New Friends, New Adventures by BlazingBlackMage —————————————————————— I have been so excited for this day to finally come! Congratulations to Playtonic for the release of Yooka-Laylee! I’m more than ready to re-live some awesome childhood memories. :D

In 2016 I lost both Husker and Oliver, two members of my family who I've had for a long time..today I've lost another. Babe was our 18 year old Cockapoo that went in for what we hoped was a simple teeth cleaning...only to find out that the real root of her problems was kidney failure. We tried to see if she could have more time with us but over the past three days things weren't looking like they were going to get better, and we didn't want her to go through what Oliver did as he also suffered from kidney problems. So today we had to make the heartbreaking decision to put her to sleep.  Babe was my first dog, she was with my family for 18 years, and she just came into our lives one day by nearly getting hit by my Mom's car on the way to work. We're not sure if she was dumped or she strayed too far from her previous home but since no one claimed her when we put up posters she became our newest family member. Babe's been with us for so long that like Oliver and Husker I just can't imagine what it's going to be like without her..I had lost both of my dogs once when we had the house fire back in 2012 and they couldn't come to the rental house with us. I hadn't been able to see them for six months and I missed them every day..I can't stand the fact that the house is going to be just like that again without them.  I'm going to miss you so much Babe, you got me through a lot of hard times and you were an amazing friend and a good dog. I love you so much.

Name Change!

Hey everyone! I’m trying to make my tumblr a little more active for both my fandom blog and my art blog! But I wanted to swap my real internet name over to the art blog to make it easier for people who know me to find it. :> So! BlazingBlackMage is now HeavySplatlingDecos ArtoftheAreon is now BlazingBlackMage I’ll queue this a few times so everyone has a chance to see and I’ll change my icon a little later just to keep the confusion to a minumum!

OKAY HELLO. I am SO SORRY I haven’t been using this site that much! I got overwhelmed with how much was happening on my dash so I’ve gone and done a little purge of the blogs I follow. If I’ve un-followed you it is nothing personal at all! I just want my dash to be mostly artwork and content I really enjoy. :) I’ll also be uploading more frequently over on my art blog! @artoftheareon

It’s definitely been a while since I’ve drawn Splatoon artwork! I’ve been having a ton of fun playing again recently so I decided to go and revisit my old squid kid OC ideas and finally flesh them all out. :) Two down and six to go!
