Dolores pursed her lips, she knew she didn't have to talk about it, she shouldn't talk about it.

"Do you remember me telling you about my Tio? About him being here. He showed up at my Mama and Papa's vow renewal. But I think he was invited, but also apparently most of the family knew besides Abuela?"

Dolores stated even though it sounded more like a question.

Bruno had shown up, everyone knew, and what Dolores had wanted and thought was a good thing had only seemed to fracture the family.

To make everyone worry.

And Dolores was worried, as everyone fretted and tip toed around each other.

She thought getting out of the house, a breath of fresh air would be good. She thought seeing Jun would distract her. And yet she couldn't help her own mind straying.

"Would it be hard to get one? Should I make sure I look ahead of time for next year?" Dolores didn't even know if she could find one now, and if she couldn't get access to one maybe she should get her hopes up.

Maybe she could source one quickly? Someone who knew someone? Were they fitted? Could she find one to borrow?

So many questioned flitted across her mind thinking about it.

Dolores was glad he grabbed the book, she wasn't all that sure herself what everything was but she could tell what looked the same and put them together.

"Some are going to do food, others are doing little trinkets. Food tends to be the easiest instead of trying to source things so I think most are going with food." Which was rarely a bad thing.

"If you're helping set up you're going to be welcomed to come and get snacks."

Dolores had a lot to learn, a lot to do. Sure she was just helping Jun's Mom but it would be amazing if she just knew things. She could fill in the blanks. She could step up.

She could impress her.

So that meant making sure she was researching.

Dolores wasn't surprised that her Mama had figured that out.

"It's kind of Korean culture and customs book? I thought I should probably know more? I can't just learn the language after all."

"Oh that's lovely." Dolores sometimes wondered what it would be like to go back home herself but the longer it took, the more likely she was to never go back. Nothing more than a visit.

Swynlake was her home.

"A few of us are doing a Bridgerton read. Not everyone likes the romance aspect of it but enough wanted to do that so we're having a little side story of our own. We're about half way through so we'll probably choose a new book in a week or too so we can order and get stock in."

Dolores glanced at the bag one more time before shrugging, At least it wasn't something that was going to break. That would be terrible.

"Apparently whoever broke them down last year just put them in a pile so I have the instructions but I think we should sort all the pieces first?" At least that felt like a good start.

"Do you want to try reading it first before starting? I can get a head start."

"Oh okay that's not too bad." Grocery shopping and cooking, Dolores could do that. She helped enough with cooking at home that she wasn't worried about being bad in the kitchen.

Dolores would honestly love to get a hanbok but it almost felt too much of an assumption. Too much, too big to actually do it. Instead she could admire her boyfriend in his and that was alright too.

"Does everyone? Tae? Nemo? Marlin?" Who else was going that might not. Hatter? Dolores would be surprised if he did.

"Cultural exchange booth. The kids will have to decorate but we're in charge of getting all the basics up. I even brought flags for the countries people are doing so we can mark it off." A little extra but it was fun.

The kids would come in choose what they needed and get straight to work.

"Is everything in there okay? That was a loud clang?" She didn't even need her hearing for that.

She was trying to impress the woman after all and this might be the best way to do that.

"Anything really. We let members choose. Sometimes we do books in other languages if we can find enough translated copies and someone who natively speaks it." It was her favourite thing learning phrases that held so much more importance than what she would have thought on her own.
