I decided to try downloading some Hitchcock inspired outfits for my classmates! Lisa Nelson went blonde and is sporting the “Alicia” outfit worn by Ingrid Bergman in “Notorious”, but the designer forgot to add a belt.  IMHO, she could also pass as “Carlotta” in “Vertigo” Anne Duffy as Grace Kelly, Portraying “Lisa Freemont” in “Rear Window”.Lovely, except I believe that the black fringe should come down further on the dress, but that's just me!  Now, to be honest, my old friend Ron Gall didn’t look a thing like Cary Grant, but slick back his hair and add some Ray-Ban glasses, and he makes a decent Roger Thornhill in “North By Northwest”! Anne, this time as Eva Marie Saint, portraying Eve Kendall on “North By Northwest”   In the fifth photo, we have Ron and Anne  respectively as Roger and Eve
Anne once again, but this time as Frances Stevens and myself as John “The Cat” Robie in “How to Catch a Thief, played by Grace Kelly and Cary Grant
I tried to make the stupid plane appear to be chasing Ron to recreate the “Cropdusting” scene but to no avail!
The next three pictures are of Ron this time playing the Jimmy Stewart role, John 'Scottie' Ferguson along with Tish Marlow in a blonde wig, as Barbara Bel Geddes in her role as Midge Wood in “Vertigo” More to come as I work on this “Hitchcock” theme a bit more!

Introduction Hello, and welcome to my CREATIVE re-telling of my matriculation at Waterloo Columbus High Schol in Waterloo, Iowa, class of 1980, via Sims 4! That's I in the foreground (Yeah, I took liberties with my waistline, lol!) and from left to right are Lisa Nelson, Tish Marlow, and Cindy Rollinger. NONE of these events that will unfold in these pages are meant to be taken as literal recreations of our lives in high school (Well, except for the forthcoming”Sister Mary Elephant” skit), and I do apologize to my classmates if the “Sim” I created of them doesn’t quite match the way they looked in High School...I had VERY tiny black and white photographs from our 1980 yearbook to work with and also had to work with the limitations of the Sims 4 game.  And hey, after nearly 40 years, it's hard to remember every little dimple, every eye color, hair color, etc! Also, sad to say, due to the space limitations on my laptop, it simply was not able to re-create all 230 plus members of my graduating class, but I do think I did a decent job of getting a good representation. So, my humblest apologies to those classmates that were left out of the project.  I will try my best to include you in future installments! This is a work in progress, so have patience! I debated with myself as to whether or not use maiden names or current names, but I decided to go with maiden names because I want this blog to feel as though Tumblr did exist in 1980, and you are reading this as if these pseudo-events just happened, and Tumblr got there with the story! Okay that boring stuff being said, let’s get back to 3231 West 9th Street with a song! Ring out a cheer Ring out a song To keep the fighting Sailors spirit strong Columbus High of Waterloo In every kind of test were proud of you! The green and white We proudly wave To bring honor to your name Ring out a cheer Ring out a song To keep the fighting spirit strong!
