the feelings i have felt shameful and confusing, and i guess they still do, but speaking them out loud and setting my boundaries felt like a breath of fresh air. not only that, but voicing the fact that it does feel shameful and i do feel embarrassed to set this boundary, was the biggest relief. if this causes problems, it was never meant to work in the first place. it was doomed from the start. at the same time though, i love this guy and i don’t want him to compromise his own boundaries for me. i feel like I’m the only one making boundaries and that’s a little scary. is he just pretending he doesn’t have any? does he just want to appease me? is he going to implode one day? can’t know for sure unless it happens
