this individual can be someone elias has known since college, or even from his first few weeks in hayfield (about 4 years ago). i would also be open to this person being someone new in elias' life. either way, this would be a situation where there is obvious chemistry between the two, but for one reason or another there is a lot of standing on the edge. the boundary has come close to being tested and teased, and has definitely flirted with. can be a slow burn, can progress into fwb situation, can be absolutely a dead end. ah thank you so much! you can apply with two muses to begin with, applying for more after a week of consistent activity! this will then be based case by case going forward, but as long as you’re active, i’m happy for you to bring as many muses as you like within reason!

details: This person would have just started at Persaud’s Hardware, working part-time hours to help Jem out around the store while he does other things. They could be anyone, but I think the most suitable candidate would be doing this job alongside something else: off the top of my head, I’m thinking a student trying to make some money while they’re at college, a parent whose kid has just gone to preschool, or somebody that works multiple jobs to try and make ends meet! The job pays $16 an hour, and he'll be a nice boss, promise!

details: Jem and Natalie were high school sweethearts, and were good friends for a long time before that. She’s an incredibly driven, intelligent woman, and has always aspired to a life beyond Hayfield Cove - a sentiment she and Jem unfortunately did not have in common. They made a life together after Natalie graduated from Stamford, but it was never going to last, not when the things they wanted for their futures stood in direct opposition to each other. They’ve been legally divorced for a month, but they’ve been separated for six more. Jem is still in love with her (their relationship has been almost half of his entire life, he doesn’t know how not to be in love with her), and would get back together with her in a heartbeat if there was some way they could make it work, but he’s doing his best to be respectful of her wishes. He’s always been so proud of her. (NB Natalie’s last name doesn’t have to be Persaud - it could be her maiden name, or some combination of the two).
