Confident, wasn't he? Meru had the feeling that there was little to nothing that this person was not confident about though. He just seemed like one of those people who was up for facing anything and everything head-on, she liked people like that.

"You're on, but know that I am to be God of the Gaming World, and I won't be going easy on you one bit. Should we make a bet?"

"I don't think you should give autographs out that easily-"

Looks like her mention of Link seemed to light up something in this boy's mind... angel, he was an angel, not a boy, eh whatever. Either way, it looked like he was distracted from their earlier conversation and that was fine by her.

"Actually, he didn't say anything about you, so I think you're fine?" Was the 'one time' he was talking about referring to when SHAFT actually animated something for Palutena's reveal trailer?

"What about if I give you five autographs, how does that sound- Huh?"

Ah yes, Link, that tool the other warrior of light and the more popular of the two by a long shot. Pit was well familiar with the Hylian, everyone was. His ego was thoroughly crushed at this point.

"He’s around here too? What’s he been saying about me? I let him win that one time, don’t let anyone tell you otherwise!"

Whoa, whoa, whoa, wasn't he acting just a bit too desperate to give her his autograph? Man, was he trying to prove his popularity or something? Then again, he wasn't even known well enough to show up in that one anime... what was it called again? Aoi Sekai no Chuushin de? Probably. In any case, she kind of felt bad for him.

"Uh, how about you give me one later then? Anyway, have you already met Link? Are you guys going to have a smash fight?"

She 'guesses' she’s a fan? What does that even mean? The fact that she even knows who he is a pretty good indicator that she either had to dig deep on her research or is a longtime gamer.

"W-Wait, are you sure?"

"I mean, sure it’s a bit messy…" And in no way legible, "But, you could pawn it off if you wanted to. Money’s always good, right? So…"

Yup, this was definitely Pit from Kid Icarus. She wondered if that meant she was going to meet Dark Pit or Palutena too, now wouldn't that be even cooler? Ah well, Pit could do for now, he was after all technically the protagonist of the game.

"A fan, I guess so, but I don't need your autograph!"

If the angel had a nickle for every time he had been called by that name he’d probably be able to spend a good few hours at the arcades. This Icarus guy must sure look a lot like him.

Nonetheless, having someone recognize him was rare.

"Oh, are you a fan? What can I do for you, maybe an autograph?"

"Hinata-kun then! And you start off how you'd normally would, by selecting 'New Game'!" And she handed him a handheld, a finger pointing to the menu screen. "Then you set up your profile, yanno, name, birthday, favorite color, and all that other stuff!"

“Hatenko Meru? Alright, gotcha! I’m Hinata Shoyo, nice to meet you!” A small pause, then he continued talking. “So, uh… how do you play?”

Seeing as how he didn't take her hand, he was either very prideful or very shy. She would take it as the last one as she caught the light reddening of his cheeks. He was kind of a cute kid and he was also very serious, wasn't he? Seeing how he was dutifully picking up the banana peel, she couldn't help but feel guilty. Clapping her hands together, she faced him with an apologetic expression.

"I'm so sorry that I didn't pick it up when I saw it! I didn't think that anyone was going to slip on it, but I really should have thrown it myself anyway."

     He paused when the girl started to walk up to him and, when she offered him a hand, he stubbornly, but lightly, nudged it away with the back of one of his own. Hitsugaya stood slowly and dusted himself off, a light blush upon his cheeks from embarrassment. “Thank you for your concern… but it was only… a slip-up.” He said simply.

     He walked over to pick the banana peel up, tossing it into the nearest garbage can. “Honestly. people can be so careless about leaving their garbage lying around.”

The moment she heard that he loved video games and going to the arcade, she knew that this was going to be a beautiful and very long-lasting friendship. With a grin did she lightly elbow her new comrade.

"Good, good! I might have lost in this fight, but if it's a video game then there's no way I'll lose!"

Not that she would say no to getting an autograph, but she knew better than to up and ask for one... when she first met him in a public place like this at least. Maybe she could just grab one at a later time, there was surely a spot or two in her room where she could put autographs from famous people.

"Hmm, where to start? I'm cool with anywhere! I mean, I don't know where anything is in the first place."

He can lead and she'll follow.

Well, yeah, that’d be logical. All things considered.

At least she seemed enthusiastic. Maybe she’d want his autograph, start a fanclub. Yeah, right. The things he’d dreamed about as a kid. Not likely.

Cloud spread his hands a bit, dropped them to his side. Big city. Lots of places to go, things to see. Six sectors of city. Countless things to buy and ways to get killed. Could be fun. Could be incredibly dangerous. Could even be both at the same time. “Where do you want to start?”

"Dangerous chemicals, huh? Sounds pretty bad, I guess we should pack some gas masks or something if we come down here again. And other's?" She wondered for a moment if other people from his game were here, oh gosh, what was she to do if she could actually meet the Princess Zelda(s).

Even with her words, she had already started to go down the set path, knowing that her new friend wouldn't just idly stand by. "Maybe it sounds funny to you, but gotta keep an open mind when you're brought to a whole new place like this, right?"

“Yup! That’s what the guy said. He also mentioned some dangerous chemicals though, so don’t get too far away. We might need the other’s help if that takes us by surprise,” he advised in a friendly yet firm manner. The help was welcome but no one was gonna get hurt on his watch so he couldn’t accept a reckless partner.

Twirling his sword around his hand once, he re-gripped the hilt and started off towards the area he’d been told about. Just keep going and you’ll be in it eventually, he’d been told. He snorted out a laugh at her last comment as he walked. “What kind of gem would be in the ground or walls? You’re funny, y’know.”

Well would you look at that, it wasn't a bird, nor was it a plane, it wasn't even superman, but an angel. An angel who could not fly. Those clothes, that weapon, even the dumb look on their face, there was only one being that this could be.

"It's Kid Icaru-I mean Pit!"

"You're quite the forgetful fellow, aren't ya? We already introduced ourselves before, but I guess the fight was pretty intense. My name's Meru Hatenko! A mage huh, I always wondered if they existed and I guess you're living proof that they do!"

Looking at him up and down, he seemed to be just like her though, they couldn't have been very different people. Maybe even she could learn magic too! "Oh, say... do you like video games?"

In all honesty, she couldn't remember the last time she had lost in an actual fight. Maybe a few times to Ren? So, this feeling of wanting to improve in order to prevent losing the next time... it was pretty good! Then again, she still wasn't at 100%, but that mattered little to her. She would still work harder in order to match up better against the person before her. Taking his hand, she got up with a smile on her face.

"You better! That was some of the most fun I've had in a while! Next time, you won't have such a huge handicap over me."

"Not a huge fan, huh? Then I'm even more excited for you to try out my game! Oh right, introductions, err... you're Japanese, right? In that case, my name's Hatenko Meru, nice to meetcha!"

“Sure! I’m not a huge fan of visual novels, but I can try. It sounds very interesting, uh… what’s your name?”

Now, Meru had also seen that banana peel, but she didn't think it was such a obstruction. In fact, anyone who was at least half-paying attention should have been able to see it, so it came as a surprise to her when someone did slip on it. She kind of felt bad for them... maybe she should have picked it up before.

"Ummm, you okay?" She held a hand out to them, offering to help them up.

He hadn’t really been paying attention to where he was going. Before he knew it, his foot had landed on something rather slick and he was lying on his back, staring up at the sky. Upon sitting up, he rubbed his head to check and see what he had slipped upon.

A banana peel had been dropped in the middle of the path. How careless! He had just hoped nobody had seen the embarrassing act of what some would think was comedy gold.

This Natsu was a true fighter, she knew to expect only the best from him. Now, whether or not that "best" was going to do some damage(or more) to her, that depended on the both of him. His power against her skills. For what might have been a month or so, she smiled in exhilaration of the uncertainty of how much she'd get hurt from battle.

"No need to worry about me!"

And it seemed he didn't, at least not if she decided by the force of his punch.

As if wanting her to, the punch was indeed so wide that she'd have to be lacking in terms of battle instinct, to not see it. Thus, most likely being led by him, she dodged it despite knowing that there was no way she'd be able to avoid the shockwave, Instead, with a half-step back, she crossed her arms and crouched her body, hopefully lessening the amount of debris and whatnot that would hit her. Her feet would skid on the ground for a bit, before the friction would cause her to fall and slide for a little on her back. After the unwanted rollercaster-like ride had ended, she lay with her arms and legs spread out, her breathing slightly uneven. A laugh escaped her throat, "Looks like... you're... pretty good..."

It looks like the Chicken Expert was unimpressed and now she must learn from the master.

Watching in slight awe, she paid close attention so that his knowledge would seep into her being after her previous failure. "Oh, okay, I think I got it! Here I go!" You'd think she'd give up, but no.

Mimicking him, she flapped and clucked and scraped at those same pieces of nonexistent corn. There was a wide smile on her face, this was a lot more fun than she thought it'd be.

     Watching for a bit, Donnel shakes his head.

     He steps forward, waving his hands. "Wait, wait, waaaait a second now! That ain’t how you do a chicken." He nods. “This is how you chicken.”

     "CLUCK, CLUCK, CLUCK, BUCK-CAWK!” Soon the farmboy joins in, flapping bent elbows and pretending to scrape at pieces of nonexistent corn.

"Wanna try it? I was dabbling into the visual novel style genre, it's just your basic high-school simulator though where you pick a club, build relationships in it, and become the best of the best so that you'll get a great scholarship when you graduate. Right now I only have sports clubs in it though."
