What is Undertweak?

Ok, here we go. AUs are the thing right now in this crazy fandom of ours, and I’ve wanted to create my own for a long time. I finally had that moment, and I am ready to reveal my idea to the world. As @neoisi-demon said, every AU starts with a question. In this case, that question is, “What if the human souls were still intact after the pacifist run, AND Frisk took them up to the surface with them, AND gave one of them to Flowey/Asriel?” Crazy. Okie, here’s the story. Basically, in the AU, when Frisk completes the Pacifist route, the six human souls are not gone. They, with all of the monster souls, return to how they were before. Frisk brang them with them to the surface, where they communicate (like in the Omega Flowey Fight). Toriel tried to talk to them, after all, they are her children, but fails bc only humans can communicate with them. Frisk had been thinking about Asriel, and how they wanted him to get his happy ending as well, so they asked the souls if any of them would volunteer to be his soul, kinda like the #savegoatbro ‘cept frisk is still there. Two souls stepped forward, yellow and green. Yellow bc it’s the just thing to do, and Green bc it felt that everyone should have their happy ending and is willing to make any sacrifice necessary to do so. (O yea in this AU just pretend floweypot is canon or frisk knows exactly where to find him) Frisk picked the green soul without hesitation, and Flowey gladly accepted it, becoming Asriel once more. Asriel was different than in past times, with minor differences such as eye color, clothing choice, and his cooking abilities. Everyone was overjoyed, especially Toriel, who had two of her children back, and Alphys, who has her final amalgamate returned home to his family. Papyrus and Undyne were jealous of the smol goat child, whose spaghetti everyone favored. Everything was great for several weeks. However, there is one thing Frisk didn’t account for. Asriel now has the soul as well as the mind of the fallen human, making him bimental. The minds sometimes did not work in sync, and Asriel often tripped and crashed into things. Then, one day… (Oh, come on, this is Asriel we’re talking about, we know this isn’t gonna have a happy ending) the human soul cracked. No, I don’t mean like breaks into pieces but mentally cracked. It was frustrated and doesn’t have the PATIENCE to push on like this. It began attempting to free itself from Asriel’s body. Frisk is the only one who notices, and attempts to console it at no avail. Alphys may have extracted the determination from the souls, but now that the green soul has a vessel, it can easily create more. We all know what happens when determination enters a monster body. Yep. Asriel didn’t really melt, but his flower features began to return. He was kinda like a goat/flower/human amalgam, and all parts miserable. He told Frisk that he’d rather be a flower again than in his current form, constantly miserable. Everyone tried to help him, at no avail. The soul had lost its determination. No doctor had ever seen a case like his. Not even the wisest monsters nor humans had a clue how to help him. What will he do now? Will he reach out to other AUs? I guess we’ll have to find out.
