Okay, so⌠Weâre down to the last bowl of chips and three more people have taken their chances with the rain. Theyâll be remembered for their bravery but not their triumph. Anyway, how are you doing? Ready to crash yet? No pressure, thereâs life in that Spotify playlist yet.

Iâm just saying, as long as the kids donât do anything we wouldnât have done at their⌠Alright, scratch that. Leaves way too much room for shenanigans.
But yes, yes Simon is doing really well. His office is very cool, plaque on the desk and everything. Thanks for askingâ Do you want to see pictures?

âThereâs leftover cheese? Oh no, I really shouldnât? But if you insistâŚI suppose I could take a little bit, I guess. Fine, some Brie. Just to take it off your hands. And a bottle of wine? Really, youâre too sweet.â

âWhat? Oh, god no. I have no plans to go out in that rain, thank you very much. I did not dress for it at all, and I spent too much time on my eye shadow to let a little thing like water ruin it.â

âMy feet are wet. I abhor having wet toes.â An arm jostled her, thanks to how closely packed in everyone was. âExcuse me? Are you blind or are you just an utter moron?â

Of all the insignificant dumps in the world, the apocalypse just had to be taking place in this one. Seriouslyâ how much tulle did one town need? Marissa could hardly stomach the cutesy wootsy shit that was going on in Havensdale already. Prom night. Fucking hell. She hoped the rain had half drowned âem by now (it had certainly tried its best with her). Salvation came in the form of some dive bar (although, it was still too damn cutesy wootsy) called Franksâ. Marissa made sure to linger at the front door she pushed open loudly, making some very unnecessary eye contact with whoever looked her way. She didnât know if she wanted to kill someone, kiss âem or set the place on fire.
âWhiskey, top shelf. None of that ice shit and keep âem coming,â she nodded at the bartender, side-eyeing the person beside her, âAnd what about you?â @havensdalestartersâ

Well, if Iâm going to be stuck here because of the rain, I might as well have a drink. Or two. Or a shot?

Mary had been put through some of the most vigorous training that any hunter her age (of any age) had been put through. She had been through hell and survived in record time. She was the perfect little machine. So, just, like⌠This whole âfit in thing had made her softer. It must have because she was currently soaked through, having just made it back inside and she was suddenly a little bit miserable her feet were so wet. As if that was anywhere near the end of the world. âIt, um- Itâs raining.â

No, Iâm serious. Iâm serious. Youâve never seen anything as cutthroat as the egg and spoon race on Sportâs Day, I swear. Youâd think these kids were going for gold at the Olympics the way these parents were balling- shouting. Shoutinâ and balling. Ah, anyway. That was a while ago. Life pre-Havensdale, hardly worth the mention. @havensdalestartersâ

âExcuse me - Excuse me?â Agatha said as the rain was pouring down. âCan someone explain to me how to stop this shower?â Normally there was a button she had to turn and the shower would stop but for some reason she couldnât find a button in this shower at all.
