves You 💜
💜 The god of wine doesn’t care if you drink too much, he understands your pain
💜 He also supports you if you try to break your addictions, he wants you to be free
💜 Dionysus not only had male lovers, but according to Aesop, he created queer people
💜 He could be intensely masculine or feminine, he wants you be yourself
💜 Dionysus is the patron of mental illnesses, he will be there for you through your struggles
💜 Dionysus is the patron of the oppressed, he shall help them find liberation
💜 Just as he protected his followers from the wrath of Pentheus, so too will he protect you should you find yourself persecuted for your religion
💜 His ancient rites were open to all, Greek and non-Greek. He was depicted as a foreigner and a protector and liberator of slaves
💜 He loves you no matter where you’re from, and will protect you from senseless hatred and bigotry
💜 He rejects notions of gender roles and destroys those who would repress women
💜 Dionysus loves you, no matter what

the thing about Dionysus is that he will reach down elbow-deep into your heart and pull out things you didn't even realize had been buried there

every time this comes up on my dash it cracks me up because this perfectly explains how I started worshipping Lord Dionysus 😂
one minute I'm talking to a friend about my religion and the next I'm sniffing my way round Aldi like a drug dog trying to find where the smell of cinnamon is coming from and finding a pinecone shaped candle

(my favorite recipe posts I've made over the years, plus backstories that sound like your grandmother's reminiscing over the past.)
LATE WINTER BUTTER ROLLS
My first post I ever made. I was pretty new to the tumblr community at the time. I loved kitchen witchcraft, and I'm the type of person who will ramble on about how much I love cooking and baking. This blog gave me an outlet to express my love of cooking, baking, paganism, and witcraft. And these rolls are very tasty, I make them to this day!
WITCHY TOMATO BASIL SOUP
Tasty, simple, and a crowd-pleaser. It's perfect for a beginner kitchen witch! It was also the second recipe I ever posted.
SWEET CREAM BUNS
It was a recipe given to me by one of my good friends at the time. Every time I make it, it gets devoured in less than 10 minutes. It was also my first recipe to get over 50 notes. I was shocked but ecstatic that so many people would even give it the time of day lol.
WITCHY THUMBPRINT COOKIES
These ones were just fun to make and delicious lol.
A WITCH’S COZY BUTTERNUT WINTER SOUP
A quick soup that feeds a lot of people during the fall season. Fall is my favorite season, so of course I'm very biased lol.
SAMHAIN PUMPKIN BREAD
I love pumpkin bread and apple cider... So why not combine the two? This one was definitely one of my favorites of all time. Moist pumpkin bread and chocolate chips have to be one of my favorite things on this planet. It also makes for the perfect gift for friends and family. Yummy!
ANGEL’S AWARD-WINNING LEMON POPPY SEED BREAD
I love dessert loaves of any kind, so naturally, this would be on the list lol.
MAPLE BUTTER COOKIES
Super simple comfort food! I love any time of cookie with brown sugar.
BRING ME POSITIVITY PECAN FRENCH TOAST BAKE
I love French toast, and I love positivity~
SAMHAIN SOUL CAKES RECIPE
These are really good! And traditional. If you celebrate Samhain, I recommend you make some soul cakes and have friends and family help decorate. I give the littles a bag of orange frosting and let them go crazy lol.
FEEL BETTER CHICKEN SOUP
One of my most recent is my witchy twist on chicken noodle soup!
