Danny Phantom: My PP Powers Theory
Okay, while I hate PP, like everyone with a sense in this fandom, I can't help but deny the notion made in video “Everything Wrong With Phantom Planet in Seven minutes or Less” by dannphann29.
“How did Danny get his powers back?”
Now with this I have a few theories.
1. When Danny had his powers “removed,” in all actuality, he made them dormant. Instead of them going away, they just lay there, with him unable to gain access to them. This also helps explain why his hair gained that white streak and why when in the shot where he got his powers back, the camara zooms in to his hair follicles where his DNA resigns. This also particularly explains why those circumstances where Sulker and the other ghosts are shooting at him that allows him to regain his powers. See, when the portal aticvated, it actually lightly sucked the excess amount of extoplasm that allowed to shift and caused his powers to become dormant. Now, when the ghosts are shooting at him, it somehow provides enough exctoplasm to cause the dormant powers to awaken again. But the question that demolishes this theory is “"Why?” “Why did the portal only suck the excess, not all, effectively killing Danny.” Or “Why did the ghosts shooting at him provide the exact amount to activate his powers again? Why not more? Why not exactly enough?” We may never know but anyway that's just theory 1.
Next, Theory 2. When Danny went in the portal, he effectively was slowly killing himself. See, his body had lived off this excess ectoplasm for almost four years now and it had literally changed his DNA. I bet if he kept himself without that excess ectoplasm for maybe a few more he would’ve probably died. So, when he gained back his powers, he essentially healed himself and killed himself. And, I think Danny realized this in advance because he and the gang made it sound awfully akin to a suicide. Now see, I know what your thinking “What!!! This is crazy!! You just want to hurt our pour, innocent boy.” And while that may be true, think about it? If Danny was essentially living off of this ectoplasm for almost a four year long time period, it would make sense that he would die from the lack of it right? Now here come the big question. Why did Danny die when  he regained his powers. Well, because he was already dying an because he was already half dead, the over shock from the ectoplasm coursing back in his blood would immediately kill him. “Then why can he still change back?” He can still change back because a) he was human and already had ectoplasm in his blood which changed to ectoplasm with human blood in it when he re-died and b) it is his obsession. See, when he died, all he thought about was being able to regain his powers which includes being able to switch between Fenton and Phantom. What if, his obsession with gaining back his powers when he rebecame ghost overrid his DNA and played into his fanatasy that he could switch between forms. And folks that was just theory 2.
Now, Theory 3. Well, well all know the story of how Danny gained his powers, right? I mean it’s literally the baseline of the intro. How could you not? Anyway, I noticed something. Clockworth is something a of lengnd in the ghost Zone, isn’t he? I mean, most ghosts regard him as a myth or worship him like a deity. So, what if Clockworth had the ability to talk to another deity, someone who was even more stronger or more powerful then him. Someone with the power to create ghosts. This person is the Ghost Zone. (I’m going to refer to it as GZ or use ‘she’ pronouns) She doesn’t usually chose ghosts, but with Danny, she made an exception. But she didn’t want to fully transform him, only halfway, so not to ruin his life. In turn, she contacted Clockworth, who then looked at his mystic screens of time and saw that this would in turn be a brillliant idea. So he agreed and froze Danny’s transformation permanently. Now, when Danny wanted for his powers to be gone, the GZ felt this and accepted it, locking his powers away until the day that he would want and accept them again. I also believe this explains why Clockworth stays and continues to help Danny grow in strength and power after the Dan incident.
