I hate cultural pressure restricting clothing. Imagine living in a world where absolutely nobody can give you shit about what you do or don't feel like wearing today. Like you could just go out in nothing but flip-flops and a thong one day because you didn't feel like wearing clothes, and the next day you're going out in full niqab because you woke up this morning and thought "hmm. no thank you. nobody gets to see even a glimpse of me today."

Looking at urban animals has become a lot more fulfilling after learning to not anthropomorphise them. Like the sparrows in the underground section of Helsinki railway station. I used to look at them mildly saddened, thinking that the poor things must have flown in here by accident and now can't get out. But they aren't trapped, really. They're smart birds, surely if they can find their way in, they could find their way out if they really wanted to. They don't care about human concepts of freedom, or manmade vs. natural environments. They are just as free wherever they are.
Here they are safe from the elements, safe from predators, clearly unbothered by the people. There's plenty of odd random scraps for food, and other sparrows to hang out with, and considering the way they sing, this is a place worth marking as territory. If they were trapped and distressed, I don't think that one would be yelling "THIS IS MY HOUSE. IF YOU'RE ANOTHER MAN AND YOU'RE IN MY HOUSE, FUCK YOU FOR BEING IN MY HOUSE."
They're here for the same reason as I am: less noise, wind, and cars, and easier access to deli ham.

Does it already hurt to OD from opiates or is it the (beautiful, necessary, lifesaving) Narcan part that hurts?
I can’t say I’ve personally OD’d on opiates, but from my understanding it’s not the opiates that hurt but the lack thereof when they wear off. Narcan completely overwhelms the brain’s opioid receptors, so it literally stops the high right then and there.
(Almost all my experience with narcan has been heroin or fent, so idk how it works for like, oxy, but I imagine it’s similar.)
But to answer your question - I think it’s just the ‘coming back to life’ that hurts. When someone overdoses on an opiate, they LITERALLY die; the drug will just keep repressing your nervous system to nothing.
When you get narcan, your body JOLTS awake from death; that’s the distressing part, I think. Sort of like a car crash - your body is okay going 70 mph, and your body is okay going 0 mph - but the ABRUPT CHANGE in speed kills you. Going from overdosing to sober (more or less) is a pretty traumatic thing for a body to go through (which is why you should still go to the hospital even if you’re feeling fine)
