Someone made a post about how Caleb has been treating MC like she needs to be protected and MC has been proving him right in how she's handled the situations in his arc compared to the other LIs arcs (or something along those lines)

And I was writing out this reply when tumblr decided to reload the app and vanished the post 😔

So here's some Caleb and MC analysis I guess?

I'm hoping that it's on purpose for character development reasons later on.

From what I can tell, they had a very 'Protector, Protected' relationship as kids, and when MC got old enough to grow out of that a bit, they were separated because of school and work a lot of the time, so there wasn't time for them to get used to their current roles.

So when Caleb appears after being 'dead', neither of them are used to the current power dynamics, and MC is trying to keep the peace while also staying close to Caleb. Which means Caleb falls back into the 'you're smaller than me so I'll protect you' mindset far easier.

And I think at this point, Caleb feels that if he's not protecting MC, she doesn't need him anymore. So he tries even harder to keep those roles the same even when she's proving that they aren't.

So hopefully later on in the story MC will have a chance to show how, even if she doesn't need to be protected, she still needs Caleb.

And Caleb can finally trust that MC wants and needs him beyond his ability to do things for her.

(At least that's my opinion, I just woke up so if I'm misremembering stuff let me know haha)

A Caleb theory/headcanon.

This has nothing to do with canon and is based solely on vibes ngl. Just some random thoughts I had about if they're going to go the reincarnation route for him or something else. Here are my thoughts!

Maybe the experiments that were done on Caleb and MC connected them in a way that let Caleb see her/ be 'with' her in her past lives (Like, he watched her past lives as a 'ghost' following her or smth. or he just saw them in dreams/induced visions.) and it caused him to become obsessed with keeping her safe since she either died or lived unhappily in those lives.

So, he's protective of her since he sees it as others causing her pain (even if she got herself into those situations from the start), but he's also scared of losing her to someone else since she was in love with the other LIs in those past lives.

My first ficlet/drabble! Inspired by a brief convo in the official LADS discord, I couldn't post it there because of guidelines, but it'll exist here from now on!

He sits there, holding her in his arms, as close as he can bring her without crawling into her chest, or making room for her in his own.

He watches her blood cover them both, a brilliant red that turns dark as the hours pass. He does not move, and when his people try to take her from him, he lashes out. He won't let her go, he can't.

He presses a kiss to her lips, her face, her hair, her neck. She has to know he loves her. He can't let her go if she doesn't know. He can't let her go at all. Her blood covers his lips, and he relishes in knowing that she's a part of him, but it's *not enough*. her heart still pours blood, and he can't lose what's left of her heart, her love, her soul.

He tenderly carves into her chest, lines clean, his hands are gentle as he cups her heart, pulling it out.

Their love was all-consuming, and all he can do now is consume.

✨Introduction Post✨

Hello all, I'm Helios! I'm fairly new to L&DS (I've been playing for a month) but it's already become a new hyperfixation, so I decided to make a blog for it! 😅

Some information about me, I'm 22, bi, and I'm a Rafayel and Caleb main!

I like both the fluffy and dark sides of fiction. I'm not sure where this blog will go, but I'll be posting ficlets, plot bunnies, and story prompts that I feel are fun but don't have a lot of ideas for.

I'll probably also post some analysis/Theories on the characters, but that'll wait until I'm more confident in my idea of them all.

I'm not really the best at finishing projects, but I'll try to keep everything bite-sized or open ended so I don't leave y'all hanging haha!

I don't know if I'll write smut at all, but even so, some of what I write will be 16+ due to suggestive and/or dark themes so please keep that in mind!
