Yes! Heartwashing will include all five crew members, with each of them having their own demo before the full game is released! As of now, however, I do not have anyone who could make Swansea art on the server and I cannot make art on my own, so I depend on my friends' helping me.

No big updates right now, so here's some info about what the MC will be like:

MC's default pronouns will be they/them. I do not yet know if I will be able to include an option to pick your pronouns in the full game, but for the character demos, MC will be a they/them.

While that is very in the future, if the potential "cutscenes" (like in Mystic Messenger), MC will be represented by an androgynous silhouette in Pony Express uniform with mid-length hair.

MC's role on Tulpar will the the IT expert.

If I manage to get colored text to work, MC's color will most likely be purple.

After a while of considering, I've decided that I do, in fact, want Heartwashing to be one game. The smaller projects will only be demos, with two or three endings each. I want the full game to be bigger, but above everything I actually want it to happen in the first place.

Also, we have a main menu theme now! Tumblr won't let me upload it, so I yeeted it on Youtube, you can listen to it here.

While we still wait for Wrong Organ to reply, some small updates on all the assets I currently have in terms of art:

a sketch of one of Jimmy's sprites (I love the Sally Face artstyle on that boy)

For now, we're continuing the work. Worst case scenario, I'll use all the plots as fanfiction material.

So, uh... I probably should've done so before, but didn't think about it since I got too excited, but I've messaged Wrong Organ to ask where they stand on fan games. I hope they don't mind. I will stop of they don't give their permission.

heartwashing is, unfortunately, probably a long way from getting any actual progress, especially with no budget. i'd love to make it a small series, even if with just 20 minutes of gameplay, but for now, i'm still faaar in the drafts of potential plots.

the most i can offer right now is share some of the ideas that i had, but yeah. i'm still to get any art for the game or even get a program to code it.

right now, it's just plot ideas and slow re-learning on how to write basic code.

after brief consideration, i've realized making one big game might prove too much. instead, i'm considering making several smaller games. it would take less art, sprites, and time to make.

i am yet very far from making any progress with coding the game (i'm still getting started on coding refreshments, since there's a lot going on at work), but i do have a few very vague, rough drafts of the potential plot of the game(s).

for now, i'm calling (and tagging) anything fangame related as "#heartwashing dev log"

as of now, i am undecided what devices to make heartwashing for. right now, it's mostly pre-making the plots and trying to organize the art (visual and soundtrack). i can't tell if i'll be able to make it for a MacBook, since i don't have one, but i will definitely try.

Introducing: Heartwashing games!

Heartwashing is a series of short but sweet visual novels where you get to romance or befriend the Tulpar Crew! Yes, Jimmy is included. I'm not a coward.

Of course, this will take time, since I've never made a game before... But I'd love to talk about it while I try to create it. And give you updates along the way!
