Lessons I’ve Learnt in Edinburgh (Part 2): 8. You can buy mulled wine by the bottle from the grocery store. And mull it at home. In your pyjamas. 9. You haven’t done Edinburgh properly until you’ve sat in a whiskey bar listening to foot stomping folk music. 10. There’s no such thing as too many fairy lights. 11. Kilts are a real thing. 12. Multiple times a day, you’ll make exclamations that rival your mum’s. Eg. ‘Where are her PANTS?’, ‘They’ll catch pneumonia dressed like that!’, and ‘She can't possibly be warm in that mid-drift?!’ 13. The closes, the cobblestoned streets, the winding steps, the ‘wee’ pubs and even the bone-biting cold, will steal your heart. Edinburgh, it's been a blast 💕 (at Edinburgh, United Kingdom)

You know you're in Scotland when you're walking around a CASTLE in the pouring rain. Loved this place so much. Loads of inspiration for future books found here 😍📚💕 (at Edinburgh Castle)

Things I’ve Learnt in Edinburgh (Part 1): 1. If you want to feel your ears burn, climb to the summit of Arthur’s Seat and remove your beanie. 2. Leaving the apartment takes a million times longer than usual because you’re wearing a million layers. And just as you’re walking out the door, you’ll realise you need to pee (again). 3. Every second shop is a pub with an excellent name. Eg. The Word’s End, The Devil’s Advocate, The Wee Pub, The Last Drop, Deacon Brodies Tavern, etc. 4. You’ll feel the need to visit all the aforementioned pubs, to tip your hat (or beanie) to their excellent names. 5. People ACTUALLY use the word ‘wee’. Eg. ‘I saw a wee rabbit!’ 6. Absolutely everything is better with mulled wine. Everything. 7. You’ll want to write down... Every. Single. Detail. Because this place was MADE for authors. Photo evidence of the climb to Arthur's Seat... Base. Halfway point. Summit. 👏🍾😍 (at Arthur's Seat)
