STOP THE SHOCK
Please stop scrolling and please take 26 seconds to watch this video (TW: Abuse of disabled people):
(Reposted by kind permission of @/auteach on TikTok).
On July 6th, a federal court overturned an FDA ban on the use of electroshock devices on autistic people, which the United Nations recognises as torture.
This blog will be dedicated to the #StopTheShock campaign and will include survivors’ stories and action points to help fight this decision and stop the torture of autistic people.
For a current list of action points, head over to the AuTeach website. PLEASE REBLOG and spread the word, even if you are not autistic, and follow this blog for updates.

I'm going to be reblogging a lot of stuff about this. It is extremely important
!!!IMPORTANT!!!
OCTOBER 15TH | NATIONAL GENERAL STRIKE
https://octoberstrike.com/
(from the website, NOT written by me. visit link listed above for more info) What is a General Strike?
“A general strike is a strike action in which a substantial proportion of the total labor force in a city, region, or country participates. General strikes are characterised by the participation of workers in a multitude of workplaces and tend to involve entire communities. General strikes first occurred in the mid-19th century and have characterised many historically important strikes.” (1)
Why Strike?
The U.S. Government is not serving its people
The United States is the only developed country that requires zero paid time off for maternity leave (2)
Unemployment rose to 14% in 2021 because companies refused to raise wages (3)
Only 100 corporations are responsible for 71% of all global carbon emissions (4)
Federal Minimum wage hasn’t been raised since 2009 (5)
40 million Americans live at, or below the national poverty line (6)
Pharmaceutical companies are extorting patients for medications (7)
And the average American is $90,460 in debt just to afford basic necessities like housing, food, clothes, education, and medical bills (8)
In an effort to combat this tyranny we propose a national Strike starting on October 15th, 2021.
This demonstration serves to show your company, and our country as a whole, that you deserve basic human rights.
Your labor is a bargaining tool and you are worth more than what society is offering you.
Our Goals:
25% corporate tax rate (No loopholes)
Free Healthcare for all
12 weeks paid paternity and maternity leave
$20 minimum wage
4 day work week
Stricter Environmental Regulations on Corporations (Bans on single use and micro plastics, and limited emissions)
If you support any or all of our goals, stand in solidarity with us on October 15th by taking off work.
What you can do:
Abstain from going in to work starting on October 15th
Do not participate in economic activity starting on October 15th
Contact your Local Representatives to express our demands
Spread the word and inform your family, friends, and colleagues about the strike
Increase class consciousness by educating those around you through our learn page
THIS IS IMPORTANT! PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD ONLINE AND THROUGHOUT YOUR COMMUNITY!
ALSO IMPORTANT:  OFFER SUPPORT FOR THOSE WHO MAY NEED IT IN YOUR COMMUNITY. People are more likely to participate in a strike if they know they have a safety net.
Offer to help with meals, ect. People are still going to need meds if the postal service isnt shipping. People are still going to need baby formula if they cant get into work.
WE HAVE 90 DAYS TO PREPARE. YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE.
I love and believe in you, you are not alone in wanting change and you can make a difference, even though it very often feels like you cant. you have so much power, so much more than you even realize.

please boost to help a struggling autistic 18 year old transmasc person
please i really need help, i havent had anything substantial to eat in days now and i’m having brain fog. i need just a couple dollars and i can eat. i haven’t been able to get my medication or HRT for months now and i feel miserable. i got my car totaled in a head on collision by a speeding driver in February of this year that left me in debt and permanently with chronic pain + being a really, really traumatic experience. i live alone and i’m very, very behind on rent and i have nowhere to go since my parents kicked me out when they found out i was trans. i’m honestly really, really scared and i don’t know how stuff is going to work out for me here.
my paypal is @skyve please if you cant give a couple dollars just boost.
if you can’t donate and want to help besides reblogging if you message me and try to talk to me that would make me really happy i’m just feeling really scared and alone right now. if you need proof you can also dm
heres the link https://www.paypal.me/skyve

Exactly. People just expect women to have children, and it's just cruel. If we dont want any, then leave us alone
stop telling your teenage daughters who say they don't want kids that they'll change their mind

Fuck the Olympics. Putting the nationalism of it aside for a second, the absolute nonsense happening this year with it is ridiculous. Disqualifying Sha’carri Richardson for smoking weed after she found out from a reporter that her mother died? Absolutely disgusting. Banning BLM apparel and afro swimming caps? Straight up racist. Deeming two cisgender Black women (Namibia's Christine Mboma and Beatrice Masilingi) ineligible for female classification because their natural testosterone levels were considered too high? A direct consequence of transphobia that the queer community has been saying would happen, with some misogynoir as well!
Boycott the Olympics!
