Sally paid for the majority of the food and then let the fox pay the rest as to prevent this being seen as a gift. Once she got up, she bid Carmalita farewell and left the diner, quickly getting on her phone.

A few meetings and a few hours later, everything was set in stone and the arrangement made that Carmalita would be staying with Sally as a 'bodyguard' until further noticed or until the officer was needed.
