Missed the second day of CreateforThra with this but do you guys remember the post where I was playing around with a Stonewood-Grottan Gelfling? Here she is! This will not be her final design but wanted to share what I have so far.

Meet Esmeray, the suspicious forest-dwelling potion maker:

Esmeray is a creepy little Gelfling who enjoys the art of apothecary and has a not so great reputation among the Stonewood locals.

Stonewood Gelfling nickname her the "Witch of Shadows" or simply "the Witch" because her shops only open at night and are scattered all across the Endless Forest. She's also infamously known to sell illegal potions and poisons as well as practice/use ingredients considered taboo. Esemeray relishes in her reputation.

Her creepiness is mainly due to her reclusive nature so a lot of what she says and does comes off as socially awkward and eccentric.

Esemeray hates Gelfling due to abuse and harassment she and her family received. She will, however, still do business with them if they pay her well.

She has a much more favorable view towards Podlings and is always happy doing business with them.

Esmeray has a great respect to animals and nature and prefers their company instead of her own kind.

She has a sun allergy so she became nocturnal. If she has to be out in daylight, she needs to wear protective clothing.

Her Grottan mother was an accomplished alchemist and her Stonewood father was a "wood-watcher" (which is like a mix between silvologist and ranger).

Esemeray lives within one of the darkest corners of the Endless Forest. Her home was fashioned from an abandoned fort connected to a tunnel system used during the Arathim Wars. The tunnel systems are used to store ingredients as well as travel to her various drop off/shop locations for clients.

Esemeray has an unknown amount of potions on her person, some of which are tied to her hair. She likes to be prepared.

She has a pet Awlis named Roo which she raised when he was a baby. He's her closest companion.

Plenty of her clients are Podlings or Gelflings who know where to find her, but she has done business with other creatures as well (even the Skeksis!).

My next contribution for @createforthra Day 2: Original Characters

We all know I have like a billion Ocs and we all have a general sense about who they are. So I introduce to you my Fireling Oc I created back when I was working as an after school art teacher. We saw a portrait sketch of her so here is a full body sketch.

I’ll admit that I haven’t read past vol. 1 of Power of TDC and don’t know too much about the Firelings but I wanted to share them because I was really happy with the pose and glowing effect.

Ember is a fun Fireling who is always ready to either put on a performance or spin a fantastical tale. Ember cannot sing unfortunately, if you asked her to sing you a song be prepared to cover your ears. It’s like hearing baby Mumble trying to sing his heart song in “Happy Feet.”

Idk if it’s just me but I feel like my Firelings are low key gonna look similar to my Grottans because of the eyes.

Happy 2nd anniversary to TDC:AoR! (I’m hoping to post some more stuff as well today too)

Maeve’s comic is starting off much more cleaner sketch than I originally intended. I got a new art gig to help develop a young artist and it motivated me a lot to make Maeve’s comic closer to what my college penciled comics looked like. (I also intend on making my stonegrot pieces for Stonegrot week to be close to this level)

These are all characters I rarely draw, Ofir is the closest to being an exception. And so far it’s been nice drawing them and writing their dialogue. I can’t wait to write more for Vidra and Erdahn since only one other person knows more about them. I also can’t wait to write little mentions of the elder Stonesan siblings because you know how some grandparents can be and the Stonewood grandparents are them lol.

This comic is gonna focus on Maeve as well as overlap with some events from the series. Heads up that future pages will have a trigger warning and be tagged as such. This comic during it’s climax is gonna be a ride.

  Tavra is, possibly, being a bit ridiculous.   “Are you going to hold my hand for the entire night, love?”   “Yes,” Tavra follows Onica to the stove, setting out cups with her free hand as Onica pours steaming water for their ta, “Unless you say otherwise.”   Onica laughs, free and easy, silver Vapra bells chiming in her hair.  “After half a trine of waiting? No,” tugging them back to the low table she pulls Tavra down close beside her, smiling, “Hold on for as long as you like.”   Onica’s pearl amulet burns against Tavra’s heart, “Then I would never let go.”

@weekofroyalmelody day 3: stargazing

So I imagine that during Brea's visit to Sami thicket that she and Kylan sneak off after everyone goes to bed and he takes her out to a field and there are just a bunch of stars out in the sky. Since Brea lived in the city all her life she had never seen this many stars before (and you BET that brought a book or her journal or something).

I got this idea from when my mom took me out to visit my grandparents further out in the country and there were a bunch of stars out since we were further away from the city and lights. I love stargazing scenes in movies since they are just so romantic and imagining these is just 💓

Also since I found out about Royal melody week on like two days ago some of my submissions will be late.
